Glad we discovered this spot! My husband loves Superman ice cream, and it's so hard to find, but they had it. That alone made the visit worth it. The customer service was good, and they offer plenty of flavors to choose from, plus a little area where you can grab a souvenir. I ordered a scoop myself, and it was delicious. So creamy and smooth, it honestly tasted like it had been freshly churned in-house. We will definitely be back. The ambiance isn't much to speak of, and I have no complaints. It's not really a sit-down place. I believe there was a small table outside, but overall it's more of a quick drop-in-and-out spot. We were just looking for a quick sweet treat, but were honestly amazed by how much they had to offer!! it really feels like a one-stop shop with so many delicious options to choose from and was also able to pick up some souvenirs to bring back to family! Each of us ordered something different, from the viral Dubai Chocolate cup, milkshakes and their bubble waffles cones! Every single thing was a hit. The ice cream is good, but the service is hostile. From the moment we walked in, the staff were rude. When my friend tried to sample flavors at the second booth, unaware of a limit, both employees snapped. One even started shouting that "common sense" should dictate you can't try everything. Lemme tell you buddy if there 3 sample limit, put up a sign or sybau instead of becoming frustrated at customers. read more

Such a fun ice cream spot! Actually it's a one stop shop. They have shakes,smoothies ,waffle and more. I was there with my kids and husband. Many delicious flavors and hard to choose from. My boyfriend and I enjoyed this location, within walking distance of the Charleston Market! He got a milkshake that came with a macaroon it in, that he loved! I had a scoop of their banana pudding ice cream which in my opinion, is to DIE for! For those that are picky, they do not have banana chunks in them lol, but they do have the crunch included from the typical wafer. We also walked around the rest of a city with one of their chicken empanadas, that was just okay. There wasn't a ton of information on this place online. Turns out it is embedded in a gift shop near the Charleston Market, which is a tourist trap area. I wouldn't have come if I'd realized the street it was on because most of the stuff there is not great. This place had some generic ice cream and other ingredients in a town full of local and innovative stuff. But I went ahead and tried a waffle, which was freshly made. I saw them using some greenish dough and wondered what the heck was going on, but closer perusal of the menu showed that the option I'd chosen had a spinach waffle in addition to the fruits on top. Strange, but credit where credit was due, the combination worked. There were a ton of berries and nutella inside, but still not enough to be worth the robust price. I'd look for local cool desserts elsewhere in the area; I've reviewed several and it's not like Charleston is lacking in quality desserts. read more

Walflin is a FANTASTIC addition to Downtown Charleston. Don't let the location deter you - it shares a shop with an antique store (maybe the same owner?) which is a little odd but I am so happy I tried it. The waffles are incredible and the staff always goes above and beyond. Everyone is so friendly and I can't say enough about the food - SO GOOD! Plus, the waffles are pretty easy to carry around, so no need to eat your dessert inside this antique shop if you don't want - take a stroll down market street while devouring this indulgent dessert! read more
