Congrats on your opening! Part of the Marriott family...? Use this better website rather than the one on Yelp. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/sydwh-w-sydney/overview/ Quality/Quantity - High end new hotel; I am missing most of my pictures... Sorry. Dessert bar tasting, see picture. Atmosphere - Brand new beautiful hotel. So nice when everything is new. Again sorry that I am missing most/all of my pictures. Free Marriott wifi, I did not use it. Limited valet parking. $90AUD a day. Service - Everyone was friendly and because this is a new hotel, they had so many employees. Because they were new, there were many kinks. Many areas were not open yet. Cut and pasted from their website: Languages spoken by staff: English, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, and French. Price - Expensive, but that is the cost for luxury. Owner Comment - Congrats to Marriott's success since 1957 and with your 586+ locations. 1927 Marriott International was founded, and they currently have 8785+ locations.

Absolutely stunning views of Darling Harbour from the W. The hotel was seemingly built around the highway, so the ground floor is small and simply leads to stairs/elevators/escalators up to level 1, where there is a bar facing the harbour, the check-in counters, escalators up to conference rooms, and elevators around the corner up to guest rooms. There were plenty of bellhops ready to help with luggage, but you can also opt to handle them on your own. Check-in was relatively smooth and the staff members were friendly and happy to answer questions. There was a small flavored water container near the check-in counters, but it was more often empty than filled, which either points to the hotel being short-staffed or lack of attention to refill it. The hallways to the guest rooms and elevator area were extremely dark, making it very hard to see where a wall begins or ends, not entirely sure the intention there, but it definitely detracted from a comfortable stay walking around the hotel. The hotel room itself was not large, but a good size. We had a habour-facing room, which had a circular tub and shower (though it was not divided), and again a very dark mirror in front of the sink (even with the lights on it was dark). Our room had two doubles -- a double is really too tiny for two adults, but it is feasible when push comes to shove -- a small table with two swiveling chairs, a giant oversized bar cart also housing the mini fridge of expensive snacks, and a mounted TV. The room did have gorgeous views of the harbour, you really cannot beat that view. Housekeeping was extremely slow, we had to request service in the late afternoon, and the room still wasn't cleaned/restocked properly upon our return. The outdoor rooftop pool facing the harbour is on level 29 and it closes after 6pm, opening just the bar area on 29/30 to the public, so go during the day to enjoy the pool facilities. There is a 24 hour indoor pool on 22, though this pool faces the city-side instead of the habour. Overall, the W is a very nice hotel with an excellent location and views. The rooms and beds are a tad small, overall lighting throughout the hotel is a miss, and housekeeping operations need some work. But if you can swing the price, it is worth a stay for the gorgeous views.

As far as Liquor Shops combined with Deli's in Potts Point it is fairly impossible to compete with…read morethe impressive Bottega Del Vino, so Potts Point Liquor and Deli must have a tough job as both on Macleay Street, they are within a few minutes walk from each other. Potts Point Liquor and Deli's strength is their price range is much broader than Bottega Del Vino's offering more mid range product as well as the higher end lines. So it is handy for those of us who need to stay conscious of our credit card limits, yet still want a nice bottle of wine. Potts Point Liquor and Deli have impressively offered a range of organic wines and they also run their own cellar club. Regarding the deli side of the business, the main attraction is the Bangalow Cheese, which is sourced from the Byron Bay area. This is delicious award winning cheese and they have an array on offer.

I lived around the corner at the time and they couldn't believe you could have such a lovely wine store, deli and cake shop all rolled into one just five minutes from your couch and waiting glass. While my parents' enthusiasm might have been a little over the top, they were absolutely right about this shop's awesomeness. They've got a great range of handpicked boutique wines (including organic drops), a full deli section with imported cheeses, olives and dips, and am amazing cake section with individual portions of all kinds of amazing treats.

This is a very good, but not great property…read more Location - ideal. Steps from Central Quay, tons of restaurants around, right in the middle of the CBD. Rooms - so/so. Smaller than expected and a bit dated. Bathroom was very cramped with little storage space. Comfy bed and very clean though. Service - honestly, outstanding. Friendly & helpful from every person we encountered. Pretty good!

VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY- NOT THE FOUR SEASON STANDARD…read more This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've experienced, especially for a brand like Four Seasons that is supposed to represent luxury and impeccable service. We were suspicious upon first arrival when reception appeared overwhelmed and not able or willing to accommodate our requests. I must give a shout out to Lorenzo who did meet our expectations when we were able to enlist his assistance. The hotel felt understaffed, which affected every aspect of the stay. The accommodations were underwhelming, with rooms that were small , particularly for room class designations ,and far below expectations for price point. Food and beverage service was particularly poor. Simple details that should be effortless at this level--like providing decent coffee in the lobby--were completely botched: no cream and poorly brewed coffee. The maitre d for breakfast service was particularly rude and appeared bothered. Wait staff appeared confused and not understanding what we needed. We felt like an inconvenience, perhaps because we did not order the self serve buffet and required a simple breakfast? Overall, this hotel failed to deliver on the most basic elements of hospitality, let alone luxury. The Four Seasons name sets a high bar and while I had high expectations, this property fell short in multiple areas. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as significant improvements are needed to meet brand standards.
