Burger and fries from the bar
Karen C.

I stayed here recently for work and had a couple of meals in the restaurant/bar. The hotel is very nice. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. They were redoing the restaurants while I was there so just the bar was open. Overall my staff was great but I had a couple of issues. The fan in the toilet room runs all the time. You cannot turn it off. I could hear it with all of the bathroom doors closed and wearing ear plugs. A bit annoying. Also, they don't have a store so you cannot buy drinks and snacks throughout the day. The coffee station did have some stuff but they were only opened in the am. I had a great burger and fries at the bar one evening. The meat was tasty and nicely cooked. Yummy fries. Also, had a breakfast one morning. I had the fruit plate and a side of bacon. You got a ton of all kinds of different fruit. Crisp, yummy bacon. Overall a great stay. If only we could turn off that dam toilet fan.

I've stayed here three different times, once in a queen, twice in suites, but of different types. Once you start staying in the suites, I'm not sure there's much difference in the experience. A suite is a suite and a soaker tub is a soaker tub. Hospitality is always big here. Customer service is top notch. Valet is also awesome and ON IT! Multiple hang out areas for various demographics--the loud bar, the refined restaurant, the rooftop bar that can get a "little" crazy, but is overall lowkey. It's not cheap; has a destination fee, and a 325 mL bottle of champagne from the bar is over 100 bucks. But a great Nashville hotel in one of the coolest neighborhoods, and close to the action.

One of my favorite hotel experiences! Check in was easy and I loved my hotel room! The beds are super comfortable and make you feel like home away from home. The shower is sexy and adjustable for more private use. The pool is super fun with a cool DJ and complimentary sunscreen! This place has everything you need. Great views and great staff!

If you're going to Nashville, this is the hotel you want to stay at! It's modern, luxurious, and filled with a friendly staff and places to eat. They even have a fitness area and multiple bars and a rooftop. The staff here really goes above and beyond to make sure you're well taken care of and the food is delicious anywhere you eat here. I highly recommend staying at the W in Nashville.

Stayed at the W Nashville in The Gulch during CMA Fest and had a fantastic experience! The location is perfect -- close to Broadway, restaurants, and shopping, but still feels upscale and relaxed. Our corner suite upgrade featured fantastic views, electric blackout shades, two rooms, a stocked minibar, and a welcome gift of champagne and chocolates. The room included a daily breakfast at The Restaurant, a huge plus. Loved the rain shower, cozy robes, and comfy bed. Lots of free bottled water made it easy to stay hydrated. Highly recommend this hotel for couples, VIP travelers, and music festival weekends!

Soft beds, spacious rooms and plenty of upscale amenities in the room and in the hotel. I heard two years ago this spot was a parking lot. First floor has a coffee shop, bar, a hotel shop and a Sax Fifth Avenue store. Because I'm here for events outside the hotel I didn't get to experience any of the dining establishments. However when I checked in I was given a refillable water bottle and informed of filling stations for chilled or sparkling water throughout the hotel. This is an amazing option and I'm so glad to share about it in my review. Stay green W and I will return and recommend.

Remember you get $27 a day. Use it or lose it. Not for the mini fridge food though.

Great hotel. Great location. It's in the gulch which is a cute, bougie, chic place to be. Lots of nice shops. Close to everything.

Public parking across the street, valet parking available! We visited the living room bar on Friday night for the Live Music with Clifford Ray. No reservation needed. It was a cool and chic bar. Live music was a plus. The service was very good and we were checked in often. It was a nice bar to hangout. We ordered drinks and food. all drinks were good and food were so-so. Heineken, Aperol spritz and Living On a Pear: Eggplant Dip with Yogurt, Mint and Spiced Crackers: per normal Pimento Cheese with Chow Chow and Crackers: kind of cold. Curry Cashews: mild sweet

Outstanding Truffle Burger & Fries !

We started the evening at a corporate event at Proof / Rooftop Bar. A lovely venue with fantastic views of the city, even though we had to stay inside due to a storm. The appetizers were delightful & the house wine was good. After the event we were still hungry. We went down to the lobby & noticed the menu for the lobby restaurant called "The Restaurant". While trying to decide what to do, Amber (the manager), convinced us to give it a go. Great decision! BEST burger I've had since moving down south from CT. We sat at the bar & Nathan (the bartender) took excellent care of us ! We will be back !

This is a nice Marriot property. Everyone was polite and it was well apportioned. The pros, great city view from the eighth floor. The cons. I needed instructions to operate the shower which weren't there. Really a card would go along way. Then I don't think there was a plug for the blow dryer in the bathroom, but they had great hairdryers. Babyliss for you connoisseurs. With a concentrator even. But I had to blow dry my hair outside the bathroom?

I stopped in for their Wednesday night cinema series. It's seasonal, and is happening all through the month of October. We found inexpensive street parking a block away. And enjoyed a nice cocktail and truffle fries while watching the movie. The Spanish steps, below the pool is such a fun space. Highly recommend!

Local here! Attended the Juneteenth pool party at the wet deck this year. All you can eat cookout for $25. Good drinks served poolside. All around great experience. I got tickets at a discount through do 615 and found street parking at $2.25 a hour, 3 hour max. Nice to take advantage of the new hotels taking over Nashville, if you can't beat them, join them I guess lol I wouldn't recommend paying a $50 ticket price for the pool access on top of food/drinks here unless you're looking for an elevated pool day experience on vacation. Like most things involving Nashville tourism, it's not set up to be "local" friendly, this is 100% a tourist experience situation. And that's exactly what most people want, so enjoy! Get the cheeseburger.

The happy hour allowed you 3 free drinks (seems excessive but wow) and they had nachos, and a dinner like option. I had a glass of wine but didn't eat any food. It looked popular. Our room was spacious and near the top floor so lots of nice views. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but it looked nice. Parking was super easy ($45/day) and nice to be able to get in and out of multiple times a day. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice and hot. Would have preferred a little less fluff in my pillow and some lotion in the bathroom. Everything was clean. Staff was friendly. We really had a great experience. Would definitely stay here again.

We are in town from Birmingham and while I understand you must have your key for re-entry a little compassion goes a long way. Our family got our room and to be treated like scum is entirely unacceptable. The Caucasian gentleman you have working night shift (2 am) has the worst attitude and the African-American lady is no better, throwing her hands up saying I don't know what to tell you. He told us to go back out to the 6th and 7th level out of the lobby door and to find our truck and hotel keys and come back. He obviously has a lack of comprehension skills as we told him we couldn't not find our truck off of Broadway . Our cousin had two rooms in this hotel and got ours for us as a gift and he acted like we were asking for a kidney when we asked him to call their room. He stated they have multiple rooms (only two I might add) and he didn't know which one to call. I said ours is on the 9th floor. Please call the 16th floor number. Our phones had died and we were all suffering from heat exhaustion. We had blisters on our feet and his snobby and cranky attitude was anything but what I consider the customer service your hotel should be providing. I said what's with the attitude? To which he stormed off afterwards and told the lady to handle it. We had your wonderful breakfast in the morning and had nothing but sweet interactions with housekeeping, the ladies working on the 8th floor and day staff. I was thankful for that, and changed my reviews for that reason. Would have loved to give your hotel 5 stars but unfortunately two bad apples ruined that.

For a hotel charging around $300 per night, the condition of the room was extremely disappointing. The bedding was worn out and overdue for replacement. The duvet was so old and thin that it was practically see-through, with the feathers inside completely flattened and no longer providing any comfort or warmth. The bed sheets were dingy, stained, and looked unclean. The air-conditioning vent blew directly onto the bed, making the room uncomfortably cold throughout the night. Combined with the paper-thin duvet, I spent the night freezing. The bathroom was equally disappointing. The walls were dirty, stained, and clearly in need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. Overall, the room felt neglected and poorly maintained. Given the nightly rate, I expected a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained room. Instead, I was met with worn bedding, cleanliness issues, and an uncomfortable night's sleep. The location is great, but the condition of the hotel does not justify the price.

But the skin is much healthier than the bones. For example, some of the plumbing fixtures in room 318 were not working properly. Further, the food at their fine dining restaurant, Drusie & Darr, was excellent, but their servers had more of a "check-the-box" attitude than a well-trained wait staff. But the main reason for this one-star review is the lack of responsiveness from management. We checked out early on a Friday morning, around 7:00am. Just thirty minutes into our drive home I realized that I had left a small prosthetic denture in a glass on the counter in our room. I called the hotel and spoke with the young woman who checked us out. She assured me that she would notify housekeeping and have it sent to my home. I asked her if she was sure because the denture was expensive and I could come back to the hotel to retrieve it. She again assured me with confidence that it would be fine. The day after returning home, I called the hotel to ensure my tooth was on its way to me. The person I spoke with could not help me, so I asked to speak with the general manager and was told he was not on the property. The person I spoke with promised to look into the situation and return my call. To make a long story short, I have called the hotel six more times and left a message for the general manager to call me to no avail. Today I was told that a Mr. Tolliver was in a meeting and not available, but that he would definitely call me back today. Nothing. Tomorrow, I visit my dentist to have a new prosthetic denture made. The hotel is beautiful, the service is awful, the staff is poorly trained, and clearly the management of the hotel is negligent. We had a much more enjoyable stay at The Harpeth Hotel in Franklin.

We were so excited to stay at this beautiful location in downtown Nashville. The first frustration was weeks before our stay. I received an email about upcoming specials and noticed this location was listed for $100 less a night than I was scheduled to pay. I called the hotel and asked if my rates could be adjusted. I was told me no, that my rates could not be adjusted and that I could cancel my stay, book through the website and lose my room and the chance of staying there. She was not helpful, she was not polite. She said it was a glitch in the system on the website and the hotel was already full and we would be moved elsewhere. I told her I understood and did not want to change my reservation. It got worse when arriving Thursday, June 4th (the first day of CMA Fest), the front desk only had 2 people working. It would have been appreciated to have been well staffed in order to meet the needs of a fully booked weekend. After checking in, we had to wait for the elevator. This hotel has 3 elevators, but only 1 was working. There were stops at every floor and it took a long time for an elevator to even pick us up. Several guests were grouchy and complaining, adding to the unpleasantness. As the days progressed so did the wait for the elevator. We waited 20 minutes for the elevator to pick us up because with so many guests several times it was too full for us to board. We had to take FIVE flights of stairs on several occasions so as not to be late to events and activities. The stairway does not feel safe when you get to the bottom and is very deserted. Inside our room, the night stand plug could not hold my regular sized phone charger plug and kept slipping out so my phone wouldn't charge. I had to resort to moving the night stand against the window to use the plug behind it in the wall. The TV is not centered with the bed, which is very minor, but strange. There was a long bloodish looking stain on one of the chairs. The rug was coming up from under the door. There was a crack in the shower. There was cracks in the floor of the bathroom and the sink leaked. This was not the type of quality accommodations I expect from Hilton and was horribly overpriced for my stay. I paid over $3,000 for a 4 day stay-way to much! It was NOT worth it! Such a disappointing way to spend our long awaited vacation and time in Nashville. We reached out via the Hilton website and then through email to several employees and NEVER heard back from ANYONE at Hilton about my awful stay. I am extremely disappointed with not only my stay there, but the lack of customer service.
