I had actually visited on Good Friday and they were closed. I live in Katy and it was a 30 minute drive. So I left the store and told her I would return soon. The following week I returned with more choices and the need to make a final decision. When she seen the masterpiece she was floored. She then proceeded to talk about her mother's 50th birthday. It was funny because I am preparing for my 50th birthday and I was sharing with her that I don't mind sharing information with her as well to make her mother's event a success. What impressed me the most is all of the staff are welcoming to all ages and race along with being bilingual. I am always disgusted when I walk into an establishment and no one speaks ENGLISH which is the first language in HOUSTON. They are all nice and helpful CLAUDIA, stood out to me because she helped me personally. She was absolutely amazing. She gave hands on expertise and was very patient and kind. I asked to use the restroom and was refused, despite being a paying customer. The staff showed no understanding or willingness to help, which made the experience feel unwelcoming and disrespectful. When I arrived, I was grateful to see reserved parking spaces right in front. I was not eager to tackle Rice Village parking, so this convenience was a benefit for me. Upon walking in, I asked where I could find some potentially matching fabric and the salesgirl was so helpful! She pointed me in the right direction. Since I was looking for white fabric, she recommended I take the fabric outside in the sun to make sure it matches (can't trust white with the florescent lights!). That greatly helped, as the first fabric I thought would work ended up not matching at all once I took it in the sun. After a few tries, I found a fabric that was perfect! Honestly I was very disappointed when I went to Gracie's. I had read all these reviews online about…read morethe fair pricing and selection of items. In reality the store is very small and the hours on Google, Yelp, and their Instagram page are different from each other and actually different from their plastic sign they place outside the door. That was the first frustrating piece given I drove from across town to get there. The options in bags and clothes and shoes are just very limited and pricing is like buying retail at the mall or even TJ Maxx or Marshall's. I did find a French Connection dress but it was $40 which was on the cheaper end of choices. They had some selection of luxury bags--Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, MCM, and YSL. They're not in great condition, the leather on some felt dry and the store clerk didn't know much about them. For example, I asked for price on a MK backpack and she first quoted me $3000! I was like, 3K for Michael Kors?! Then she had to look into it and realized it was $250-300 which I found still pricey compared to other luxury resalers online or even the outlet. If you're just a person who loves visiting secondhand boutiques you can check it out but don't get your hopes too high. I don't think it's a great place for luxury resale, stick to Poshmark or the online luxury resalers as you'll get better condition and better pricing!

A store owner told us about this place that was not too far. I think we first went into the wrong place there a two stores that have doors right next to each other. The first place, the girl helping wouldn't leave our side but not in a helpful way. The place was to cramped and not enough room to move around. We saw a dress we liked and she gave us a huge discount but the price was still high. The shop girl first said we could order it but then came back and said it was sold out. We also weren't allowed to take pictures. I don't know why, we had seen so many dresses it gets confusing with slit, no slit, backless, halter, short and long dresses. We felt rushed and didn't see a lot of variety of prom dresses. FN Formals We decided to pass and my nieces size was sold out. We literally went next door and the first thing we noticed is all the dresses they have hanging on the wall with a number. You see a dress you like, get the number, locate on the numbered racks and find your size. It's all self serve. If you don't find your size they will help you find it. We were allowed to try on as many as we wanted. The girls working there were so helpful and not pushy. We didn't feel rushed and were allowed to take pictures. We actually had fun seeing everyone come out in their dresses. It was a good experience. They have two mirrors in the fitting room and in front of store. My niece found what she was looking for and the price was perfect $130. I don't remember what the other dresses were going for we tried on. We went during the week on Monday and it wasn't that busy. I'm sure it gets crazy on the weekends. I think they close at 6:30pm but call to confirm but we got there around 4 or 4:30. They had wedding dresses there too that are beautiful. For a young bride on a budget. Some tips. Bring a pair of heels to get an idea of what the dress will look with heels. If you plan on wearing certain under garments or stockings bring or come with it on. Some of the dresses have lots of sequins and can snag and get caught on things. Also some dresses have spaghetti straps, halter or strapless. You want to have the right bra on to see how it will look with the dress. All sales are final. Try to go during the week if you can to be in and out of the fitting room. I think they have 6 or 8 fitting rooms but with so many dresses to try on I can see how you could have to wait for a fitting room. During the weekend they could do things differently to try on dresses and get ppl in and out of the fitting room. Again I was there on a Monday around 4pm. My niece is 18 and this dress is for her high school prom. If you don't see the dresses on the wall with a number to locate yourself on the racks, you are at the wrong store.

They will help you find a dress in the color you want and also help you when trying them on. They take the dresses off the hangers and rehang when you are done.
