Was looking for the super rare Fanta Shokata, a Eastern Europe Fanta flavor that is Elderflower Lime that's hard to find in the US, but they had it in stock on sale for $3.00. Looked for German Beers and browsed the store looking at the teas and for Pierogies. No German beer so I grabbed some Czech and Polish Lagers for the parents to try. As for the Pierogie front, I would need to go back and double check but they might have ran out of premium flavors and only had Pulmonies left, but even that had interest flavors, like beef and veal. They carry Milka chocolate in several different flavors so I need to come back for a super snack haul with other interesting things to try. They have a nice selection of tinned fish, but I wasn't able to find any shellfish. The store had all sorts of sauces, seasonings, soup bases and ingredients for cooking and baking. They carry a wide variety of meats that looked good as a snack, for a charcuterie board or as a breakfast food item for rice porridge with the tinned fish. All in all, it was a good chance to browse some of the stuff that places like Super King might not carry or that Aldi or Trader Joes doesn't have.

They are stored in big plastic clear bins. They also sell teas and other miscellaneous items. Price is by the pound depending on item. Some of the items may be $30+ per pound. Keep that in mind. I love their dry squid and pork jerky which are my go-tos. When I used to eat beef, I would get their beef jerky... so good! Anyway, I ended up getting a quarter pound of pork jerky. The lady who helped us was very friendly. However, when she was grabbing the pork jerky, I noticed she grabbed from the lower right corner instead of in the middle of the bin. Afterwards, I wondered if the older batch was at the corner and newer batch was everywhere else LOL. Oh well, I'll have to tell them where to grab the goods from next time. As I was paying, they offered my Mom and I a small cup of tea that tasted like dates. It was delightful. Thank you for the tea. All in all, it was a very short visit. If you know what you want, just tell them what you want and how much (btw, it's not self-service, they will get and bag the items for you), pay, and go. Easy peasy!

I asked for beef jerky and they began stuffing the bag without confirming the amount because I didn't even have a chance to say what I wanted. Then I got distracted because another staff member offered me a sample of pecans. It was good and the price was fair at $25/lb so I opted in to add that on my order. I requested half a pound. I turned away to talk to my wife which was the biggest mistake ever because as they were ringing me up, I see the bag and it looks WAY more than half a pound. I ask about it and she says "Half a bag, okay?" That's different than half a pound and she pretended not to speak English anymore?? I object and she says she's adding in free samples so it's okay. It all happened too fast, it was very confusing, and she also defaulted to pretend like she wasn't understanding me so I just paid and got tf outta there. I decided to weigh it when I got home and guess what? They even had the gall to give me less than what they charged me for LOL So they essentially peddle more than what you ask for to charge you more and then they don't even give you what they forced on you! So it's a double win for them and a lose-lose for the customer. Absolutely disgusting business practice, I can't believe this place is still in business. I'd give zero stars if I could. I hope they close soon, the place was empty when I was there probably because customers are figuring out these guys are scam artists.

As you'd suspect, it serves the Chinese-speaking community specializing in Ginseng as well as other "health" items. Ginseng is believed to deliver many benefits as a stimulant, aphrodisiac, or general cure for whatever ails you. Since it only grows in a few places in the world and ... apparently ... has wide variances in quality, Ginseng can range in prices dramatically. Yuen Fung Sum Yong is one of the "cheaper" sellers of Ginseng in the area, but it can still be hundreds of bucks for a small pack of "the good stuff." This store's main offering is Made in America Wisconsin Ginseng; however, wild Ginseng, Bird's Nests, Shark's Fins (allegedly), and other rare Asian medicinal and health foods are available, too. Bring someone who speaks Mandarin to negotiate ... and good luck. There's got to be a price you can both agree is fair. Parking is free for the entire shopping center.

While I was waiting for my to-go order, I walked around and saw Vua Kho Bo right across the parking lot. I am a very huge fan of a few of their dried fruits especially the jujube, logan, and black sesame candy plus their aromatic green tea. A sweet nice and friendly lady staff made eye contact with me and offered me some complimentary green tea. I couldn't say no so I walked right in. There were no other customers at the time, but moi. I got all their attention which was nice. Store was very clean and organized. It looks so pretty with the bright red decor and different colors from the dried goods. You can pretty much sample anything for free from the bins of dried goods. Got to sample the jujube and black sesame candy. They were good. I ended up buying one scoop of the jujube. Make sure you tell them exactly how much you want otherwise they may put in a few more scoops. It happened to me at another Vau Kho Bo location. I asked for half a bag, but I got 3/4 bag (that's one more scoop than what I wanted). I didn't get the black sesame candy cuz I still have some at home. I originally did not intend to buy the green tea, but when I was at the counter, I realized I ran out of them at home. I grabbed one bag of 100 individual tea bags for $75.00 which averages to $0.75 per tea bag. It's really great tasting green tea. Well worth the money! I'll be back for more once my stash of dried goods and green tea are gone. It may not always be at this location, but Vua Kho Bo will always be my go-to spot. If you haven't visited them, go check them out at one of their many locations. Just one tip, don't be afraid to say no because they will try to entice you to buy more.

This place is mostly famous for their Turon. Just the right amount of crunch to sweetness ratio. I especially love that they have catering trays for everything you would want to bring to a filipino party. You can order their Turon in orders of 5 or more which gives you plenty of options if you want people to share. The pieces are pretty long so my tip would be to cut them in half to feed more mouths. Last time I went I got their lumpia and pancit bihon. My goodness!! Delicious and so fresh. The noodles I ate for days even after the party but everyone enjoyed it. I like the thin and thick noodles so happy they offered more than just the traditional pancit. Plenty of lumpia sauce was given and was thankful they hooked it up. The team at Chaaaste is phenomenal!! Honestly everyone is so friendly and kind. They always ask me about my day and curious where I'm going with all their delicious food. So family oriented and you could tell they put a lot of love into their food. I especially love seeing the Lola's and Aunties behind the counter at the register. So sweet! They have a small parking lot but I never had issues parking. There are always spots open. It's in a small plaza, but they offer everything you could need filipino. There's even a convenience store and some steam table staples available throughout the day. Their longanisa is fire and can't go wrong with anything they have hot and fresh. Truly a treat to get something from here so come for your parties, come for the snacks, or just come for ready to go food. They have it all!!

The pancit was solid, the longganisa was juicy and had that sweet flavor, and the lechon was really good. Moist with super crispy skin. Definitely get the sauce with it, it helps cut through the richness. Also grabbed a turon to finish and it was delicious. Left super full and ready to knock out after. Solid spot if you're in the area and craving Filipino food.
