So, I know this place is good at any hour... but we tend to visit late at night after 9pm or later. There usually are not a lot of people and they sit you quick. Menu is simple. One side has breakfast items and the other side has the lunch and dinner options. I love sitting at the counter. You see everything from the making of the waffles to the sizzling of the eggs or the meat on the grill. I love their grits just how they come. I do add some pepper, but others will add salt and other things. You can get them as a bowl with a meat option too. Don't get me started on the hash browns... those you can get plain or go all out smothered and covered with you name it!!!! My wife loves the grilled chicken burger plate. Even with a small man, there's still plenty to choose from. This place will always have my love!!!! read more

It's a Waffle House. The food is always pretty good always hot. The staff in this location is extremely friendly. I love all of them. They always make you feel so welcome. Of course it's not always. Came here with the biggest appetite. The guy serving us completely ruined my entire meal. not only did he lean and hover over our drinks to begin with, he also hovered over our food. Add some more ICK to it ? His fingernails were dirty. I am not one to be disgusted by nails and such cause I work with my hands. But when bare, long, dirt filled nails are all over my plate I can't even imagine what i didn't see. I ate cause I forced myself to eat; and God forgive me for being salty like I am but i deserved to enjoy my meal and not worry about wether or not someone had their back side scratching nails all in my food. Probably one of my best Waffle House experiences I have had. It's also one of the only times I've gone in the morning for breakfast. It was near my boyfriend's job & we had an hour to spare so instead of going to the McDonald's across the street he suggested Waffle House. The parking lot had one way in & out, it looked packed but I assume because of the 15 people or so there for interviews/training or something of the sort but it did not interfere with our service one bit. It was the usual sit where you want. She greeted us right away for our drinks then we knew our order because the menu is only so big. We both got the 2 egg special with the hashbrowns & toast. He added on biscuits & gravy which he wasn't a fan of. As he calls me Ms. Extra, I got scrabbled eggs with cheese(they were very cheesey), added bacon & of course got my hashbrowns smothered & covered. The only thing I am always disappointed with is they don't ever smother & cover all the hashbrowns. Mine were extra crispy a little too hard so I gave the parts not funny smothered & covered to my boyfriend which he loved. Been meaning to put this up, have been here twice in past couple of months, both excellent experiences. First time was lunch with my friend. She got burger and I got the pork chops. Outstanding! We had Jessie as our server, she provided top service with a smile! Food was awesome! Came back alone about 2 weeks later at 5am and tried burger. Awesome, and the crew was great again! "This is the first time I've been here sober, or during daylight hours," said my Floridian friend who took me here because I wanted that Southern/Mid-West experience. Given her hesitance to come here for a normal non-post-clubbing meal, I had very low expectations for this 24-hour greasy spoon diner that has become a thing just like east coasters and (ari)Zonies always want to go to In-N-Out when they visit California. But the service was great here, and the food plentiful. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations when I asked what was the best way to get my hash browns. While "smothered and covered" (onions and cheese) is a thing, my waiter said he preferred "covered and chunked" (cheese plus ham). We sat right at the counter top so got to see the short order cook whip up everything quickly without a sous chef. We were told that this guy is very good at over easy eggs, and he was right. For $7.65 I got hash browns, toast, a big but flat/skinny waffle, two eggs, two (dry) sausage patties. Coffee was an extra $1.95 and freshly made for us. One cannot go wrong with breakfast-brunch on this place. Service is always friendly and efficient. The All Start Starter is big enough to be shared. Eggs, hash browns, toast, meats ( bacon, ham, sausage), waffle. One can order individual items mix and match. Hash browns plain or with several ingredients. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Let me tell ya, Waffle House employees are salt of the earth type of people. Super nice, always friendly. I don't often eat here but I had an emergency and by the time I could eat dinner this was one of the only places open. The poor young guy that was my server was brand new so he messed up my order. My youngest daughter and I get up early every Christmas morning and drive to this Waffle House. This is a tradition that reminds us of driving g to Georgia when my mom was alive. She and I would be awake in the front seat while everyone else snoozed. The workers are always friendly and many times exhausted. I can't remember the last time I went to a Waffle House, but on the night after Irma hit, tired of hurricane snacks and stir crazy, we set out to find hot food and air conditioning. The Apopka Waffle House had the shortest line wrapped around the building of any open restaurants in the surrounding three towns. The manager greeted us with salutations, instructions and jokes. I felt compelled to revise the review here, as since they have been open now for over a year, I wanted to see if things had gone downhill. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case. Service is incredibly underwhelming, and when we went in for breakfast at 6:00 on a Saturday, we were the only people there. Off duty employees were hanging out on the bar stools, and one of them seemed to be either highly medicated or drunk. She was shouting obscenities like no customers were there. Maybe it was an off shift time, but it was one lousy experience. With other breakfast options in Apopka nearby, this place just doesn't cut it at all. read more

Love the Waffle House, they don't have these in areas of CA I lived in. The waffles are really good, crispy, come out freshly made and hot. They are a great size, and the hash browns are super yummy too. You basically know what you are getting when you come in, what I wasn't expecting was how good their coffee was. I hardly ever order coffee at breakfast, sometimes I will if I know we're going to be out and I didn't drink any at home (and I know Starbucks isn't happening). It's always been the same basic thing. I was told the coffee was really good, so I ordered some. It was really good, it stands out in a sea of diner coffee for being well balanced and smooth. I was actually impressed. Well today was a pecan waffle kind of day so the best place to get them is at the Waffle House and I just happen to be passing one. The waffle was amazing as usual and the meal wasn't too bad either. Well almost everything.... I ordered a side of hash browns with cheese and well if you call slapping a slice of kraft American cheese on top and calling it smothered is not what I had expected. Yuk! And on top of that it was one slice and only covered as much of my hash browns as the slice would allow AND it wasn't even melted YUK again. To top it off the person working the floor swept the floors around our table and swept under our table while we were eating...OMG! That is the most awful feeling sitting there eating with floor dirt floating around. Question: Do they really think hollering out an order to the cook is going to get it done any faster than just handing them the ticket ?? read more

What do you expect, it's Waffle House. It's cheap, fast and cooked to order. I was surprised at how dingy this brand new restaurant is looking. At one point I counted 11 employees behind the counter but there was dirt and debris all over the floor. The walls looked worn. There were multiple tables that had not been cleared. Because there were no clean tables we sat at the high top bar in front of the grill. We were greeted and helped by a friendly girl. She, and others, checked on us throughout the meal. My companions' meals came before mine, and I waited another 5 minutes or so for mine. Apparently my egg white omelet was messing up their system. When my omelet did come it was the saddest omelet I'd ever seen. It looked like maybe 2 egg whites with a slice of processed cheese in the middle. I wish they had more options like maybe spinach, tomato or turkey. My grits were surprisingly good though. Sticky and coated with a butter that reminded me of movie theater popcorn butter. I'm sure that means it was super unhealthy but it tasted good! I tried a bite of the hash brown- they were OK but I'm glad I got the grits with mine. The bacon was also just OK. I also tried a bite of their waffle which had a very good flavor. Although not thick and crisp like a Belgian (this one was flatter) it had a nice sweet flavor. Prices are super cheap too. All in all as Brian M. said right along par with other Apopka breakfast joints (Chuck's Wagon, Robinson's). Cheap, fast and simple. It's a Waffle House. We all know what the food is, hearty and serviceable. What made this place stand out was the staff. We had a few people in front of us, and considered looking elsewhere for a shorter wait. Treasure was the hostess and good naturedly asked us what it would take for us to stay and wait. We said "coffee." Treasure and Bree went and got five cups of Good coffee and brought us cream and sugar. They had an excellent sense of humor and made our breakfast fun. It really was excellent customer service. Our waitress was also excellently attentive. They lose a star because there was no soap in the men's bathroom, that can never be good in a restaurant. I had never been to a Waffle House before and had heard some mixed reviews about them. However, I went to this location tonight with my fiance and we were both blown away. From the second we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles, and exceptional customer service. We ordered several different items off of the menu from peanut butter and choc chip waffes (which were so good) to hashbrowns, bacon, a biscuit, and even a salad. Yes, we were starving. Everything we ate exceeded out expectations. The manager even came over to our table, introduced himself, and made small talk with us. I wish other restaurants would take some tips on service from this location. Great service, great food, and a clean environment.
