    Noah's Barks & Purrs

    (7 reviews)

PLEASE! PLEASE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO NOAH'S BARK AND PURRS!…read more On 17 May, at 8:55 a.m. , I took our little 18 month old Shih Tzu/ Bichon Frise' mix, to Noah's Bark and Purrs to be groomed. He was matted but not horribly. I was told by Stormy that he would have to be shaved down, and i was also asked to sign a waiver, because shaving mats can cause or reveal injuries. Stormy stated that pictures would be taken to show how he was matted, after being shaved. At 1:47 p.m. , I texted to see how our little fur baby was doing, Stormy replied that he was doing well and that they would call shortly. After being notified to pick up our baby, when arrived Stormy came out later and began showing me the pictures. Not one time did she mention his injury, as she was scrolling through the pictures, I saw the pic with our baby and a bloody cut on the left cranial region. She explained that this happens when a dog is matted and gets shaved. Then, she brought out our little fella. He had this glue substance over his cut and it was still bloody around the area. She stated that she didn't realize that she had injured him because he didn't make a sound. She stated that our little baby was okay and that I should take him home and let him rest, because she had spoken with the Vet about his injury and that the Vet instructed her to cover our little fella with the glue substance. We later learned that the Vet was not working, but has been retired for several years. I told her that I would like for our fur baby to be seen by his Vet, to take a look at his injury. Stormy stated that it was not necessary; because he's going to be fine and that I would incur a Vet bill. I don't understand why she said that she didn't hear him make a sound when he ended up receiving 5 stitches- believe our poor baby yelped with an injury as such. First, I was NEVER notified, prior to picking him up, that our poor baby had incurred an injury during grooming. I did not realize he was injured until I saw the pictures. Secondly, Stormy made excuses that this is something that happens, and she never did apologize- only more excuses, and how she has 20 years experience. Thirdly, if it was a serious injury why would she called a Retired Vet for instructions and why wasn't we notified. Upon leaving Noah's Bark and Purrs, I immediately went straight to our baby's Vet, despite Stormy suggesting that I take him home to rest, upon arrival, his Vet, I explained what happened and they took him immediately and begin treating him. He was clipped and clean around the area, and soak the glue to remove it. Not to mentioned, our baby required FIVE STITCHES! We are so furious as to how this occurred from shaving a matted pet, and he was not severely matted! If I taken our fur baby home, he could incurred a serious infection and GOD knows what else. He also had a temperature of 101. I'm positive it was from the injury and stress which Stormy and her 20 years' experience incurred.

She responded well to the kind staff. The place itself is in an older strip mall, and when you walk inside it's quite spacious -- absolutely no stacked crates, and they clean often. They even washed Coco's bed and blanket for her. I will certainly be using them for future travel dates because I know my dog is in good hands here.

We boarded our dog here during a short business trip and had an absolutely heartbreaking…read moreexperience. Our dog is a sensitive, anxious boy -- this was his first time away from home. We provided everything: his crate, toys, custom-cooked meals (beef, carrots, rice), dry food, water and food bowls, even a special chew stick. All they had to do was keep him safe, fed, and take him out. When we picked him up, they casually said he was "fine" -- just "a bit aggressive during the storm." That's a lie. They wouldn't even bring him out to us. We had to open the kennel ourselves, and he came out *terrified,* shaking, and trying to escape like his life depended on it. Once in the car, he shed an abnormal amount from stress. When we got home, the horror became clear: - His bowls and food containers were returned empty, but our dog was starving. - The chew stick was missing. - He drank and ate frantically as soon as he got home. - He struggled to urinate, and when he did, it was dark brown, thick, and painful. - He could barely poop -- then suddenly had 5 massive bowel movements and 11 urinations within few hours. His stomach was rock-hard and painful to touch. This poor dog clearly wasn't let outside, wasn't fed properly (if at all), and was likely locked in a small room for two days like in jail. This is not just unprofessional -- it's neglectful and cruel. I regret ever trusting them with my dog. If you care about your pet's health and emotional well-being, please go somewhere else. P.S. A year and a half ago he was a small puppy and this place under previous owner. This time dog was never been outside for 2 days. Never fed. He was very scared. The quality of this dog's "hotel" scared even German Shepherd! If I can put -10 stars, I would. There is no qualified stuff there and overall all conditions for the dogs are terrible. Super small place, packed with scared dogs all types and they are barking so loud all the time, so you can't talk to the stuff at all. So the stuff didn't even have a chance to hear any instructions of your dog. This place is not for a dog you love, definitely!

She is very understanding and always answers any questions you may have, and if she doesn't have the answer she will find it and get back to you. I am so grateful to the team at [Friendship Veterinary] for their incredible kindness and thoughtfulness. After my beloved bunny, Twinkie passed on 3/21/26 under the care of another clinic, (my bunny had GI stasis and had to visit the ER hospital in niceville since this happened over the weekend) they sent a heartfelt letter of condolences and flowers. Their compassion and understanding during such a difficult time meant the world to me. They treated Twinkie like family, not just a pet, and I will always be grateful for their caring hearts. I would highly recommend Friendship Veterinary to anyone with pets especially exotic animals! Thank you once again.

We decided a matinee play was the perfect time to try them. We came, got the tour, Collin was super nice and my pooch bounded outside to play on the turf. The place is immaculately clean. The suites have coated concrete and full height glass doors. It's very nice. Plus they're open Sunday's! The second time we tried them for boarding and were in a total bind and needed last minute accommodations. They Took him with open arms and fit us into their schedule. Thank you Caitlin and Collin! We get a daily report card (typically the next morning very early) with photos to see how he did. They have enrichment activities too like a splash pad and sprinklers. Love it. Also the end of stay bath, a must for all those "I missed you so bad" cuddles that are incoming on pickup. The people here are incredibly nice and accommodating. We feel very, very good taking him here. No concerns whatsoever. all the photos we got of him had a happy tail position. this is his boarding place now. They have shown us they can give our fur munchkin plenty of love.
