The owner was super nice and there are tons of old school games. It's super cheap and a good place to kill some time.

What an incredible fella who owns a bunch of super fun games! It's almost like being invited into a friend's super loaded basement for hours of enjoyment! All he asks is that you show up ready to have fun and be respectful. I could have played pinball for days! Our group of 7 enjoyed the movie, air hockey, pinball, arcade games, racing games, and DDR. Would have stayed so much longer if we didn't have to feed the children! Absolutely worth a visit here. We will be back next time we're in Little Rock! read more

Such a great family friendly place! The owner I assume, was so nice. They have step stools for little ones, baby bouncers for you baby, a tv playing a movie, they even had products for women in the bathroom along with a baby changing table that is not just ordinary ones you see everyone else. My 6 year old loved this place and loved that they said we were welcome to come back after we ate lunch. We'll def go again soon! read more

OH. MY. GOD. The nostalgia alone got me feeling some kinda way. From the music, the games, the memorabilia, and the decor, this is my new favorite place here in Arkansas. Husband and I stopped by after a kid less night out and had so much fun, we came back the next night and brought our kids. They loved it! Our son tried Yahoo for the first time and thought it was interesting The guys here are great. We've talked to the son with blonde hair (I forgot his name ) and the owner just about games, the decor, a little about their back story, etc. The whole family (it's family run) were so kind to our kids as well, trying to make them laugh. The kids enjoyed themselves and got a kick at the fact that there were so many games that we played as kids or even their grandparents played as kids! They even tried to play the atari..... but of course they got bored of the games on there rather quickly About $9 cover to get in and unlimited play?? Do it! If you get tired of the games, you can always just relax on a couch and watch a movie! read more

TL;DR Review: A nostalgia rush for the ages! I knew it was a retro arcade. I knew more or less what that meant. I wasn't ready for it though. I took my kids, who are 7 and 10. It hit me about halfway through my 3 hour stay that this was a real gift to our community. Otherwise, my kids wouldn't have ever really had an opportunity to experience these games; especially not how I did when I was their age. They both just died over it. There are _so_ many games here, and they're maintained so well! They have games I used to love as a kid and completely forgot about them. Now my kids are playing them the same way I did, and I didn't know it would mean as much as it did. They can't wait to go back, and I can't wait to take them! read more

I can in from out of town & my nephew begged to take him here & I'm glad I did! There are more games & nostalgia here than any arcade I've been too! This place is rare yet unlimited & will keep any age engaged. The owner & workers are just like family. You can feel the positive energy when you walk in the door! Another huge positive is that it's clean! They do offer snacks for a very decent price if you just keep to a table area. There's a great, lively atmosphere in there with 80s music playing...it really feels, sounds, and smells like the old arcades and skating rinks I remember in the 80s/90s. I went inside and was reminded of my local skating rink in the 80s with the sounds, music and arcade machines...the only thing missing was the smell of cotton candy, but then I detected a whiff of that in the air too :). They have a really huge variety of games, from the early 80s Pac Man/Donkey Kong/Asteroids/Centipede/Tempest, etc. to the late 90s Street Fighter II/Mortal Kombat II/House of the Dead/Daytona racing, etc. and later, both video games and pinball. They also have TVs with console games like NES. They have birthday parties for kids. The owner is very friendly too. Went there today and had a really good time. Lots of the classic games for Gen X'ers like me but also some good stuff for younger people. I've been to a bunch of these arcades where you pay a fee ($9.25) and then get free play on all the games. This was one of the first I've seen that had a bunch of tv's hooked up with games (Nintendo, Atari, etc) and then a whole library of games to choose from. Lots of fun nostalgia to look at as well. Maybe some 80s music blasting but the crowd I saw might be too young for that. read more

Great arcade! The games are amazing!! They have a really good selection of some old school games, plus pinball machines. The decor is really nostalgic too! My son and husband had a blast. They have something for everyone, including a space with toys for little kids (2 and under). This was nice because I was able to put my baby down and let her play - which is hard to find spaces that have options for babies! One great thing is that they have a stocked bathroom with a changing table. I feel like the owners really thought about families in this regard. They make it easy to stay because they have everything there. It's such a great place! So glad to have a place like this in Central Ark! Highly recommend. read more

My wife and I were visiting Little Rock to have dinner while we were on a short vacation in Hot Springs and we were looking for something fun and interesting to do afterwards. After doing some searching we decided to go to the Vortex Arcade and upon entering were excited to see all of the various types of games that were available. Not only did they have multiple consoles with hundreds of games, there were dozens of pinball machines from various decades, and also numerous stand alone games. These included historic icons such as Q-Bert, Galaga, Asteroid, and Pac Man including so many others. There were also some first person shooters that I remembered from when I was growing up in addition to dance dance revolution and numerous driving games too. Basically, they have games for any nostalgic gamer and also simply for anyone wanting to have a great experience. Everyone there was friendly and it was obvious that the owner was passionate about his arcade and loved gaming. It must have taken a long time to track down all of that hardware and also a lot of experience and knowledge to keep everything in working order!
