Ham and Swiss was on point. No turkey melt even though it's on the menu. Don't even try!

Great option for lunch in Bessemer. Super clean dining area (and kitchen). Had the gyro, and it hit the spot.

It was a little too strong for me. The snapper was nice. The stuffing was a crab and shrimp dressing and the fish was topped with crab. Good experience and evening with friends

That's a huge plus; the number of times I've seen referees having to pass on the side because they didn't have utensils! The entree was a chicken pita. It did have a few fresh onions, but I enjoyed them since I didn't have to be the one dragon breathing around the field all day. We did have a choice of roasted potatoes or basmati rice. The potatoes went much quicker than the rice; I had the potatoes and they were fantastic. There was also a tray of chocolate chip cookies provided. I don't think they were frash made; they looked similar to other restaurants generic chocolate chip cookies. They were a nice addition to the lunch, though. They also provided sweet and unsweet tea in gallon jugs.

They also brought a large side box of chocolate chip cookies that were individually wrapped. Everyone loved the wraps, though the fresh onions were a little rough on some of us. Others took heed and removed a couple so their afternoon running up and down the field wasn't filled with regret. The potatoes were a hit; wish I could get them again.

The staff were friendly when taking my order and the food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with grilled vegetables and added a side of hummus and pita. The vegetables were well seasoned and fresh, and the hummus was really smooth and flavorful. The pita bread was warm, which made it great for dipping. Overall the meal felt lighter compared to some other restaurant meals but was still filling. From a public health perspective, I think options like this are important because they give people alternatives that are more plant based. Mediterranean cuisine tends to focus on vegetables, olive oil, and legumes, which are often considered part of a healthier dietary pattern. I appreciated that Taziki's offers vegetarian options that still feel like a full meal instead of just a small side dish. Overall, it was a good experience and I would order this again if I wanted something lighter and fresh.

It's literally a cute little mom and pop restaurant, so I knew that it was gonna be good, and it was gonna be authentic. When you walk in, you order, pay then find somewhere to sit. I ordered the pastichio with green beans, and my guy ordered the grilled ribeye with Greek potatoes and green beans. He absolutely loved the steak, as he said he would because he had been there before. He was as happy as a kid in a candy store. My pastichio was authentic and flavorful but in a couple of places it had been heated up too high which caused the pasta to be extra hard and inedible. Not necessarily a deal breaker. In fact, I placed a to-go order for this same dish to eat tomorrow. The owner was very personable and came around to make sure we were good. The owner's son also offered to discard our paper plates and utensils. Don't go here looking for a fancy, date night restaurant. However, if you want some authentic, well seasoned Greek dishes, this is your place. I will definitely return when I'm in the mood for some delicious Greek food.

Upon entering, we told Mr Oli (the owner) that it was our first visit. Not only did he explain the menu in great detail to us, but he gave us samples of the chicken salad, lamb and baklava while we made our decision on what we were ordering. I had my mind set on the chicken kabobs, but changed after he showed me a plated salmon meal. It was cooked just as I like it so I ordered one for myself. My guy, who isn't big on trying new things, opted for the lemon pepper wings and fries combo. However, he did agree to try the gyro meal on our next visit. We also ordered a special dessert Mr Oli told us was a secret recipe from his wife that could only be found at his restaurant. I was excited to try it! A short time later, our food was brought to our table by Mr Oli. My salmon was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The salad was fresh and the dressing complemented it well. The pita bread was served warm and the hummus was creamy and flavorful. My guy enjoyed his wings and said that he could taste the special touch Mr Oli put on them. The dessert was something special. Crispy, and fried golden with a unique taste, it definitely was something we would order again on our next visit. It wasn't sweet but met the needs of a sweet tooth calling. If that makes any sense, lol. The creamy cheese filling reminded me of a decadent cheesecake. The ambiance gave quaint neighborhood eatery. As we sat and waited on our food, we saw regulars come in and order. They chatted with Mr Oli as he prepared their orders. He's super friendly and I want to see his business thrive. Great customer service, delicious, healthy food at comparable prices makes for a 5 star review. I can't wait to return for the chicken kabobs!
