Their staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable about all the products AND the fish/aquatic life they sell. This is important as many of the chain stores have little knowledge about the animals they sell and it results in the fish dying without proper care. 2. They have a great selection of high quality products for tanks, if you have questions about the products they can always answer them for you and figure out what would be best for your tank. 3. It is ALWAYS clean, the floors are clean, the tanks are clean, it smells like an aquatic store but it doesn't smell bad. This is important for the overall well being of the animals! I highly recommend coming here for your aquatic needs!

We had recently become betta fish parents and we want to learn how to be the best parents we can! Our Betta is about two months in at our home and we had started getting a real algae problem. Some of our plants started to get weird and junk so we pulled them out. We were geared up to get some new plants, a siphon tool to help us clean and change out the water, and of course learn more about how we can maintain a great aquarium for our fish. We happened to be off the same day so we made the trek over to Rivers and Reefs! Walking in was as if you were walking into the most intentional fish store I've experienced. The tanks were of differing sizes with various fish, plants, and decor inside the tank for the fish communities. There were salt water fish and fresh water fish. I loved seeing the crates beneath the aquariums with various rocks, driftwood, wood, and other aquarium decor we can purchase. Each crate was easily marked with the price per pound. I also loved that they had a few betta fish in large tanks with plants and other fish. The bettas looked happy and big!! It was such a nice thing to see after seeing so many bettas looking sad in those small cups at other pet stores. We were greeted by the employees there in a timely manner and one of them came over to help us as we decided what algae eater we should get and what plants would be good to add to our aquarium. The employee was incredibly friendly and helpful. She was patient with our questions and seemed very knowledgeable. We decided on a small clown pleco to add to our aquarium and a few plants that will hopefully take nicely and continue to grow. Once we got home we got to changing the water and getting it pretty clean. We got our pleco acclimated and now he's been cruising down below while Betta keeps enjoying his tank! We know we will definitely keep coming back to this store for all of our fish and aquarium needs. It felt less intimidating than other stores and the staff is incredibly helpful!

They make their own chick feed and have a bunch of pet and other stuff. It's been a while since I've had such a personable customer service experience. 10/10 Would recommend. All the stars.

Harrison street is the dividing line between Omaha and Bellevue, and they are on the Bellevue side at the corner of a strip mall. I have been buying DogGurt frozen treats from different pet stores and grocery stores in the past, but now it's even better that I can go straight to their store. They are also serving Brixtix Bakery for Dogs at this location, so that is a plus!. I stopped in today and bought my Blue Heeler girl some Blueberry Frozen Treat and a couple of cookies. She loved the Blueberry treat on this summer day! I highly recommend stopping in and checking them out! I will definitely be back!

Sarah has truly made this space so inviting for the "guests" as she refers to the cats. She was very accommodating every step of the way. Each evening we got a report card via email with details, photos, and a video of our cat's day. We loved that our cat got to free roam with the other cats while supervised. Sarah and her staff loved and played with our cat while on vacation. He made himself right at home using all the amenities the hotel has to offer. We will definitely be using The Catios again!

After moving and looking for a new place now, I found them under a different name so was hoping it was different ownership. It might be but the lady who nipped my dog still worked there. She was NOT my groomer this time. I went here for a while and it seems like the groomer was "dog shaming" me. She would tell me how matted my dog was and give her terrible haircuts claiming that she had to. She also said my dog was mean and needed a muzzle. I took them to PetSmart last weekend and they raved about how good she was and that it must have been the old groomer's bad energy that made her like that! Who knows but regardless, I will be going to PetSmart from now on.

Used this facility to board my cat while i was out of town for the holidays. When I got my cat…read moreback, he was given back to me with an upper respiratory infection, and possibly mange. Waiting for the skin test results to come back from my vet to confirm or deny the second. When he was given to me sneezing on pickup, the proprietor gave me 2 days worth of antibiotics and told me he would be fine. Called my vet on the way home from the facility and they told me thats not nearly enough and that he would need a 7 day course of the antibiotics. they filled it for me, however either way I will not be bringing my cat back to this facility. As far as the facility itself is concerned, it is a large warehouse space with a loft area that is set up like a bedroom. around the space there is a lot of the different boarding cages, but it appears for the most part the cats just run rampant all around the space. I feel bad saying it, but the place kinda has a crazy cat lady vibe to it. If the proprietor lets sick cats mingle with healthy cats, whats to say that there aren't FIV+ cats running around in there interacting with FIV- cats? Affordably priced but would not recommend, which is sad because my cat is super social and likes seeing other kitties rather than just staying in a small cage in the vet boarding. UPDATE: Vet confirmed its not mange but dermatitis

While I had left my 2 dogs with Leah (their main pet sitter) a time before and they were perfectly fine and happy when I picked them up, the price was fantastic, and she gave them free baths, I thought this was anything short of dreamy. When I left them with her the second time I asked her in addition to the free bath she provided if she also wouldn't mind grooming him, Harvey Oaks is a dog grooming salon. I sent her pictures and told her to contact me if there were any questions. I was unable to collect them so my mother went out to pick them up and pay the bill. Leah not only did such a HORRIBLE job grooming my dog that I was in tears, (I had to take him to another groomer that I trusted and pay to have him fixed, she said in her 35 years of dog grooming she had never seen a cut so awful), she also charged me 90.92 for grooming him (he is a labradoodle, but I was under the previous impression that the bath was free, not to mention she didn't clean his ears, trim his pads or his nails, ALWAYS included in a bath). When I confronted her she said she had charged me for the baths as they were associated with grooming, FOR BOTH DOGS, and gave me 30.00 back for my labradoodles hair cut. She refused to admit she totally tricked me out of money by charging for the baths this time around and 35.00 my other dog is 8lbs... give me a break. She refused to remedy the situation and I will never take my dogs to her for pet sitting or for gods sake grooming again, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE, they are untrustworthy and bad ppl let alone the grooming skills were so horrible I still can't get over it.

our mini golden doodle was 1 year old and had nothing but horrible experiences at previous…read moregroomers. the petsmart groomer even gave up and said that this dog needs to be sedated to be groomed. we feared he was right, but heard about harvey oaks dog grooming from a trusted friend, and thought we'd give them a try. these groomers are just wonderful dog people, and couldn't believe that previous groomers had such trouble with our little tillie. they have provided cuts just as i've described to them, as we search to find our tillie's best "look". tillie still doesn't want to go back into petsmart, but is always eager to enter harvey oaks dog grooming.
