A waitress greeted us immediately, took our drink orders and answered all our questions. The fried shrimp were delicious! I also had fried catfish, hush puppies and mac and cheese, which were all delicious. I took the fried okra which was good, but I actually like mine more crispy. The fried green tomatoes were excellent! My wife also enjoyed à their fried chicken. We were delightfully amused at the tin pic pan for plates and old tin measuring cups for the drinks. Our waitress kept our drinks full. To be honest, we were too full for dessert, but I spied peach cobbler and ice cream. As expected, it was delicious! All of the staff were very friendly and we were happy with our experience. I wished it was closer to home to try the supper buffet!

They do serve your drinks in cool metal cups to drink out of which I found enjoyable My dining group was so disappointed in the food they left a pathetic tip which I was appalled at as the servers did provide fantastic service so I went and left a proper tip after my group left. The cost for the buffet was certainly on the expensive side and I could eat exceptionally better food at most of the best restaurants in New Orleans for what my buffet experience here cost. I believe most folks from Louisiana wouldn't enjoy the really bland food here. Overall this is simply just not the best food option for me but it sure seems popular with lots of other people so maybe it will meet your flavor preferences.

We needed lunch while on a road trip and Yelp came through for us once again!…read more This spot has a great vibe and cool decor. The staff were warm and helpful. Cocktails were creative and beautifully presented. The food was great - eclectic Asian would be my descriptor. We had the pickled veggies which included kim chi, black garlic, poblanos, pickles, and collards. The assortment was very nice. The pork and shrimp dumplings were a bit firmer than I'm used to, but not in a bad way, and the flavors were excellent. The pot roast egg rolls were a fun mashup. The okra was delicious - perfectly cooked and great balance of flavors. The pork belly buns were my favorite item. Lots of tender, crispy pork on a cloud soft bun. Yum! I will definitely return if in the area.

There are absolutely no shortages of places to eat in Hattiesburg. Some visiting might lean towards safe places with menu items they feel secure and safe with, and there's nothing wrong with that. But, if that's you you're missing out on some amazing food. Today I took my wife for mother's day as they had some special items on their menu, while also keeping their regular menu available. We started with their standard dumpling appetizer. We get it everytime we eat there and they're delicious every time. The meals we picked were the the kimchi cabanara and the shrimp and grits. Both on their special mother's day menu. Both were absolutely delicious with fresh ingrediants, balanced seasonings and amazing flavors. I'm Italian and grew up eating traditional family Sunday dinners but this bowl of pasta was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is very modern with a combination of traditional asian features mixed with some modern MTV inspired artwork. If you're into craft cocktails they got you covered as well. The only miss we had to day was our server never came back to take our dessert order, when we asked to order it he confused what we said for the bill and brought that instead. Not a deal breaker, we were actually too full for it anyway and we've had their desserts before. They always inventive and delicious. At the end of the day, one small service hiccup wasn't enough to overshadow what was an outstanding meal and experience. In a city packed with chain restaurants and predictable menus, places like this are what make Hattiesburg's food scene worth exploring. If you're willing to step outside your comfort zone a little, you'll be rewarded with creative dishes, quality ingredients, and flavors you'll still be thinking about on the drive home. We'll absolutely be back.

Went to the bar, nice big wooden bar, comfortable seating, lots of cool taps on the wall, with variety of beers.. had a little bit of nostalgia:) Bartender was very friendly, suggested a few things, we got the whole wings in Buffalo and Korean BBQ. We enjoyed them, they are meaty, and flavorful. We watched some football, enjoyed the atmosphere and would stop again if staying in the area!

The lighting is a bit dim for our old eyes but otherwise it has the feel of a pub. We loved that. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ordered the bacon cheddar fries. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

Great service good food fast paced environment I will say it was good…read more Was delighted to be there Great place to eat Try with friends after church

I pondered whether I was going to give Georgia Blue two stars or three stars. Even though I…read moreultimately landed on two, that may be a little unfair -- so let me tell you the whole experience and you can make your own determination. My brother, his wife, and I stopped in for a celebratory late lunch. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and my brother had a double Woodford on the rocks. My Old Fashioned $10 was really good. And obviously, it's pretty hard to mess up a double Woodford on the rocks -- unless you charge $21 for it. Good grief. I understand restaurant pricing, but somewhere around $15 seems a little more reasonable. That said, the drinks were good, our waitress was extremely attentive and as nice as she could be, and the restaurant was very clean. Absolutely zero complaints in those areas. Then came the appetizers. We ordered the turnip green bites and the fried pickles, roughly $15 and $12 respectively. The turnip green appetizer -- fried with cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, and turnip greens inside -- was absolutely wonderful. And the fried pickles were honestly some of the best I've ever eaten. In hindsight, we probably should have just paid the bill right then and left on a high note. I made a comment to my brother, sister-in-law, and the waitress: "If the appetizers are this good, sometimes restaurants let you down when you get to the entrée." Well, apparently I spoke that into existence. I don't know that I've ever seen a reg 10-ounce ribeye listed at "market price," something like bone-in Flintstone T-Rex cowboy maybe, so I told my brother, "These are going to be good." I teased my sister-in-law and asked her what she thought they would cost. She guessed $26. I laughed and said, "They're probably going to be around $40 apiece." She lost the bet. They were $38 each. And I would have been perfectly happy paying $38-$45 for a great ribeye. Before the steaks arrived, our waitress came back and asked if we were going to need steak sauce. My brother said, "I better not," and we all laughed. Unfortunately, the three of us were immediately disappointed after taking our first bites. The steaks were just bad. My brother said his reminded him of a Waffle House steak. My reply, "they're a touch above, but not much". That may sound harsh, but I understood exactly what he meant. They were thin -- maybe half an inch -- and had those perfect crisscross grill marks that almost looked like they came in that way. The whole thing reminded me more of Golden Corral or Western Sizzlin' from back in the day than what I expected from a $42 out the door ribeye. When our waitress came back and asked how everything was, we said it was fine, of course, because we were trying to be nice. But my brother then joked, "I should've taken the steak sauce." He was attempting to be humorous, and we all understood the comment for what it was. He also said that the meal was really about the company, not the steaks -- and that part was absolutely true. We were celebrating together and enjoyed being with one another. But we really did expect a lot more from the food. I understand beef is expensive. I don't mind paying $40 for a ribeye. But if you're going to charge $38 for a 10-ounce steak, the quality has to come somewhere close to the price. Our total lunch bill was about $225, including a $30+ tip, and that's what made the experience so disappointing. We weren't looking for a cheap meal. We were celebrating and were perfectly willing to spend the money. The service was very good. The restaurant was clean. The drinks were good. The appetizers were excellent. So I may upgrade my two stars to three. You just missed it on the steaks guys. But Georgia Blue desperately needs to have a conversation with whoever is supplying those ribeyes. When our waitress asked how everything was, we certainly weren't going to take it out on her -- she did her job exceptionally well. Georgia Blue, talk to your meat vendor.
