To be fair, I did not board here. This review is about the communication and negativity I experienced before choosing to board with them. If you have a medium/large dog, don't waste your time! So I called to ask about availability for my boxer puppy (1.5 years old) and possibly my grandmothers smaller dog as well while we went out of town. I was told at that time they did have the availability, but told he couldn't hold the spots which is completely understandable. However most of our 20 minute conversation was spent on telling me about 4 times that they require bordatella to be up to date within the last 6 months which I told him our dogs were up to date so I'm not sure why it was reiterated like I was incompetent... and also he recommended 3-4 other boarding facilities all while telling me he didn't mean to sound negative he was just giving me all the information in case our dogs didn't work out. So that should've been the first Red flag. He also told me about an experience with a previous boxer that tried to bite when anxious or something like that... which I told him I couldn't even imagine because my boxer loved anything and everyone she comes in contact with. The entire conversation was negative. He spoke about some dogs having so much anxiety the owner is made to come back and get them, and he wanted me to bring my dog and pay for a day drop off to make sure she fit in. (Which I completely was willing to do and understood) Even though I told him multiple times my boxer is happy with any and everyone and any dog she's ever met. She doesn't meet a stranger. But still I was willing to let her meet them so I knew she'd be comfortable there. I really figured he didn't mean to be negative like he said, maybe he was just making sure I was fully aware of the ways a boarding situation could go wrong and not work out for some pets. Fast forward to two days ago I sent over shot records and immediately got an email back stating the dates were booked. Again I understood, it took a few days, maybe someone snagged them. It happens. BUT my grandmother decided after hearing how our conversation went that she would call and see how her experience with them would go seeing as she had the smaller/less energetic dog. She called yesterday without telling them she had any relation to me or my dog, and was told all about the amenities they offered, the dogs schedules and play areas they had, was warmly welcomed and told they had availability for the exact same dates I was just told they did not. She was told to drop by with her dog so they could meet but they did mot require her to leave her dog there for a day and pay their day rate. I honestly thought maybe they were just being up front and honest with me but I feel like if they were truly being honest they would've just told me they didn't want my bigger dog... and I could've spent my time looking elsewhere a lot sooner. It is just him and his wife so I do understand they have to only take what they can handle. But next time, be up front about not wanting to take a client instead of giving them the run around

Yes she did go to the vet for the incident I spent time explain to you. Either she ate something at a family members house causing her to need a vet visit or it was caused by anxiety of leaving her. We do have meds in case but I also told you she has spent time away since then and never had an issue. But I was completely open to dropping her off for the day to make sure. My grandmothers dog is younger than my boxer is, and also has never been boarded but was only required to have a meet and greet visit. The part that really just did it in for me was when you told her you had availability I think it was the very next day after emailing me that you did not. read more
