Our family brings our fur baby here when we're expecting to be home late. Our dog isn't neutered yet, so he gets a solo session for now. He's only gone a few times, but he gets really excited the second we pull into the parking lot, so I'm sure he's loving it here. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 start is because I'm not sure how much, or if the experience will change for our dog once he's able to play with the other dogs, but I will definitely update once that time comes. read more

We have always had great experiences with Wag Hotels but this was our first time at this location. We were greeted right away at dropoff and pickup and staff were super friendly. From what I can tell, the employees are treated well - handlers are very confident and well trained. I think there are four (?) different play areas for different sizes and energy levels, and it was nice to see that there were always two handlers in the big dog areas :). We have a very strong, excitable 60 lb dog and it was great to see that they were always able to keep her high energy under control in the park, making it a great day for her and the other dogs. We also loved getting daily updates and photos of her in the app! On days that she wasn't in all day play, there were options to have treats and toys in her room to keep her stimulated outside of her playgroup. There really is nothing better than being able to go out of town knowing that your dog is well cared for, and you can tell they truly care for every dog here. Just used Wag for the first time and it was an amazing experience! Huge shoutout to Miguel at the front who helped us check out, he clearly really cares about the fur babies and after staying only a single night, our baby Riley (Slayden) was clearly attached to him. His attitude and actual customer service are also absolutely top-notch. Riley stayed in one of the top end suites. There's only a few of those in particular, so reserve as far in advance as you can! The suite allowed us to watch and talk to her whenever we wanted to (using their pet cam and Petzi app), she had her own twin-sized bed and a secondary cot, and she had her own TV for pup-friendly entertainment. They even asked us if we had any specific shows she would want to watch and spread some of her favorite toys that we brought with us around the room so she would feel more comfortable. They also personally read her a bedtime story to help her sleep! When she was at playtime, we could watch all of the dogs through the Wag website WagCam so we had full view of her anytime except for during her grooming. Through the cam we could see that every staff member in the playroom was exceptional and very attentive. They even pay attention to each pup's anxiety signals and will place anxious/overwhelmed pups in a less populated room with its own dedicated staff member so they can calm down and recover. Her grooming was also exceptional. She came back softer and smelling better than ever before in her life. Will absolutely be back and I know Riley will be excited to see Miguel and all of her new friends at Wag again! read more

Something has happened with management or with their expansion where this place has gone downhill. If you want to ensure that your pets are safe, healthy, and cared for I would highly recommend finding another boarding place. On multiple instances this year, Wag would not adjust its policy even slightly to help my family out. Most recently, when my wife was a day away from going into labor, and they left us high and dry in terms of being able to board our beloved dogs despite having a confirmed reservation, because one of them had a (bengin) cancer diagnosis with no side effects. I say this as a Wag customer of 6 years, who spent tens of thousands of dollars and who thought they had a meaningful relationship with the Carson location, and as someone who really loved the place and was thrilled to see it expand. Do not sign up, there are other options at all price points. read more

The level of service and care from this business towards its guests has gone down significantly in the last one to two years. This last time I left my dog with them was the worst experience I had with them so far. I boarded my dog for 5 days and upon returning and picking him up, he had urine all over his paws and legs. Two of the days he stayed there, he did not appear in the camera feeds provided. I checked during the appropriate times when the dogs where out. I have no idea what happened to my dog during that time but I am sure he did not get the same level of treatment from when I first started taking him there. Seeing from the most recent reviews of this business from others on both yelp and Google, I can see this is becoming a common occurrence. The addition of newer staff is was also prominent, which leads me to believe there is a lack of training. There is no reason why multiple dogs are being returned to their owners with urine all over them. This looks like a sign of neglect from the staff there. Not once in the 10 1/2 years I have had my dog has he been drenched in urine like that. In addition, my dog had a scheduled full grooming during that time which appeared to be sloppy upon inspection. I have been a long time customer since the early days when this business was Pooch Hotel and the decline in quality is significant since it converted to Wag. I am completely done with this place and I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

When they say everything happens for a reason, it's true. Finding The Wag Hotel has been the best blessing for our little Tuna Luna! I can't express my endorsement of and gratitude enough for the team at Wag! Carson. We went on a 2 week vacation- our first real Vacay in about 7 years- and left our two needy (medical and otherwise) pit mixes, ages 11 and 6. Jackie, Bella and other team members were in constant touch with us with updates and any questions. They went totally above and beyond to make our boys comfortable- trying to keep this short but I could go on and on with details. We were actually able to relax knowing the kids were being so well cared for. Yes, Wag is expensive, but I feel that it's worth it with this level of care, and I say that having had a lot of experience/exposure to different boarding facilities. This place is the least organized pet care company I have ever dealt with. We booked a two day stay and provided all of our documents (and were given the all clear). FAST forward to drop off and now all of a sudden, they won't take our pets due to a shot expiring during the stay (by ONE DAY). We've been taking our dogs to Wag for boarding and daycare since 2019, and they always take great care of our dogs. I like how they have cameras setup for All Day Play and their boarding suites, so I never have to worry and can see my dogs 24/7. They also observe our dogs carefully during playtime. Sometimes if my dogs get too anxious or overwhelmed, they take them back to their room and switch to a smaller play group instead. They also send out surveys for feedback pretty often and I noticed that many of the feedback I submitted in the past have been implemented. Their new app is a huge improvement and allows you to make reservations, update our pet profiles, and access the cameras all in one place. I like that they are always striving to improve. Little Louise LOVES going to doggie daycare at the Wag Hotel. She was only about 5 months old when she started going and has been a great opportunity for her to play and socialize with other dogs on a daily basis. It is also a great way for her get all her puppy energy out, as she usually passes out in the car before we even leave the parking lot. Her "big" sister, Roxy-Thelma, also goes to the Wag Hotel and it is so much fun to watch them on the WagCam, just wrestling and playing with each other all day long. The themed days are my favorite and I love receiving photos through the app of Louise and her daycare friends. This review is long over due. Wag hotel in Carson is AMAZING. Are you a fur mama? Fur papa? Work long hours? Not home enough? Home too much but your pup is still not getting enough play time? Wag is you answer. The staff at Carson wag is spectacular. They care about my little babies as much as I do. They keep a better eye on them too. I have been stuck home on work mans comp. Wag has been there to help support the mental and physical health of my two schipperkes. The all day play has helped socialize Doctor he has come out of his little shell and blossomed in ways I would never have imagined. And my little river song ( yes, my family and I are doctor who fans) she has been skittish of people but at wag I have seen via the 'Wag Cam' her interacting with the staff as well as other 'kids' at day care ( I call the other dogs kids cuz they are someone's babies) the mental stimulation she gets there tuckers her right out she is in bed by 8:30pm fast asleep till the next morning. Keirsha ( affectionately call Lady K) was quick to call when they noticed something off about river. Her and the staff separated river from the rest of the kids and called me immediately the vet gave her a clean bill of health that night just an upset tummy but still the care they showed not just for rivers Safty but the other 'kids'; rockstars man rockstars. I have been sending my fur babies here a little over a year now. Mike was the manager when I first started and he was amazing and calm when I would call in a panic thru our stressful hospital visits. Tiffany has recently taken on the mantle of manager and she has been so kind and respectful I can not wait to make new memories in 2021 ( cuz this year is pretty much over ) With her the staff at wag hotel. I was taking my dog to another pet groomer in Carson for the longest time, but unfortunately she moved on. I was trying to figure out where to take my dog Kato to get a fresh bath and cut. I've taken him to my local vet, but wanted to try a different place. The Wag Hotel in Carson has been established in the city for awhile and I live literally down the street from them. I decided to take my dog in one day to get groomed and I was totally happy with the outcome. Although, my dog was very anxious at first he did well. This is my second time taking him to get a sanitized cut and bath. Again, the groomer whose name was Siena did an awesome job. And my dog was definitely more calm this time around. The pricing is not too bad which was $60 total, but it's totally worth it. Kato looks good, smells good and I think he feels totally refreshed. I'm looking forward to taking my dog again to get groomed here and maybe even to one of the play day events sometime in the future. read more

My pup visited for about 7 days during spring break and she loved it. They took excellent care of her. My only recommendation is to make sure you fur baby is up to date on flea treatments. Brought our pup here for doggy daycare back in 2021 and back again today for her first try at daystay. I love having the three daycare options to accommodate your dog's needs and a variety of room options that best fit the size and needs of your dog. We usually do all day play with the daycare but today we are trying out the daystay option, meaning the dog has a few hours of socialization then has rest time in her own private room. It's a great option for my dog who needs to have a rest between playtime with other dogs. Tiffany also was able to accommodate my dog's daystay by including her in their activity for the day with tug of war and fetch playtime. We appreciate she was willing to bring some more fun for our dog who loves these activities. Upon check in every time, Tiffany is at the front desk ready to help. I hear there are other great employees too but I can only speak to how I've worked with Tiffany so far. Everyone on the phone, however, has been amazing and helpful so I appreciate that a lot. We will be back because our dog loves the people here and the doggy playtime! Seeing how she interacts with Tiffany made me feel like we are leaving our dog in a safe and fun place. They do not make it easy to book. I'd just like to know the rate, and the website makes me create an account, confirm the account email, then create full profiles for each pet (name, dob, breed, etc), then select dates from an unfriendly date selector. I'm on a mobile phone, and every step of this process is not user friendly. So I call the number. Get routed to voicemail twice. Maybe their service is great. I don't know. We live near LAX and there are plenty of boarding options close by, but instead drive a few more minutes to Wag Carson. We take our dog here both for boarding and daycare and are happy and, most importantly, trust that our girl is well taken care of! It's slightly pricier than other options, but you get quality and peace of mind. The facility is clean and hotel-like (unlike other places that are more like glorified warehouses). The people who work there are always so friendly, seem to really love animals, and our pup is always so happy to see them.
