She was so helpful throughout the planning process. We were having a destination wedding and she was able to meet us at our venue in Sedona, and then at the rental company location to pick out all of our rentals. At both the venue and rental company, Cara jumped to action and immediately started visualizing the event, taking notes as to where everything would be set up, and providing great suggestions. I remember after we were finished at the rental company, my husband and I were driving back to Phoenix and we both felt so relieved to have Cara helping us. We realized that she had a plethora of knowledge and she made sure that we wouldn't be over-paying for anything. There were many emails and several phone conversations with Cara, and she was always ready to answer any questions that I had. I was not the least bit worried about the coordination of things for wedding day. Cara was well organized, and made sure she was well prepared and informed on our vendors, timeline, wedding party and guests of honor, music selections, decoration placement, and everything else you could imagine. She was also very good at keeping documentation of conversations, sent emails, and other pertinent information regarding the vendors. Her preparedness helped out immensely when there were a couple of snags that happened on wedding day. If the aforementioned doesn't convince you that you need to have A Day to Cherish in your wedding planning life, Cara went above and beyond even after we got married! While we were on honeymoon for 3 weeks she worked on resolving an issue we had with the transportation vendor. She emailed us progress updates, which made it easy for us to continue where she left off when we returned. I can only imagine how busy Cara must be, so for her to help us out after our wedding was absolutely amazing!

Magic! My wife surprised my dad and me for a special…read moreFather's day meal. We picked up my dad and his wife for or a drive north of Phoenix. We arrived at Arcosanti in the middle of no where. It is a live-in artisian community for those wanting to perfect a certain type of bell making technic. The setting is mystical as it reminded me of a Hollywood movie set. It was beautiful in a unique way. I was glad to be attending a Cloth and Flame dinner here tonight. Cloth and Flame (C and F) had enhanced the surroundings with a bar, spa-like soothing music and mood lighting. Hors d'oeuvres were served while people mingled and engaged in pleasant conversations. An introduction was made of C and F, Arcosant staff and residents. They explained the mission of Arcosanti and shared the founder's vision. The bell was sounded and we all took our assigned seats for an incredible evening and fabulous food. Around 75 people sat at assigned seats for a delicious family style meal. Being seated in this manner forced you to meet and have conversations with couples on your right and left. It was a community feeling for a dinner that I don't get at a normal restaurant. People were open, engaging, friendly and warm. It was like dining at a friend's house with additional guests you have never met. The ambience was only outdone by the quality and flavor of the food. I have included a copy of the menu. We started with a mushroom, roasted garlic and allum crema. I am a huge fan of mushrooms and was not disappointed but had to remember, this was meant to be shared with others at the table. The next dish was a salad with cauliflower, raisins, berry mixture and mint. It was a completely different taste profile and a welcomed surprise to my taste buds. The orange flavored salmon filets and beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauces was perfectly cooked and moist. This is not easy to accomplish as they had to be served to all guests at once and were spot on. Great job by the chefs! Our dessert was a corn marscapone with strawberries. If you are looking to have a special evening with incredibly prepared food in a mystical setting, call Cloth and Flame. It will be a memorable evening and an enriching experience for those attending. We were greated with options for cocktails and appetizers. The food was excellent as was the service. Everyone associated was smiling and welcoming and added to the glow of the evening. They made the whole process so smooth and easy for me which I appreciated so I could spend my energy elsewhere. Disorganized. Unprofessional . Careless…read more I was referred to Stephanie by another wedding planner who does larger budget weddings. She suggested that I contact Stephanie a.k.a. "The B Team" for our wedding. When I contacted Stephanie she sounded sweet and she seemed to understand just what I wanted: bridal, romantic, traditional. This is my first and only wedding and it seemed like things were going to go well with Stephanie. Initially, her fee was low but at two critical moments in the wedding planning Stephanie called me demanding that I give her more money so that she can complete the negotiations. It was always a crisis, and she needed money within 24 hours, or my wedding planning would not be complete. I found out later that these vendors asked to speak with me directly and Stephanie refused to give them my contact information. She told me that she was the only one who could negotiate these deals and that I needed to pay her more for it...twice! Stephanie charged us almost $4,000 for our flowers, and ordered the wrong centerpieces!!! Stephanie did not have the courage to come tell me about her mistake, instead I walked in to my wedding reception and found thousands of dollars in flowers that I didn't order. I have been informed that this large Phoenix based florist will no longer be working with Stephanie in the future due to her disorganization, and lack of professionalism. Stephanie was responsible for handing out corsages and boutonnieres to important members of my family, she had a list of these people emailed to her weeks before the wedding. Instead of checking the list on the wedding day she simply gave them to the wrong people and let me know, "oh well, I just gave it to so-and-so". Oh well?! Stephanie also ruined our guest book, charged us for a headpiece for the flower girl that she never gave to the flower girl ... I can go on and on. What is the point of having a wedding planner if they are going to make these kinds of mistakes? I won't go in to the lack of integrity that she has in negotiating her fee, I will mention that one of her vendors called her "shady". This means that if you choose to work with Stephanie, some of the best vendors will not be available to you because they will not work with her. Buyer beware!!

So good, we decided to have another party the very next week. They assigned Lukus, who never showed up. Very stressful and also costly because there were things I'd purchased for the party that I couldn't do without help that went to waste. I get it, you're depending on people you've hired to do what they say and show up, so it's hit/miss. The 1 star is because at first, Lauren w/Party Host Helpers, seemed concerned and apologetic, called me to say she is looking for someone to help me that night. Of course, there wasn't anyone at that late notice on a Saturday night. That's the last I've heard from them. Now it's been 3 days. No call, no email, no text and NO REFUND of my deposit. It wouldn't have taken much for them to call or email, extend their apologies again, and refund my money. But, they've moved on and clearly don't care. Now I am stuck holding the bag, investing more of MY time to chase my refund. It's a good idea, but you can't count on it and if they fail, you can't count on them promptly processing a refund. *sigh* Never again.
