This is one of the most wonderful dental offices we've ever been to! Everything is super clean, the staff are very sweet and knowledgeable, and the doctor that assisted us was freakin' amazing. Our experience was definitely worth the full 5 stars, and more if I could give it. They offer IV sedation and have a panoramic xray machine. My son (adult) was treated like a rockstar and they gave us a full pint of ice cream for when we got home. We were given 2 numbers to contact someone after hours if we had any trouble. When my teen needed his wisdom teeth removed, a colleague recommended Entrust. Since the office is not that close to us, I booked my son's consultation to be immediately followed by surgery with Dr. Tyler Nelson whom I specifically chose after reviewing his bio and credentials. We arrived to discover, however, that a scheduling error had placed my son with a different surgeon instead. While the other surgeon seemed fine, I had my mind set on Dr. Nelson and asked the front desk to check with him about our options. To my pleasant surprise, Dr. Nelson agreed to shift his schedule around to accommodate us rather than make us return on a different day! He took ownership of the booking mistake and apologized for the extra wait time in trying to address the situation, discounting my out-of-pocket bill by 10% as a customer service gesture. My son's surgery went very smoothly and I appreciated Dr. Nelson's post-op aftercare approach of a complimentary pint of ice cream and no narcotics for pain relief unless absolutely necessary, as well as his call that evening to see how the patient was doing. Awesome experience, I typically really don't like to go to the dentist since I have had bad experiences before, but Dr Nelson' and his team were super nice, calming, gentle and professional. I had to get an older tooth out that had a broken root, and it was done within half hour with no pain, even the injections did not hurt (unlike injections that I had at previous places) Dr Nelson also followed up later that day to see how I was doing. I'm in the dental field so I'm very skeptical about bringing my little brother anywhere that isn't somewhere I already haven't worked or did my research. I had to go see Dr. Nelson to have two wisdom teeth removed and two other teeth extracted. I never went through any type of surgery before and was so nervous making this appointment. I will start out with the appointment making. I had so many questions and concerns and Bernice was so kind and patient with me. She made the process so much easier and alleviated a lot of my anxiety. During the consultation Dr. Nelson was so kind and transparent with all of his advice and all options for the surgery. I went in not really knowing what to expect and his high level explanation was perfectly done. You can tell in his demeanor and how well spoken he is that he truly cares. When they came in for sedation I honestly don't even know when I knocked out but when I woke up everyone was there and so kind to ask how I was feeling. You truly get the feeling of the genuine care they have for you. The appointment was made later in the day and I never felt rushed out by anyone. Dr. Nelson checked in with me after the procedure as well to see how I was feeling and if I had any questions. Long story short: If you need your wisdom teeth removed, this is the place. Don't look any further lol. To elaborate- Process: So. Easy. And quick! There wasn't any need for back and forth consultations and appointments. I booked an appointment over the phone and my first appointment was my consultation and surgery all in one day. Ah-may-zing. Lol. Everything was straight forward. That's coming from a first gen 23 yr old who's just starting to navigate on their own. They were able to help with really everything I needed to know. Never be afraid to ask! The team: Kind and knowledgeable. I've spoken to Ashley over the phone a couple times (if you're reading this, thanks for always answering my questions!! Hahaha) and was always so nice. She also checked me into my appointment. Also, I wasn't able to catch her name, but the nice person assisting me while in the room made me feel comfortable! I had the best experience today with the entire staff at Nelson Oral Surgery. I needed two impacted wisdom teeth pulled and I was honestly dreading this appointment since I'm too afraid(and controlling) to use anything other than Novocain. The procedure itself took maybe 15 minutes because my lower tooth had a root pressed against my nerve and Dr. Nelson was beyond careful and patient. My upper tooth was out in less than 3 minutes and I had no idea he was done. The woman(I forgot her name:( but she was amazing!) assisting him even held my hand and was so sweet the entire time. I was very grateful since I was shaking like a leaf at first. They chatted the whole time and made me very comfortable even though I couldn't join in hahah. Morgan gave me a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream afterwards and I honestly thought that was the most thoughtful and adorable adult prize ever:) Dr. Nelson personally called to check on me tonight which I've never experienced regardless of the medical situation. I have been meaning to leave a review for this place. I am a big cry baby when it comes to anything dental and needles. I called the day before my appointment because I was so scared. The person who took my call I believe it was Ashley? Answered all my questions and made me feel better about the surgery of taking my wisdom teeth out. I come into the office and all the girls greeted me and were so friendly! I was so sick to my stomach because I was so nervous and they were so nice. I went back and they allowed my boyfriend to come back with me before the dentist came in. Ashley the girl who took my call the day before came back to introduce herself and to let me know everything was going to be okay.
