"Let's all find a friendly way to help it along"

Friendly is the most appropriate word I can think of to describe the Sofitel Wentworth.
Starting with the concierge who met us at the entrance, hustled our bags inside, walked us to the registration desk, helped us get Australian postage stamps, and our chance encounters during our four days here, he was super-friendly, smiling and courteous.
Same goes with every single staff member we interacted with.
The hotel has a great location, just a few blocks from Circular Quay, the ferries, the Opera House, the Rocks, Chinatown, and dozens of cool places to see.
Our room was excellent, with a big comfortable bed, big bathroom, great shower, a fridge, a Nespresso machine, and an electric kettle to brew tea.
Their incredible breakfast buffet has no peer. We saw quite a fusion of cuisines including standard American choices (bacon, eggs, hash browns), British breakfast favorites like stewed tomatoes, baked beans and mushrooms, plus Asian breakfast items such as congee, buns, quail eggs, stir-fried vegetables, and noodles.
Quite an international feast!
The hotel had two things I never saw before One was the way you summon an elevator. No pressing of buttons here, instead you just wave your hand at an "Up" or "Down" sensor.
The other was a cool feature on their nightstands that greatly helped those middle of the night expeditions to the bathroom. When you got out of bed and placed your feet on the floor, you triggered some sort of sensor that powered up a dim light at the base of the nightstand! Quite helpful, don't you think?
We could not have been happier with our stay at such a warm and friendly hotel.
