They aren't 24/7, they close at 10:30. The parking lot has not the best smell and the toilet flushes REALLY loud. But the employees are sweet and they make a decent decaf.

Any time is a good time to eat here - Personally I love it after a night on the town but any time of the day that I'm feeling breakfast-y this is my place and if you want to bet the ponies Harrah's LA Downs is right across the street

Occasionally horrendous service and you will be served dirty dishes, but that hash brown bowl is worth it all.

Some places don't just feed you -- they stay with you…read more Today I walked into this little restaurant and instantly felt at ease, like it was already familiar somehow. The room was beautiful in a quiet, elegant way, thoughtfully put together, warm and welcoming. And the people... every single waitress greeted us with kindness, but Miss Tammy -- oh, she was something special. The kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her forever. So sweet, so genuine, the kind of service you don't forget. The food came out and from the very first bite, it was clear this was a place that cooks with love. The eggs, the omelet, the French toast -- everything tasted like comfort. And then there was the millionaire bacon -- perfectly caramelized with brown sugar and just a touch of chili flakes. Sweet, smoky, with a gentle heat that teased your taste buds like heaven. Absolutely unforgettable. The portions were generous in the best way, and the prices were more than fair, especially for a breakfast that leaves you full and happy. But listen... the coffee. That coffee wrapped around you like a warm blanket. And then came the meat pies -- crispy, flavorful, absolutely unforgettable. Paired with those potatoes -- golden and crisp on the outside, soft and tender on the inside -- perfectly made, just the way they should be. The owner was there today too, sitting with friends, laughing and enjoying himself, and somehow that made the place feel even more real -- like you were stepping into a slice of everyday life, not just a restaurant. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast, a place with heart, warmth, and soul -- this is it. This is where you go when you want to feel something, not just eat. We'll be back. Without a doubt. And Miss Tammy -- thank you. You made the day brighter than you know.

Ordered our food at that time. We checked in at the 40 minute mark and come to find out that our food still wasn't ready. Apparently the waiter put the order in on the wrong name - so that had to be fixed. And then when it was fixed they had a large party in front of ours that needed to be prepared first before ours. Needless to say we have now been sitting in this restaurant for over an hour with a cup of coffee and no food. If you want a quick breakfast spot, this is not the place. I would not recommend coming here with children because I cannot imagine them waiting patiently for an hour for breakfast. I have yet to receive our food even after writing this long review. But any place where you have to wait this long to get some eggs and a pancake I cannot recommend.

I ordered it via doordash, although i think anything ordered from there suffers from the delay you sometimes get. Not so here! Wow, this place is doing everything right-- the biscuits are each a MEAL. I had already set out the salt shaker and pepper grinder for the gravy, but not necessary! Seasoning in the gravy is spot on, the sausage is sweet and salty and perfect. Biscuits are fluffy, ha-yuge and crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. This just became our regular Sunday brunch. Sorry, Torchy's! Thank you!

Not my cup of tea. I eat a low carb diet daily so eating carbs is an extra special treat. My mom…read moreand I were out shopping and she found this option for brunch on Google. The thought of a large fluffy homemade biscuit with gravy or homemade jelly sounded so yummy. I was driving so didn't have time to review the menu, reviews or photos on Yelp that I usually do. It's really hard to disappoint at a southern breakfast spot. It is a very small very, quaint place which seemed perfect for just us. Like maybe 4 tables total small. Again, still perfect for just us two. Like having biscuits in your grandma's kitchen, literally. They have a ton of Louisiana items and foods for sale. Again, something I love!! They even had beeswax candles made locally. However, very few things, like one of the 4 items I looked at had a price. I should not have to go ask the price of each item. The menu was lacking and difficult to understand. After starring at it and not really seeing a perfect fit, just went to the counter and told her I wanted the biscuits and gravy, hash brown and bacon. There weren't meals on the menu. I love biscuits, I thought, as much as anyone else from Louisiana but that isn't breakfast. I need some eggs and meat for sure, grits and hash browns are expected on a southern breakfast menu. They have no eggs and no grits, just biscuits, hash brown, sausage and bacon. The biscuits were super tall, super dense and hard crust all the way around. So tall that the sausage biscuit is one that you can't get your mouth around and hard. My mom disassembled it to eat it and had to cut it with a knife. I had in my mind thick, fluffy, piping hot biscuits right out of the oven. These were dense, hard and reheated biscuits. I'm positive because some parts were hot hot and others cool to the touch. The hash brown looked like the one from McDonald's but maybe cooked in the oven instead and reheated. Definitely not worth the cost or calories. The bacon was delicious and crispy. The sausage gravy had an unusual taste. I couldn't tell if it was a different seasoning than I am use to or just cheap sausage that had an unusual flavor. I wish I would have taken more photos. I won't be back and highly recommend First Watch, Another Broken Egg or Strawns instead.

My husband ordered the liver and absolutely loved it, which says a lot because it's not easy to find it done right. This is the kind of diner that feels familiar and satisfying, with food that tastes homemade and consistently good. It has nostalgic decor with a combination of booths and tables. At the height of lunch hour it was very busy but we were promptly seated and served. We happen to be driving through Texarkana at lunchtime and remembered that we had friends from our town, which is an hour away, that rave about it and occasionally for an outing will drive to Texarkana just to eat lunch. I had fried chicken livers, cabbage and the twice baked potato while my husband had the chicken fried chicken. My potato was just average but the fried livers and cabbage were excellent. We both enjoyed our food very much and I appreciated the fact that the tea glasses were large enough that I didn't have to ask for refills. One review complained that there weren't very many chicken livers. I only had about seven livers myself, but they were so huge that I ended up making two meals out of it. We thought the food was very reasonably priced and some of the meals even come with half portions. My husband actually got the half order of the chicken fried chicken and it was still plenty of food.
