The day of the move, around 9am, I texted with them and again confirmed that they were coming. Around 9:30am he said they'd be running about 20 minutes late (which happens, no biggie). From there, I never heard another word from this company. I was left sitting at my storage facility, looking like a fool, with absolutely no one to help me move into my house for an hour and half before I gave up. I called them 24 times with no call back and I received no text back. They clearly decided today wasn't a fun day to move and left me HIGH AND DRY!!! They weren't even considerate enough to even make up a lie, like, "hey, we broke down, etc." This is the behavior of a petulant child, not a professional....or even a grown man. This ended up costing me about $1k over what I had budgeted for the move. I had zero way of getting my fridge, washer/dryer, and essentials moved. Don't even consider reaching out to this company. The move took two full days to complete, despite the reverse move previously being completed in about three hours by just one person and a crackhead. The timeline felt incredibly inefficient and resulted in significantly higher costs than expected. To make matters worse, several items were missing after the move. There was little accountability or urgency shown in resolving these issues, which only added to the frustration. One of the most concerning aspects of the experience was that movers were taking videos inside the home without permission. Even more troubling, the behavior came across as inappropriate and unsettling toward a 15-year-old family member. This created an uncomfortable environment during what should have been a professional service visit. The pricing was also inconsistent and seemed to fluctuate throughout the process. The final cost did not align with expectations set beforehand, making it difficult to trust the estimates that were provided. Moving is already stressful enough. Professionalism, transparency, and respect for customers' homes and families should be the minimum standard. Unfortunately, my experience with Chubby Fit Movers fell well short of that expectation.
