The smoothies are all in 24oz styrofoam cups that are sturdy and not cheaply made. The smoothie was delicious! It contained spinach, kale, mango, pineapple and banana. Definitely tasted banana the most. I'm not the biggest smoothie drinker but it lasted me all day. About $5 for a 24oz smoothie isn't a bad price at all. I stopped into this location to get my coworker a gift card for her going away present. Service was fast and both gentleman that assisted me were really friendly. Very clean and I got that tropical beach vibe. Can't wait to come back and try the sandwiches, salads and wraps! Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a great addition to the Richmond area. And this past time that I went, we had two smoothies and two quesadillas, and we both spent all afternoon in the bathroom. So they obviously are not up to their usual clean standards and they're having unsafe food handling issues or unsafe temperature issues. This is the first time that I have ever gotten sick from eating there. And it was both of us, so I know it was either the smoothie or the quesadilla. The cold brew was a vanilla sweet cream variety and that cold foam/sweet cream on top was so good (think thick whipped cream meets a marshmallow). We also got a half dozen donuts and they were so great! Really enjoyed the krullers and the raspberry filled one was delicious and unique! The shop itself is also really cute. I got some stickers from one of my favorite artists (the mincing mockingbird) and enjoyed perusing their housewares, gifts, jewelry, ceramics, kitchen goodies and more. Just delightful.
