After driving five hours and checking in to a nearby hotel we decided to have a bite to eat. The Chick fil A had moved. We had looked at the online menu for the Waffle House and I had my heart and tastebuds set for a piece of chocolate pie. We walked in to an empty store. Two employees were laughing and seemed to be having a good time. It was 8:27 on what should have been a busy Friday night. One gentleman asked if we wanted to place a to-go order. We told him that we intended to dine in. We were informed that after 8:30pm all orders were to-go only. I then asked if I could get a piece of the chocolate pie to-go. I was told that they were out of chocolate pie. We left! This was Waffle House for pete's sake. They are open 24 hours a day and have no drive through! To their credit, the store was neat and clean. One thing about Waffle House, their bacon slapssssssssssss. Whew! As I was headed to the highway, this location was right there and I really wanted some bacon. Pulling into the lot, it is super small and spaces are limited. I was lucky as there were two spots that were coming available so I grabbed one. Walking in, the lady at the front door was very pleasant and welcomed me into Waffle House. The restaurant itself was super clean, the staff was busy working, and the seats were loaded. As I was doing take out, I proceeded to the take out area to place my order. The young lady who was on take outs was phenomenal. She was rocking and rolling and I mean all the way live. She was handling the in-person as well as online orders and had a full system going. I could neverrrrrrrr!!!!! She was amazing. When it came my turn to place my order, not only did the young lady greet me, she also asked me how my day was going so far!!!!!! What??? Pardon me????? In all my years of eating at Waffle House, no one has EVER Delivered service to this caliber. Ok.. back to my order. I placed my order, 2 orders of bacon, both Well Done, an order of white toast, grape jelly, and a sweet tea. Bloop! Once my order was placed, I took a seat and waited for my name to be called. The way the young lady had the orders running, I may have waited about 8 minutes maximum and my name was called. I got my bag and headed out the door. Oh yeah, she told me to have a great rest of my day as well. Now, don't judge me y'all. As I had about a 13 minute ride home, I was unable to wait. Lmboooooooooooo. I got in that car, cracked them lids and went to townnnnnnnnnnnnn. The Bacon was meaty, well done, salty, flavorful, and greasy just like I needed it to be. Oh my goshhhhhhhhhhhh. Idk what it is about the WF bacon but no brand compares. I savored every single chew. The toast was good with the grape jelly and balanced the salt from the bacon. The sweet tea was southern, homemade, sweet, refreshing, and amazing. Somebody's great auntie in the back with the church spoon made this tea. All in all, this was a great experience. The service. Came here on the way to the airport. This is located on a really busy street right before the on-ramp. The restaurant didn't feel as clean and inviting as the one downtown. The service is also slow and our orders came incomplete. I got the Texas Bacon Patty Melt with hashbrowns topped. They forgot to add the chili and forgot pickles. The burger was nice and juicy and the hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. The food is good and unfortunately the service as a let down. read more

You can't top the show by the staff during the week - on weekends there is a hostess, so things are a little calmer - but the crew that works this restaurant knows how to have a good time while they put out some good food. Wanda is our favorite server - she makes a fresh pot of coffee for us and we sure do appreciate that! My pecan waffle is loaded with pecans and nice and crisp, just like I ordered. Be aware all to go orders have a 20% fee added on top. It says 10% goes to the server but 10% is just a to go fee. This location was close to the hotel so we walked in around 1 in the afternoon . This location was small but very clean and As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff . This Waffle House is on it! They were super busy on a Sunday morning in December, but the entire staff was working hard and getting things done. This is the worst Waffle House I've ever been to. Who ever owns this location do not care about it's reputation, customers or staff. This wasn't the first time this happened at this location. Thank God they're building a new IHOP that should be ready in my area by the end of the month. I really had a bad experience here. I leave for work early in the morning. Around 430 or so I tried to call this location to place an order for carry-out. No one answered the phone. 430 in the morning at a business that is open 24 hours. They cant be busy and I know they are open. I called two more times still with no answer. About 10 minutes later I showed up there and they had two customers sitting at the counter. There were two guys working. One as the server and one as the cook. I ordered a ham/cheese omelet with an order of bacon and an order of sausage. The price came out to $14.50. WHAT ?? That seems like a lot. I didnt want the meal. Just the individual items. He said he had to charge me for a meal regardless of wether I got the hashbrowns or not. I was in a hurry and needed food for work so I stopped arguing with him. At this point I had not mentioned them not answering the phone. But while I was waiting on my food which took forever the phone rang. The server was not going to answer it but the cooked warned him by saying... " watch that phone man, you better pick it up, Ive seen corporate people sit in the parking lot and try to call the store as a test". So apparently that is a thing they do usually. We picked this Waffle House because of all the stops at this exit it had the best reviews, but the bathroom stank so bad I almost gagged. The paper towel dispenser wouldn't release paper towels. My waffle was burnt. Our food came out in two halves that had my husband eating cold eggs because he waited for his sausage. The server didn't give him his coffee until he was almost finished eating. We arrived this facility about 30 minutes ago. The facility was very busy, but no control or process of people coming into the facility to dine in. Management needs major improvement. We stood as a family for 25 minutes patiently awaiting to be seated to observe three families that entered the facility after us get seated. I spoke to management briefly about circumstance and decided to go eat at another facility. I will never go back to this facility again. This review may not be the norm. Why? Well, the first time that I visited this site, it left a lot to be desired. If my attitude wasn't that at least I can see how my food was being prepared and nothing "Hit" the floor and picked up and put on my plate...then I might be one of the customers that would not return. This was not the case at this Waffle House! On my second visit the situation was totally different! The service was awesome. The staff was simply superb! They went about cleaning up from the first shift's mess (the first shift is/was extremely busy, I was told) and at the same time gave me excellent service. People do not hesitate to complain...I, on the other hand, believe that if the service exceeds your expectations...then put pen to paper and let Waffle House know this.
