Having a massive dance party was our biggest priority for our wedding and Keith delivered just that. He kept our dance floor packed and had an excellent knack for reading the room, and playing the right songs. We gave Keith some recommendations, and he also played some of his own. He did an awesome job of keeping us all on our timeline. Keith also was so gracious that he made us an ultimate playlist of all the songs from our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Keith was professional, charismatic, and worked so well with our other vendors. He was a great communicator and put as at ease. My husband and I (parents of the bride) were very disappointed with the DJ that was chosen through Vox. I am sure Vox has some very good DJ's, but in our opinion, ours was not one of them. We had numerous verbal and email conversations about a particular combination of 3 songs that were to be played for a well rehearsed father /daughter dance. It was so poorly executed by the DJ that you would think that we had never talked about it at all. We really focused on discussing all the details so that it would be perfect. But, so sad to have the special moment marred by the songs not being loud enough to hear and cut off before the time determined, which unfortunately threw it all off. My husband was so disappointed , this was their moment and he wanted to make our daughter proud. There was also a "secret surprise" planned within this dance for our daughter. This was supposed to be kept a secret by the DJ Jacob who ended up spilling the beans to our daughter during their last meeting before the wedding. Lastly, so many of our guests requested songs were never played. Although Jacob said he has been doing this for years, our experience did not feel like that at all. We don't think the DJ enhanced our reception like we have experienced at other weddings. If we had a do over, I would suggest to my daughter to choose another DJ, unfortunately we do not. My apology. Vox DJ's are absolutely the best! Don't look anywhere else - these guys know what they are doing! We had the best experience, from the second we contacted them for DJ services. Rob and Lara in the office, and Ralph our DJ, were the absolute best. Everything from the second we called was simple, organized, and easy - which makes the stressful wedding planning process so much better when your vendors are this good! On the day of, Ralph arrived on time and with the best attitude - he is positive, upbeat, and motivating. The music was exactly what we wanted - he totally got and followed our vision. The dance floor was packed all night long and the MC'ing was on point. One of my favorite things Ralph did at the reception was not just play but teach our guests how to do the Cupid Shuffle, a song we had requested. Lots of DJ's would just put it on, but by teaching it, it meant absolutely everyone - even the aunts and uncles who weren't dancing, were out there - I've seen this flop but it was such a hit and everyone had a blast! Noel with Vox DJs in AZ was AMAZING! He came with more than enough equipment to provide sound to our split venue that had 3 different "areas" that needed his attention. Because we did a lot of our wedding planning ourselves and didn't have a coordinator, Noel stepped up as our DJ to ensure that the timeline of the evening was met and that everything flowed perfectly from one portion of the wedding to the next. We booked VOX DJs for our wedding because of the reviews we had seen online. The party/dancing was super important to us, so we wanted to make sure we booked someone who would make sure our night lived up to the hype we created in our mind. Darron and his crew did just that - and then some! Prior to the wedding, the team was super easy to work with, very responsive and sent over tons of helpful materials and questionnaires to get us started. Darron took the songs we gave him and created a playlist that had everyone dancing all night. Some even got so into it, there may have been some ripped pants . We also booked the photo-booth which was a huge hit. Even though we didn't get to print our pictures that night (through no fault of VOX, just poor Wifi at the venue), they had back up plans for letting everyone download their pictures directly and sent us a link to all of them afterwards. DJ Trego (Andrew) MC'd our wedding back in December at HotelSeven4One (Laguna Beach, CA) and he was amazing! High energy, positive vibes, and nothing but love and passion for what he does! He took the time to learn the names he was announcing and created an awesome wedding-appropriate playlist for us. We weren't very helpful at our first meeting because we were all over the place in terms of music (sorry!) but he threw in crowd favorites that would keep the party going. We were already spread so thin (we both work more than full time jobs) and had family and friends coming in early for the holidays that it was nice to be able to rely on someone who was more than capable for this job. My wife and I were recently married in Los Angeles and were incredibly lucky to have been able to book DJ Trego from VOX DJs for the event! We heard from countless friends afterwards how much they enjoyed themselves particularly because of Trego and the energy he brought to the reception. We can also say that it was a pleasure to work with VOX as they're a very professional organization and have done enough weddings to make everything stress-free and easy. Our venue referred us to VOX as their DJs were familiar with using the venue's sound system and are accustomed to working with their coordinators. We were given a great deal (off-season wedding, booked a year in advance) on a package with an Elite DJ and a 3-hour photo booth. Their site has intro videos from all of the DJs which is really quite helpful when trying to make a choice since it would be impossible to meet and talk to everyone. After watching the videos we chose DJ Trego. We were excited about the amount of energy he would bring to the party since we were concerned about our friends not typically being the most dance-happy types and we wanted a packed floor for the party. Promptly a month before the event we had a planning meeting (included) where we sat down with Trego and discussed _every_ detail of the wedding. Trego welcomed us, gave us a bit of backstory on his life and style and then spent a large amount of time asking insightful questions trying to get to know us and identify the type of party we were looking for. He's clearly able to tailor the product to the couple being married and really went out of his way to get all of the information that he needed to do so. In the meeting he brought up small details that we didn't even know existed and made sure to educate us on them and help us choose exactly how we wanted it. This was especially apparent when we were planning out our first dance: DJ Trego drew out a map of the room in the venue from memory and asked us where we'd like him to gather guests, where we'd like to enter from, exactly when to start the music, etc. He even edited our soundtrack for the dance for us to something that he could loop a bit at the beginning to make the transition into the dance more seamless. Seriously, he covered every single detail. The man loves his job and it shows. Unsurprisingly the day of the wedding went off without a hitch. Every single one of our (non-dancing) friends wound up on the dance floor of their own volition. At no time did Trego guilt trip them into it like I've seen some other DJs do in the past, he really just created a party out there that everyone wanted to be a part of. I think for our group he did more of the "structured" dances than he might do for others (cupid shuffle, wobble, etc.) which he suggested would be a good idea to get people involved. We really deferred to his judgement as we'd never hired a DJ before and let him run with it. He crushed it. VOX also has an online system for adding songs you'd like the DJ to play which was a nice touch. The photo booth was also a big hit with our family and friends. We paid for 3 hours of runtime, but VOX was quite generous and allowed us to split it up into one hour of runtime during cocktail hour, a break during dinner and then two hours of runtime during the reception. The "idle" time for the break was covered with a quite reasonable fee and it was much cheaper than having to pay for the photo booth for an additional few hours when it wasn't in use that other places try to charge. The attendant for the booth was cheery, well-dressed and helpful. We were able to (with some minor amount of struggle with VOX) submit our own background for the photo booth strips that matched the theme of the wedding. This turned out to be a pretty manual back-and-forth process with their photo booth manager (not your DJ) via email and was harder than it should have been but the strips turned out nicely. Overall VOX and DJ Trego delivered an amazing package at a quite reasonable price for our wedding. I cannot recommend DJ Trego highly enough. He is amazingly dedicated to his work and has the energy and charisma to turn any room into a party. From the beginning we had a stress-free process where each step of the way we were just more and more impressed with his skills. Our planner recommended Andrew Trego from VOX DJs right after we booked her because he is so popular, and for good reason. Booking Trego for our 9/10/2017 wedding was the easiest vendor decision we made during our entire wedding planning process. In fact, he was the only DJ we interviewed, and right after our Skype video call, we knew we had to book him immediately. Trego has infectious energy (and SO MUCH OF IT), is super sweet to work with leading up to the wedding, and knows how to keep wedding guests engaged throughout the night. If you are like me and my husband, and don't personally have big personalities, or won't be doing some kind of funny dance/performance at your wedding, but still want your guests to have fun, then hiring a DJ (and specifically Trego) will be the best decision you will make for the wedding. I still remember during the wedding one of our groomsmen turning to us with his jaw dropped because he was so amazed at Trego, and the first thing all of our friends and family had to say about our wedding was how awesome the DJ was. One of my friends even decided to book Trego for her own wedding after seeing him at our wedding, which just shows how awesome he is! We chose DJ Andrew Trego for our wedding based on his amazing reviews and we were instantly sold during our introduction phone call. His energy and passion was so evident from that first conversation. Prior to the wedding, we Facetimed multiple times discussing our musical tastes and he made the song selection process easy and fun. What was most impressive was how he took time to really get to know us as people and as a couple. He asked important questions to get in on some of our inside jokes, jokes he was able to allude to during the wedding. On the day of the wedding his set was perfect. Every song was a hit and the energy on the dance floor never died down the entire night. DJ Trego instantly became a legend that night when he listened in on the Best Men speech, heard their joke about 50 Cent in the speech, and subsequently played 50 Cent's "In Da Club" for their exit song, unprompted. Amazing. Attention and care for details like that makes him the perfect DJ for the biggest nights of your life. At the end of the night, because the energy was high and positive the entire night, we were lifted onto the shoulders of our closest friends and crowd surfed for close to 2 minutes. Unreal. We were referred by many to use VOX DJs for our wedding when we started our planning last year. They were very responsive from the beginning and offered easy payment options. Music is a huge part of my husband and I's lives, so finding the right DJ to play our eclectic taste in music was very important to us. In his introduction video on Vox's website, he mentioned some of the exact artists we listen to and also talked about his love for 90's Euro-dance music, house, and other dance genres. We booked him immediately and are so happy we did! As it got closer to the wedding date, we had a 1 on 1 phone call with Darron to go over our wedding day music timeline. He was super helpful guiding us through the planning document and making sure we had everything covered. His enthusiasm really helped kick start our excitement for the big day that was missing since we had been so stressed about how the wedding would turn out due to COVID-19. A couple weeks out from our original 6/6/20 wedding date, we ended up having to postpone because of government restrictions. This was a huge crush to our spirits because we had held off so long in hopes the situation would improve. We then rescheduled to 7/18/20. Through all this uncertainty, Darron was so flexible with us and offered nothing but positive comments every time we spoke. He quickly changed over our booking date and ensured us that our day would still be perfect and not to worry about anything on his end. It was a huge relief to know how committed he was to making our day memorable, no matter the circumstances. Another thing we really appreciated about Darron is he was very responsive and answered all my questions, and I had many. He always texted back and made me feel good about him directing the whole wedding day. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ on our wedding day. Everything ran so smoothly and he played all the songs we hand picked which made the whole celebration feel very personalized. Friends and family of all ages were out on that dancefloor the ENTIRE night. It was amazing to see him command a crowd and get everyone moving. I truly have never been to another wedding where you have grandma, nephew, and father all dancing and having the best time. We received so many compliments that night and the days following about the music from our ceremony/reception and also how quick and smooth everything ran because Darron kept things moving the entire night.
