We were here for self dog wash stations- I was here on Sunday afternoon and we were able to use the both tubs without the reservation. It's right on the Main Street so parking can be really hard to find. However, we were able to use their parking spot in the back. This place offered online reservations, which is a great way to ensure you get your spot to clean your dog before headed home. I'm not a fan of waiting so this was a huge plus. They offer shampoo, conditioner, hot towels, regular towels, different brushes, and dryer- all for one price. I paid $48 for two dogs, which is a GREAT price for everything that was provided. The water pressure was great to wash my two dogs. And it was easy enough to use. I do have to say, the tub itself is not really short dogs friendly. The tubs were very deep, which is great for bigger dogs but for my corgi and frenchi, we had to bend down quite a bit. The tub does have the stairs for the dogs to get onto but it was pretty narrow. The boys that were working there were friendly, got our tubs set up and cleaned right after we were done. We will definitely be back if we are in Coronado again with the dogs. read more

We stopped by here to give her a bath and were surprised by how much they had to offer. The tub she was in was clean, and they had waterproof aprons that the humans could put on as well. I have been coming here for years. It was sold and remodeled. The shop is cute but the staff is unfriendly and at times rude. I have been there 4 times in the past 6 months hoping it will get better but each time I am disappointed. This used to be the best and friendliest place in town. Now they don't even acknowledge when you walk in the door. So sad, I used to really like this place. The one good thing is on Tuesday they have $10.00 self serve baths. I recently took ownership of my friends dogs. She had been battling Gastric cancer and when she went into hospice, her partner decided she was going to surrender their dog to the shelter. And I simply couldn't live w that. He's almost 4 y/o, but new to me. It's been about 10 days and he's adjusting wonderfully. Day 1 I took him, I gave him a batch which he was very nervous of (I was new to him as was the place); though it was a beautiful establishment. He's now book to be neutered, so a bath was needed. Wow great Owner he addressed the issues with his staff you can tell he truly cares about his business and his customers! Many other business owners should learn from him! Thank you Michael! Terrible Customer Service, Monday (yesterday) evening and we had still plenty of time to buy a bunch of supplies for our doggy before closing, but could not because they locked the door prior to closing, even they saw we were getting ready to enter the store, they continued to close the door and putting the closed sign in the windows. If I would be the business owner, I would fire this employees right away, turning paying costumers away because they do not feel like working, that is terrible. After a frolicky fun time at the Dog Beach, take a short jaunt over to Wag'N Tails for a nice clean bath before your trip home! The trickiest part is trying to find parking on Orange Ave., but once procured, you're in for a treat at this darling doggy business. Go through the adorable baby blue door, and head to the very back for self-serve doggy tubs. There you'll find two large tubs, a slip collar to secure your dog, two types of (very diluted) shampoo (original and dry skin), leave-in conditioner, warm towels, brush, and a blow dryer. The store was super crowded during this particular visit, so it was a bit difficult to maneuver around and not be in the way of others, or else we would have done some shopping. Some really cute and quality products here! Well staffed, and everyone was very friendly and accommodating even though Hendry and I were wreaking havoc in the back with that tub. Lol. We went to doggie beach in Coronado and finally got to take Odin to Wag'n Tails to get washed....and let me tell you we LOVED it. It's all about the how welcomed you feel once you walk into the door. The owner takes time to get you and your doggie by name and really is the sweetest lady. She has the best selection of collars and she tries very hard to keep the cost of the collar low - most of the very cute collars are between 15-20 dollars and that's a great price. A couple notes is that there is literally only 2 tubs so on weekends there will probably be a little bit of a wait but it's worth it. The price ($14) for a self-wash includes a selection of shampoos, use of the tub, towels & also use of the dryer. (Conditioner is an extra $2). read more

I recently purchased a chew toy for my 13 week puppy. The sales associate indicated that the toy was indestructible even though I informed her that the puppy was a serious chewer. The dog chewed through the toy in under 30 minutes. He proceeded to swallow the stuffing and threw up soon after. When I brought the toy back to the store and asked for a credit or another chew toy, they said "we do not give exchanges or credits." The sales associate obviously was misleading in her description of the toy as being "indestructible." As a result, I will never shop there again and do not recommend this store to any pet owners!!! read more

I go out of my way to come here so that low I can get an awesome inexpensive quick shower. They have the best products the friendliest staff as well as low cost prices. It's self-service wash or a groomer which is super fun when you want to connect with your dog and just have that time. I recommend this to anyone and everyone superclean facility hassle free! What a great local pet store, you must stop by if you are in Coronado. The staff is so kind and patient. We went in looking for a leash and collar with our newly adopted dog. Our new girl was a little too excited and rambunctious but they were very understanding. They even added a new toy for her adoption day and it's now her favorite. I have a French Bulldog who has special dietary needs and they really helped me get the best food for him. What I liked about Wag'N Tails: - Friendly customer service - Big bath tubs for the pups, which was nice for our 50 lb dog (maybe not so great for those with smaller dogs?) - Their shampoo smelled SOOOOO good and left our pup super soft - Ear cleaning product (included with the $16 self wash) are totally natural and essential oil based - Lots of products, such as collars and matching leashes, were 30-40% off when we were there (7/16) - Great selection of toys, treats, and pet care products. Those puppy pastries at the checkout counter look delicious! What I kind of didn't like, but it's not a big deal: - They only have two tubs. So if you visit on a busy day, you might end up waiting a bit. - Parking is a pain on Orange Street/ surrounding areas. At least metered parking is cheap on Coronado, unlike in San Diego! Overall, we had a very positive experience and will definitely come back after our next Coronado Dog Beach adventure. read more

We desperately needed to find a place to wash our standard Bernedoodle, Tucker, after some fun at the beach and dog parks! Washing him at home can be quiet a mess so we were so happy to find this place. And what a gem! When you first walk in, you are greeted by the most friendly staff willing to help at any point with anything you need during your wash. The owner is a total sweetheart and very knowledgeable too. The self wash area is in the back. VERY CLEAN!There are two tubs, well-organized and equipped with aprons for us to use during Tucker's wash, two different types of shampoo, leave-in conditioner, different brushes and plenty of clean towels. The water pressure is great and has the added bonus that you can control the temperature as well. Once washed, you can take them over to be dried with the self-controlled blow dryer. The best part of the whole thing is they take care of ALL the clean up when you are done! In the front, there are array of great dog treats and products to choose from. The owner was so sweet that after Tucker's wash, he was given a bunch of different specialty treats :) Washing Tucker can be such a chore but this place made it fun and so easy! This was our first visit but we will absolutely be back! read more

Cute little store with great employees. They have a wide range of treats and food (mostly for dogs). Their prices are a little high but for quality of the items and the customer service are worth it. The do it yourself bath area is only $12 with an additional dollar if you want to use conditioner. You get four towels, free range of all their shampoos, zoomies, ear cleaner and the blow dryer. Our dogs love this place, the staff remembers their names and always ask to give them treats plus a hug. They also offer military discount, and I believe a discount on baths for service animals. read more

I've never left a Yelp review before, but Wag'N Tails provided such excellent customer service that I just had to write something. One of my cats has a very strict diet because of medical issues, so changing formulas & brands is not an option. Because of supply chain issues, his food has been out of stock on and off for a few months now. More than 3 weeks ago, I called a few local pet stores and asked them if they could place a special order for my cat's food. Of all the places I called, Wag'N Tails was the only one that called me back to keep me updated. Thank you! They told me the item was out of stock, but that they'd keep placing the order until it'd arrive. And they most certainly did because I picked up my cat's food earlier today!
