I have never in my life gotten a wax and had so much of brow removed, they are not symmetrical at all; overly done to the point where I am looking into getting semi permanent eyebrows put on because it is that noticeable. Yes I got a refund, but I did HAVE to purchase an eyebrow pencil because it was that completely bad. And again yes I got a discount on the pencil, but I will be spending almost a 1000 dollars getting a semi permanent beauty procedure done now to fix a mistake that never should have been made. I have full brows, thick brows and I was told multiple times that having "sparse brows" is ok because they can be penciled in, I don't have thin brows I was waxed to the point my full brows that needed a little Clean up look like lines now. Also as waxing company you would know, that waxing pulls hair out by the root; which can lead to PERMANENT consequences, it is not guaranteed my hair will grow back.

To say that I am stressed out is, to say the least, a gross understatement. It's affecting my…read moresleep, and I hold all of it in my neck and shoulders (which are loaded with kinks and knots). Enter Body Kneads. I booked a 60-minute massage (and a 30-minute body scrub because why the heck not) and headed over. Body Kneads is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood in Gilbertsville (you'd never find it without Yelp or word-of-mouth), and the owners have done an amazing job with the space. There's ample off-street parking (bonus) and an easy, ADA-accessible entry. There are multiple treatment rooms (at least two of which are equipped to do couples' massages), and the whole vibe of the place is zen-like and calming. I was placed into the care of Chad, who asked me about my areas of concern, the kind of pressure I like (in this case, I was after something pretty "kneady"), and he got to work. Getting the knots out of my shoulders wasn't easy but he did it. At the end of my 90 minutes, I felt better than I had in weeks. Am I still stressed? YES (life is just like that sometimes). But Chad and Body Kneads helped work out the physical manifestations of that stress, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. TL; DR the massage was fantastic, the spa is lovely, and it all comes at a pretty unbelievable price. Going to make this a regular thing.

I walked in today & the young girl, Tu, approached me with questions. I told her my niece goes there & she yells across the room, other clients around "oh yeah I remember you. Are you sure you want to get your nails done here?" I replied "why would you ask me something like that? Terrible business approach". She said "You asked Chloe so many questions she felt you didn't trust her". In which I replied once again "what a terrible way to run business". Paying customers are allowed to ask questions. Let me mention this was almost of not over a year ago that I was there prior & she is still stuck on this story. The girl who fixed my 2 nails today did a fine job but I will NEVER step foot in there again & I will encourage my family to stop going there. TERRIBLE attitudes from these youngcgirls who clearly need a business course, learn how to read the room & their clients' energy. This was a completely unnecessary exchange & very off-putting.

I asked, "aren't you supposed to rinse that off first" and she rudely said "no... it's barbicide" like yes I can read thank you. My scalp started to burn as I was sitting on the chair longer and longer. I did a quick Google and sure enough the combs are supposed to be washed off before use. I attached pictures of my Google search to prove this is not ok practice. Not to mention the comb she was using looked like it was ten years old and had broken prongs. Not sure how you can get a proper cut while using a comb that's broken. To top it all off, not once was I asked if the water was ok while she was washing my hair. I had to ask twice for her to turn the temperature down. She didn't ask if I wanted my hair blow dried and just started doing it. She didn't ask how I wanted it styled and just turned on the straightener. When I said "oh you dont need to straighten it, I don't like using heat on my hair" she got snippy and said "ok you can just follow me then." And turned the straightener off. When I was being checked out I was not asked how the service or my experience was and was basically just given the price and told me I can read the monitor. Horrible experience. Let's hope my scalp is okay and I don't need to go to the doctor!!!!

Then halfway through, he switched with a woman, and she put at least 7 coats of polish on my nails. They're so thick and stubby. There's also bubbles in them, I assume from the layers upon layers of gel on me. The one thing they did get right was my color. Definitely will not be coming back here, I only went here because it was close to my parents. I do not recommend. Also, it doesn't even look like they're open!
