I realize a refinement or two is likely, however it took at least 5 or 6 refinements, several of which had the same issue: My bite was consistently messed up the SAME WAY. My front teeth would connect and my molars would not, so chewing was extremely challenging. I don't know why it was always the same issue, but after several refinements then two of my front teeth were connecting uncomfortably. I still feel it wasn't resolved entirely but by this point it was clear they weren't going to change it with all the pushback I got when I brought it up. So now I still have a messed up bite. I was seeing Dr. Mc Donald until she retired, but got switched to Dr Milakis, who doesn't listen to patient concerns. I brought up the ongoing issue on the last few appts and he told me they "lined up correctly and there wasnt anything more he would change." Yet here I am stuck with an uncomfortable bite but he didn't care because it looked correct. Now it's something I have to live with. And I was told I still owed $1000 on treatment in Sept 2025 as I was ordering my retainers, and told they wouldn't order them without payment. So it's taken nearly two and a half YEARS and cost far more than estimated. I called insurance and they never even got a pre-authorization. I think a lot of this mess could have been avoided if they had bothered to do so and gotten an actual number from Delta, who only covered $1000. Trying to untangle the billing to understand their bookkeeping is a nightmare. One estimate has insurance estimated at $1500, another at $2000, neither of which were accurate. In the end, I am stuck with $1000 more than planned, and could have been avoided by getting a preauthorization and getting an accurate number from the beginning. Bottom line, avoid this place. You'll spend more time and money than they estimate and still be unhappy with the results.

Why would someone get mad, if they are being honest and truthful? I was told I'd have to reschedule for a cleaning. At no point, was I told my first visit was just a consultation. I've never been treated so bad at a clinic before by a dentist. This dental group had gotten a lot of high reviews on Google and Yelp because of a raffle he's offering for reviews! I was duped. Went to another dentist which said I may possibly have 2 small cavities but he couldn't be sure until he removed my sealants/fillings.

I had a cracked tooth that was infected so Dr. Nguyen told me since it was cracked I could get a root canal and a crown but he estimated that it would last maybe up to 5 yrs, so I said just extract the tooth, but I needed a bone graft cuz I didn't have any teeth behind that tooth with was #5. He numb the area very well. It's been a few hours since I left there and right now I'm in a pain, took my meds for pain. I do have stitches and I go back in two weeks get them removed and check the site area. I finally found a dentist whom is very passionate about his work he gives to his patients! I went to another dentist on Monday 04/13/26 that doctor said I need a root canal and a crown and that the tooth was infected, but never told me if it would last up to 5 years. That dentist let me walked out with another appointment for next week and the reviews on that dentist was under another doctor which I found out that he wasn't there, he was at the VA and they had another DOCTOR IN HIS PLACE. But Dr. Zach does a great job of explaining things to the patient before (and during) the procedure, which alleviates a lot of stress. I think that Dr. Zach and his team also have a good awareness of the patients' perspective, and address the small discomforts well. During that time I asked the girl on the phone 3 different times to make sure I was only being scheduled for a cleaning and she repeatedly said yes. I was supposed to go in for my cleaning today at 12:30 and they called me at 10:40 to see if I could come in early since they go to lunch at 1:00. I questioned how long a cleaning takes and she said I was booked for X-rays and a comprehensive dental check and I could not come in just for a cleaning. They don't even care that I took time off and now don't have an appointment. I would never book with Western Dental again. They don't care about the patients just the money they can bill insurance for. What a scam.
