If I do remember the name I will update that business but the fact that Magnolia uses them is just wonderful. This is the second time that I've opted to use cremation services through a vet and this second time was a lot better and memorable experience compared to the first pet that I had lost. For around $100 fee, I was able to have my pet cremated and his ashes returned to me. They also sent some keepsakes to remember him by that included some paw prints and nose boops inked on index cards. His ashes were included in a beautiful wooden box. Needless to say I boo-hoo-ed . I felt they just went the extra mile.

Elk Creek was recommended by our dog groomer when we shared our frustrations (many) with the vet downtown and it was a great recommendation. The staff at Elk Creek is very personable and compassionate. This isn't just a job for any of them, it's a passion. From the person who takes calls and makes appointments to the doctors to the techs, every person we've dealt with has been understanding and caring. The exam rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet, so that your visit is kept private. The Doctors are the best we've ever been to. They listen to you and give you sound advice that's in the best interest of the (insert pet here). We find the prices for services and medication very reasonable, and making an appointment has never been a problem. As sad as it is, we've brought two of our dogs here to say goodbye to them. It's a terrible thing to do and it's incredibly difficult, but the staff understands that. They give you as much time as you need and make sure your pet is comfortable. As heartbreaking as it is, Elk Creek does it with care and dignity. Yes, it's about a 30 minute drive, but it's worth it for the care and the compassion the staff at Elk Creek has for your pet.

There is little parking, and what is provided is very small and awkward to maneuver in. The moment of entering Village Groomer, the stench is so powerful, I felt sick. It smells like a sewer and chemicals. I don't remember it smelling this way 20 years ago, but I remember our Bichon barely getting a haircut, though she looked fine. But my main concern was seeing the owner/groomer leave another dog on the table with the attachment around her neck while she left to assist me. What happened if the little dog jumped off the table while unwatched? Would he have hung himself? If I could give 0 stars, I would. I don't know how Village Groomer stays in business. Especially for anyone who can smell and see how unsanitary it looks.

The third time was at their new expanded location in Buckner. This time they charged me 20% more than before without telling me they had increased their prices. And I paid for a deshedding as always but when I got home I had to spend 30 minutes brushing him to get the shed fur out that they missed. All three times I tipped them 20%. Recently I went to their new website to sign up for an overnight boarding and bath for the same dog. The site did not work. So I emailed them my information and asked for a price including taxes. Their response was to tell me they booked me and asked what times I wanted to drop off and pick up but never gave me a price. I again asked for a price and sent them my times. Their reply was to text message me a bill that was ridiculously high, more than what their website showed it would cost for my size dog and the charge for a plain bath was what they used to charge me for a complete grooming. I replied by text about my disappointments and asked that they cancel my bill. I got no reply so later I emailed them my text message and asked for confirmation that this was cancelled. To this day I have had no reply. Boggles the mind why they would treat a repeat customer like this, especially a generous tipper but there are plenty of groomers around, I won't be going back here.
