A comfortable, clean hotel in easy walking distance for exploring The Rocks. The Bridge Climb a mere 5 minute walk, plenty of eateries and markets on the weekend.
I stayed in a queen studio room with balcony offering views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Unfortunately staying over the weekend meant a cruise ship obstructing our view of the Opera House but they departed around 6:30pm, finally giving us a clear look on Monday morning. Fireworks went off both nights with us lucky enough to be in our room with a perfect view when they did.
There is a pool, spa and sauna on the ground floor surrounded by the buffet breakfast area. We opted to eat out but the full buffet breakfast is $24, $19 if pre booked. There was also a lovely terrace but didn't appear to be linked to the hotel, at least not that we could find.
Street noise was an issue on Saturday, I'm a light sleeper, with loud cars and people yelling until around 3am when I was finally able to nod off. My partner however slept through it.
Bad nights sleep aside, I'm sure that's standard for a Saturday in Sydney, I was really pleased with this hotel and would recommend it. read more
