Had a lovely stay at the Hilton in Sydney and it's on George st, it is in the middle of everything like a 10 min walk to Darling harbor 4 stops on a tram to The Opera house, I went to China town which is like 5-10 min walk and the Westfield mall is around the corner, the staff is friendly and the rooms are lovely, it was my birthday and stayed there for 2 nights and I was surprised they gave me Champagne, thank you I was truly surprised :) Alessio was so friendly and nice :)

I got upgraded from king guest room to city suite and it is huge! Great views and a jetted tub and 2 TV's and 2 toilets. Also got access to executive lounge as diamond. City suites are on the 42nd floorm. Great location and next to lots of malls especially for food. They stored my laksa in their fridge and provided a microwave on request.

Great hotel with the perfect location. Everything was fast to get to with a 15-30 min walk. If you are interested in heading to the opera house or the great restaurant area in The Rocks this hotel is fantastic. We were given an upgrade which was nice but still found the room to be small. There's a executive lounge but come early! Tables were hard to come by as was the food options. It starts at 6:30 we arrived at 6:15 and everyone was eating already and tables difficult to get. They had great shrimp options by 6:45 no more shrimp and other food options were given. My suggestion is go earlier! As diamond breakfast is complimentary as well and man breakfast was amazing!!!!!!!!! Soooo many delicious options!!!! The best breakfast I've had at any Hilton with a great view at that!

This is a very nice hotel in a convenient location. There is a grocery store (Woolworth's) and train stop less than a block from the hotel. Circular Quay was only 2 stops away. I'm Hilton Gold and was upgraded to the Executive Lounge. Yay! The rooms are nice, but relatively basic. I also stayed here 9 years ago and the room looked exactly the same (although not worn, so I'm sure they've refreshed it). My room also had a great view. The lounge serves a continental breakfast, afternoon scones and tea, and evening canapés and alcohol. On some days, that's all I had to eat all day and it was fine. There were so many friendly people working in the lounge. They do check people in when they walk in, so don't try to sneak in any guests :). I'd very much recommend the Hilton, especially if you get lounge access.

I checked in with no line on a Monday about 5PM which was good. As a diamond member, the guy spent quite a bit of time explaining I could be upgraded to the relaxation spa room for an extra $260/night. In the states, the hotel would have just upgraded me. So much for being a Hilton diamond member! The location of the hotel is excellent. You are right in the heart of the city, and since I was only staying a couple of nights, it worked out. There is a stop for the hop-on-hop-off tour a couple of blocks away from the St James station nearby. An uber to the opera house only takes about 15 minutes if that in no traffic. I will say though Pitt street is the pits for traffic since the next street over is closed for the light rail. It may be better to walk to the end of the intersection or even force uber to pick you up at the hotel door (rather than on the street) in order to drive onto a street with no traffic. That is, if the uber driver can even turn into the hotel due to pedestrian traffic. I booked an executive king bed room, and it was pretty small. The bathroom is so small that you cannot open the shower door and still easily reach the sink, e.g. turning on the water to warm up while brushing your teeth. The drain is located under the shower stall door, which is odd to me. This means water gets all over the bathroom essentially because it splatters when taking a shower. Trying to lay down the bath mat in a dry spot is difficult in such a cramped space. For this, I give 3 stars. The executive lounge prevents me from docking another star. There are lots of choices for non-alcoholic beverages, more than you can imagine, for breakfast. Each morning there are eggs, sausage, potatoes, lox (no bagels or cream cheese though), fresh fruit (ate a couple of kiwis each morning), cereals, pastries, breads, etc. The food was pretty familar, as per standard executive lounge food. I think overall my stay was alright. Diamond members receive 2 free bottles of water each night of stay. Too bad there is not a fridge to put the water in, since the fridge is full of mini bar drinks and snacks. Oh well, at least I was able to stay for cash + 60,000 points for two nights! Great Location, outstanding service, wonderful food, and outrageous buffets. Need I say more? As a Diamond member, you get one of the best breakfast buffets around. You also get afternoon tea, and an evening cocktail hour with food that basically replaces dinner. There were so many people in the executive lounge that use the evening buffet as dinner. For example they offer chicken skewers, gyozas, three kinds of salads, cheese and charcuterie plate, mixed drinks and wine, soft drinks and different types of water. It's located in the Central Business District which is near the train station, bus station and tons of shopping and eating. It is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to Circular Quay and the Sydney opera House, and about a 10 minute walk to the ferry which takes you to Toranga Zoo and a very nice ride to the Sydney opera House. This is probably one of my favorite hotels in the whole world now. The rooms are also very nicely laid out, with amazing comfortable bed and a pillow menu. They also have a rain shower in the bathroom and a great jet tub. You're going to love it here!

The Hilton Sydney pretty much sets the standard in terms of customer service, hospitality and knowing how to make a guest feel welcome. As a diamond member, the hotel recognized our status and put us up on the 43rd floor which is the highest level at the hotel. The only knock is that the rooms are a little small but comparable to standard New York sized rooms. Waking up the next morning, we had buffet breakfast at the restaurant. Service was excellent, wide variety of food options and a small section of Asian fare. At this point, we realized us being on vacation this is a very centralized business hotel and everyone was dressed to a T in 3 piece suites. We paused for just a second and thought, oh what the hell. We're on holiday, who cares! We also dropped into the executive lounge in the morning for some coffee. Staff was more than accommodating and treated us very well.

The lobby bar

It makes me feel all grown up and fancy pants having a coffee meeting at the Hilton Hotel. Look mum, I'm a real businessman! What's that? Oh. There's tomato sauce on my tie. Quick, get the sponge. You kind of figure, at least I did, that a place like this must surely have free wi-fi. And it does, it appears, although only for guests that are staying there, unless I missed something and wasn't able to figure out how to log on. I was in Vietnam last month and man, every banh mi shack and coffee shop had free wi-fi, and they've never even heard of Paris Hilton, let alone Conrad. Pull up a table - the ones on the landing have the best, lofty views - and table service takes care of the rest. Drinks are 50c to $1 more expenno than you'd pay elsewhere, but hey, it's the Hilton, and you've put on your best pair of shoes to come here.

The lobby isn't a bad place for great champagne.

My hotel stay was absolutely perfect. The location is perfect, 1/2 a block away from the Town Center train station, a block away from the Sydney Tower and huge shopping mall, and a 10 minute walk to either Sydney Harbor and the Opera House, or to Darling Harbor. The hotel has a great Executive Lounge on the 36th floor, that serves breakfast, lunch snacks and evening cocktails - all free of charge to Gold and Diamond members. The staff was the most polite of any place I have been to. Everyone was ready to help and always called me sir (I know, a bit formal, but very nice). They have a spectacular "prohibition bar" downstairs (Marble Bar), and bar and coffee counter in the lobby, and other restaurants and bar on other floors (3rd/4th). I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Sydney!

After all these years, the Hilton is still looking modern and offers the key business traveller requirements - easy city access, fast wifi, in room desks and good bathroom amenities. The service on check in was friendly and very helpful. I arrived well beyond the normal 2pm check in and was offered immediate check in if I upgraded my room for an extra $24. This was perfect and meant I could get some work done at the well equipped in-room desk before heading off for meetings The bathtubs are fantastic - deep and perfect for wallowing around in after a long day. The black out curtains in the room ensure coffin-like darkness, but mind the strong aircon as it will dry you out if left on full blast all night. The beds boast plush bed linen, but why oh why do they try and pass off two single beds pushed together as a "King". This isn't conducive for star-fish sleeping arrangements and if are sharing the bed, then one of you always ends up in the uncomfortable hap in the middle. The Hilton scrapes in at four starts as it's perfectly located and while they miss the mark on some things, the major things like a quiet nights sleep and helpful staff mean it should be considered for a quick business trip to Sydney.

Is a small selection of the food available for breakfast at Glass

The hotel is very centrally located. The staff are very efficient and helpful. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable and well equipped. We used the executive lounge which is a oasis after a busy day. Our breakfast was included for gold Hilton honor members I believe as we had wonderful breakfast at Glass included in our room rate. I would recommend the hotel as good CBD hotel.

How can you be a 5 star hotel and not have a cafe or anywhere open at 1pm Sunday. Absolutely unheard of with a 5 star rating.

Ask someone to point you in the direction of the light rail. Take the light rail to the Convention Center stop. Once there walk into the adjacent parking garage. Take the elevator to the fourth floor as if you're going to Novotel. Walk through the parking garage until you hit Murray St. and the hotel will be across the street from you. After you've checked in you can go back through the fourth floor of the parking garage to the walking bridge that will take you to the harbour and shops. You can walk all over town from this central location... across the Pyrmont Bridge, over to Chinatown, a relatively short walk to Circular Quay... it's really a great location. Swag and free stuff: Amazing! When you book on their website you get free happy hour at their bar, everything in the mini bar is free, free breakfast, free loot bag of snacks, free tote bag to swing around town or load up a few extra gifts for home. Lots of goodies! Attention to detail: Never better! From the spare toilet paper that reads "who gives a crap" to the frame hanging in the lobby for people to take selfies with, this place is fun and interesting. I found myself wanting to explore the hotel as much as I wanted to explore Sydney. Food: Nice spread! They had a really nice continental breakfast spread in the morning... lots of fruits, breads and pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, a variety of juices, and a coffee machine. I think there would be something there for everyone but if that didn't suit your fancy you could also pay for other breakfast options from the kitchen or coffee bar. Literally the only downside I came across was that the walls were thin so I could hear a lot of noises from the hallway and laundry room. So pack some ear plugs!

VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY- NOT THE FOUR SEASON STANDARD…read more This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've experienced, especially for a brand like Four Seasons that is supposed to represent luxury and impeccable service. We were suspicious upon first arrival when reception appeared overwhelmed and not able or willing to accommodate our requests. I must give a shout out to Lorenzo who did meet our expectations when we were able to enlist his assistance. The hotel felt understaffed, which affected every aspect of the stay. The accommodations were underwhelming, with rooms that were small , particularly for room class designations ,and far below expectations for price point. Food and beverage service was particularly poor. Simple details that should be effortless at this level--like providing decent coffee in the lobby--were completely botched: no cream and poorly brewed coffee. The maitre d for breakfast service was particularly rude and appeared bothered. Wait staff appeared confused and not understanding what we needed. We felt like an inconvenience, perhaps because we did not order the self serve buffet and required a simple breakfast? Overall, this hotel failed to deliver on the most basic elements of hospitality, let alone luxury. The Four Seasons name sets a high bar and while I had high expectations, this property fell short in multiple areas. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as significant improvements are needed to meet brand standards.
