Sold us a floor model which started to split apart after a few months. Never explained we did not have a warranty on the front end but was very clear about it after.......terrible way to treat local seniors. After telling us she has never seen something like this, 2 weeks later she has her employee call us to inform us that the claim was denied from the manufacture. Had to cough up another $1000 for a similar replacement. I understand how all this works from 40 plus years in a retail environment. She went on to explain she is a (for profit business) ... isn't every business???? We spent $6500 first time around,, then a $1000.00 more. Just has to make profit both times?????? If this has never happened before then why not make an exception and give up a little profit on the claim and treat locals understandably?? I begged to agree with $900.00. NOPE no way. $100.00 bucks and I wouldn't be writing this........................ NEVER, not once did anyone apologize for our inconvenience, even after I told them that no one apologized .....she just stared at me. Will never recommend. read more

I went into the mattress center and I was greeted by Carol. She is very knowledgeable-not only answered all of our questions but knew the kind of bed that would meet all of our needs. While speaking with her I learned we have something in common. We both support a ministry that helps people in Ukraine, Romania, Moldova and Guatemala. She is so nice! I feel like I've made a new friend. My husband and I are going back this week to purchase a second, we love the one we got! If you need a new mattress you won't be disappointed. I woke up this morning and decided to buy a new mattress if I could have it delivered today. After visiting several mattress stores in the area, I decided to stop at Waco Mattress Center. Walked in the door and was met by Bianca who was friendly and courteous. I told her what type of mattress I was looking for and I need it delivered today. She didn't hesitate in showing us the mattresses that were available within my specifications and price range. The mattresses were of good quality for the right price and they could deliver this afternoon. A while ago, my wife went to Waco Mattress Center and spoke directly with Carol Weaver. My wife was looking for 2 inexpensive mattresses for nuns who were moving to Waco. Not only did Weaver not offer a mattress or 2, but she did not even offer a decreased price. A mattress at cost would not have heard the company. I hope Weaver doesn't say she helps the community because, as far as I can see, she doesn't. She wants the community to support her, but she doesn't seem to want to support our community. read more

Waco Mattress Center does such amazing work from start to finish! I walked in and was taken care of by Carol and she was so knowledgeable and friendly on what my preferences/needs were for a good nights rest. What I also liked was that the whole process didn't take all day. She was efficient with showing me choices that were catered to what I described, not what she was trying to unload on me. While checking out at the front I got to meet her son Alec and store mgr Bianca who were also very helpful with my pillow and bamboo sheet needs. They set up a desired time to deliver my bed and were friendly and punctual. Anthony was very helpful setting everything up for me and getting rid of my other mattress. Been having trouble sleeping and saw a commercial for this business. Got in my car and went right over thinking I could get some assistance. When I walked in, the woman from the commercial and two others were clustered at the front door talking. No one greeted me. I proceeded to walk through and look at mattresses. Others came in the store after me as I saw them pull in and park when I walked in. Heard over my shoulder, that group being greeted as they walked in. A bit later, the woman from the commercial walked past me and said she was trying to find out the answer to a question but would get to me as soon as possible. Continued looking. Finally, got back around to the front door area, and the woman from the commercial was speaking with another person who had walked in. I just walked out. You do want to think ethnicity is an issue in situations like this, but it crosses your mind when you see no reason why people clearly don't seem concerned to service you. We bought a mattress from these guys back in July. It was delivered 1 week late, which is not really my gripe. When they delivered it there were strings coming out all over the place. I called them to let them know in case this was a sign of worse things to come. They told me it was "normal". About 1.5 months after we got the mattress, I noticed that it was coming apart at the seams. The mattress is supposed to have a 10 year warranty, and I figured it had only been 1.5 months so the store would be cognizant that they sold a clearly faulty mattress. They scheduled an inspector to come out, who came ~ 1 month after I called. He deemed the mattress defective and left. I have never heard from anyone again. I have called Mattress Sleep Centers 4 times and have been told someone will call me back each time. No one has ever called me back. We bought here because it was a locally owned business and the salesperson seemed to know what she was talking about. However, we need to buy another queen mattress and I can tell you at this point I wouldn't even set foot in this place. read more

I really hate writing bad reviews, it would be nice if everyone offered excellent customer service. I went to Waco Mattress Center on the Friday before Labor Day looking for a new pillow. None of the pillows that I saw were priced, no signs or anything. It's really hard to pick out a new pillow without sleeping on it first for a night or two. The salesperson acknowledged that a pillow might feel great at the store and when you get it home on your bed, it feels completely different (she said that when i was trying to pick one out). Well the pillow I picked out was a Zoned Gel Dough Memory Foam. The regular price was $159.99 for this queen sized pillow, but they were having a Labor Day sale, so it was 50% off. YIKES......$80 for a Queen sized pillow? $80 for any sized pillow is outrageous to me. Anyway, I was excited, I thought I have a $160 pillow, I am going to sleep so good now. WRONG!!!!!! The first night was horrible, I felt like I got no sleep and got up the next morning with a sore neck and shoulders. My girlfriend suggested that I try it out for another night, thinking maybe it takes a few nights to "loosen up". Well that night, I woke up about 1 a.m. and took that pillow off the bed and grabbed another, my neck was SO sore. So the next night, my girlfriend said, I think I'm gonna try your new pillow and see if it works for me. She tried it for one night and didn't get hardly any sleep either and got up with bad neck and shoulder pain. I took the pillow back on Labor Day and the same salesperson said they can't take it back if I've slept on it. And I'm not going to lie and say I didn't sleep on it, that's not right. She said we would just have to throw it away, we couldn't re-sell it. Well I kinda understand that part, but there was a pillow case on the pillow. So I totally wasted $86.60 with tax. This was my second purchase here, was happy with my first purchase, so I went straight to them when I needed a pillow, never shopped elsewhere first. I will say, I was stupid to pay $80 for a pillow anyway, but how much is a good night's sleep worth anyway? Well they lost my business for sure and I will make sure I tell everyone about my experience at Waco Mattress center. I purchased here both times because it is a locally owned company and I also own a business as well, and I like to help out local companies, the service is usually much better than big box stores. NOT THIS TIME! Just skip this store. read more

Great experience! We stopped in to buy a mattress and bed frame for our college son who was moving into an unfurnished apartment and needed a bed. We're from out of state and we were hoping we could buy a mattress and get it set up before we left town. I called the week before to ask if they keep many mattresses in stock and they told me yes. We walked in on a Friday morning, told the lady what size we'd like (didn't want to spend a fortune, but want something that will last 4-5 years). She showed us two mattresses and said the prices go up from there. Our son tried both out and picked the one he liked best, we paid, and a gentleman brought it out to our rental truck. This place is wonderful! My wife and I shopped around about 5 mattress stores in Waco. We stopped in Waco Mattress Center, which I assume is the same as this place given the address. The staff was helpful and guided us to the mattress types we were looking for. Once we narrowed it down, the staff backed off and let us test the beds in peace without hovering over us. As we often do, we got their price and went home to see if we could find it for less on the internet. We couldn't find anything lower than what Waco Mattress Center offered. We came back 2 more times to really make sure we wanted that particular bed. Each time, we told the staff we knew what we were looking for and they left us alone. When we finally decided to pull the trigger, the saleswoman threw in a mattress cover, free delivery, and BOGO memory foam pillows. I was all set to haggle but she completely beat me to the punch. We scheduled to have the mattress delivered the next day. they told us they would deliver it between 11 and 1. At 10:30 they called and told us that they were about to head out for delivery. At 11, they called to apologize for being delayed and told us they were on their way. By 11:20 they were in our driveway. The drivers asked if they could haul off our old mattress (2 year old memory foam that had split) and I explained that we were still waiting on the refund. They advised us to keep the tags on as the original company may need them on the bed to provide the refund (which is the same thing as what the saleswoman suggested) and told us we should hold on to the plastic that came with the new mattress in case we needed to ship the old mattress back. All in all: competitive price, great service, and we supported a local independent business. I couldn't feel happier. read more

Such a great experience at Waco Mattress Center! We were shopping for a full size mattress set for our son, and they had a great selection in all price ranges of quality mattresses. We had shopped around to several chain mattress centers in Waco as well as a local chain based out of a storage building. None of the places could match, or even come close to the quality, price AND same-day delivery that Waco Mattress Center offered. Not only that, Anthony and Devon who delivered our mattress (within 3 hours of when we purchased it) were so incredibly kind and helpful. They gave us tips about turning the mattress and reminders about the warranty while they were there...and they hauled off our old mattresses. Needed a new bed for my 14-year-old. After "test-driving several mattresses at other stores, she was convinced she found her mattress at the competition, which was appx $871, after tax. I met Billy & he guided us to the clearance center & introduced us to a queen Simmons set for only $500. She positively melted into this bed & said this was the one! I am a return customer from 12/2012 when I bought two twin sets for my boys. I gave 4 stars because it took a while to be acknowledged upon walking inside the store & not the warmest fuzzy when we were. I called for delivery status at 3pm and they admitted they forgot. I respect that, they owned their oversight rather than issue excuses. ETA was at 4pm, arrival closer to 420. Delivery men were VERY kind & professional. They hauled off not only my daughters old mattress, but every mattress I had in my garage awaiting proper disposal. I will definitely return & recommend them. read more

I had some questions and concerns and I failed to get my calls returned. Dianne was condescending and rude and I was very disappointed in her customer service, including failure to return calls regarding my information. I have to say it was totally worth my drive from Cedar Park to go to Waco Mattress Center to shop for a new mattress. I have been looking for a mattress for over 8 months and had narrowed down my choice to 3 different mfg's. One of the bed's that I really wanted to try was only available at 2 locations in So. Texas with the nearest being Waco Mattress Ctr. When I got there to try it, I found out they no longer carried that company's beds and why they no longer did. I then received some excellent advice regarding my remaining choices, and was shown an alternative to the missing 3rd choice. I absolutely fell in love with this 3rd choice (Pure Bliss Latex) Mattress. For a person like me with multiple health issues this option seemed to make since. I was offered a wonderful deal for free delivery, and a Memorial Day special pricing discount. The mattress was delivered two days later by two very helpful and professional men. They set everything up, cleaned up the area then hauled away the old mattress for no additional charge. I have now had this new mattress for 5 nights and it has been pure joy for me. I have not had a decent night sleep in years, now I have slept through the night 5 nights in a row! This is amazing!
