A really nice boutique hotel, and one of the nicest 19th-century buildings you're like to find in Sydney.
It's very close to the eastern beach areas, especially Coogee, which is only a 10-minute bus ride away. Fewer backpackers here, then, and worth the price ($145/night for our room) if you don't need to stumble right out onto a beach. It's location also makes it a short, straight shot to get to the airport the next morning.
Staff very friendly and helpful with directions.
