Like other nearby smaller cities close to louisville Mount Washington has a light up event in late November or early December that kicks off with a small event and turns into the lighting up of the downtown portion of the city. Then after the first night the lights remain lit up every bight for people to visit and enjoy the remainder of the holiday season. Maybe hear lights run down majority of north bards town road with the city hall and library areas really going all out with lighting up trees, patio area and gazebos. Very pretty site and I love driving through the decor that spans above your head and across the road as you drive through n bardstown road. Overall very pretty and easy to view free holiday event. I enjoy riding through and bringing my family here on our annual holiday lights tour of Lousiville and it's surrounding cities.

Parking is best on Old Main Street or in the lot next to the Dollar Tree on Shelbyville Rd. Feel free to go hungry. A church group cooks out and offers food at a reasonable price, especially when feeding families. Food trucks and booths are also available and some have a fair feeling to them (corn dogs, funnel cake). The festival begins Friday evening and runs all day Saturday. Several bands play during the schedule. It ends Saturday night with fireworks and in between is a parade, inflatables and a petting zoo. Mark your calendar for next year in September!

There are tons of options! Each isle is labeled like a super market with what types of fireworks can be found. The staff was very nice in helping us with options that apply to our coupon and also fits our needs with our kids. We had to sign a waiver to enter, which is understandable.
