I selected Lucerine cottage cheese for my expiring points on App. I then went to this store, but, I was not able to find the item; I asked Customer service for help, a very nice gentleman went storage to check, unfortunately the item was out of stock. He apologized and told me to come back tomorrow or anytime before expiration date; As I was walking out, he suddenly stopped me and said I could get any other brand I liked for free, just mentioned his name " Daryl said so" to cashier. I was able to pick other Cottage cheese for replacement. It saved my time and gas for another trip, he really made my day! What a wonderful customer service ! I LOVE the bakery here. The cakes are super cute & professional for fair prices! This strawberry crunch cake was 24.99 & the perfect way to announce that I became a registered nurse. The staff here was super friendly & made the letters on the cake perfect. They have small beautifully decorated cakes starting at 9.99. Their tart cake is to die for!! My husband and i loveddddd it. They take ebt, including for the desserts :) The regular supermarket side may be pricer than your local walmart, but they do rotate deals weekly. The lady at checkout this morning is the reason why I hate coming to the store. I made one decision to do that because it was convenient and I wish I would've went to the Smith's up the street.. the machine yells out loud that I made a mistake. The lady behind me looks in it and decides to help the lady next to me scan everything in her car versus helping me when I'm checking out. Why did you look at mine and then decide to help the lady scan everything under the car and have an attitude when you had to help me. This is why I don't like coming here. it's sad. Average store that is only frequented because of its proximity to the house...employees are hit or miss, some are nice and some are just plain rude....I get that they're probably not extremely happy to work in a grocery store but at least it is a job...every time I come here I end up being overcharged in some way, shape, or form and it is extremely frustrating to have to return to the store to try and iron things out...the prices are a joke, everything is so expensive anymore but moreso at this store...the app is really the only beneficial thing to continue returning but sometimes even the app doesn't give the discounts you download....the store is currently undergoing some renovations and a lot of things are out of place which makes it harder to navigate...I try to only shop here when there are good deals, getting harder by the day, and Friday or weekend specials...otherwise you're better off going to Smiths, thank God the merger didn't go through!!! Just like I wrote in my review of the Von's down the highway at Windmill and Pecos, "this Von's is a pleasure to shop in." Unlike some of the competition where the parking lots are hazardous and the stores are very busy and unkempt, this is relatively a stress free supermarket to visit. At least from my experiences dating back to 2005. It anchors the Strip mall at the southwest corner of Windmill and Bermuda which is one of the less congested areas in the south valley. The parking lot that shares asphalt with Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, China Go Go, 7-Eleven and numerous establishments is a breeze to drive in and rest my car. The supermarket itself has a laid back vibe. This contributes to a stress free environment.     Going back as far as 2005, I have been no stranger to this Von's. As a matter of fact when I joined Yelp in 2011, I reviewed their Starbucks kiosk. Three of the things that brings me here in recent years is that Von's is one of the few retailers in the area where I can pay my automobile lease electronically with Western Union, their Starbucks kiosk, and it is convenient when I am in the vicinity of Windmill and Bermuda.     Since 2005 when the number of my visits has gone up, the number of Von's supermarkets in Southern Nevada has declined significantly. In 2005 there were at least 17 locations where today I count nine. The newest Von's store that opened in the valley was over ten years ago at Horizon and Horizon Ridge. With this observation pointed out, shopping in a Von's today is kind of a nostalgic experience.    Where a stress free shopping environment is Von's strong point, prices are its downfall. If it is not on sale, their prices are generally rediculously high and uncompetitive to Walmart and even Smith's. Here are a few examples. A bag of Goldfish that is $1.98 at Walmart is $2.98 here. A can of can mushrooms that is $1.58 at Walmart is $1.99 here. A can of Progresso soup that is $1.98 at Walmart is $2.98 here. The list goes on. It was so pricey that on my last visit, I was considering taking out from the China Go Go next store. Personally I feel that Von's can alleviate this problem by stocking up on their store brand. I have had their store brand food and can state that they are good. However they seem to be out of stock on some or discontinued others.    The positive thing about their high prices is that it pays for the friendly employees and attractive interior design. The employees from customer service to the stocker in the soup aisle have been friendly. For example, the customer service employee who was on the phone with Western Union fixing a money payment issue was friendly and patient. Another example, when I was on the soup aisle the stocker asked me if I was finding everything, then walked me to the can vegetables in the soup aisle. The cashiers are friendly. Speaking of cashiers, human cashiers exist here. Unlike the Neighborhood Market down Bermuda that has a caged in area of self check outs. If the high prices help pay the salaries of friendly employees, it offsets the negative feeling I get paying the off sale items.     In similar fashion to the majority of Von's outside the urban core, this is a very attractive store. It was recently remodeled. To be honest, it never looked outdated.  The lighting is just right. The aisles are wide which helps with the stress free environment. The layout features both full service and self check outs.The white floor in the grocery aisles and imitation wood floor in the fresh areas appear immaculately clean. This gives me the impression that they sell quality meat, produce, and fresh foods. Within this remodeled supermarket is a Starbuck's kiosk and mini casino.    Serving Las Vegas since 1967, the Windmill at Bermuda Von's has been one of several Las Vegas supermarkets that has served me since 2005. Although, Von's is uncompetitive to several of those supermarkets in pricing, it prevails in the customer service that I have experienced up to this review, along with the stress free and attractive shopping environment. read more

I've never left a review for a grocery store like this before, but walking out today I felt like I needed to! Then checking in and seeing the low stars; I definitely wanted to give them their 5! I have been coming to this location for months and every time I have gone in and come out I am greeted by super friendly employees at the door managing the sanitizing of the carts! "Welcome to Vons, have a great time shopping!" "Thanks for coming in, get home safe!" etc! Just soooo friendly!!!! Today I got this same greeting walking in and the walked past a Manager who greeted me the same way on his way out! This location is usually pretty stocked or in the process of being restocked. Finally a grocery store is carrying UTZ potato chips. Those of us who grew up on the East coast know that they are the best. My fav is sour cream & onion. They're never in the chips aisle and seem to move around the store but I hunt them down. Three years I have been here potato chips less. I wonder if pretzels could be next. On October 1, 2025, my wife and I (we go by Joe and Jo), were shopping at the Vons located at Windmill and Pecos. During our shopping experience we encountered 3 employees of whom we identified as standout employees. Their names are Marshawn, Kim, and Hillary! All 3 stood out because of one thing; Customer Service! They each exuded highly affable personalities which transcended into their work. These employees were a great reflection on the leadership they work for, and on the Von's Corporation itself. And because society itself is very quick to point out the bad, we thought these employees should be recognized for their intangible qualities; thoughtfulness, engaging, friendliness, service, genuine joy, and professionalism. I frequent this store daily. The Starbucks at this location is THE BEST in all of Las Vegas! My drinks are correct every time. Everyone in the store is friendly and calls me by name. Knowing that take out and reservations are amazing, but it gets old eating this way. Checking the fridge there is no fresh anything. Time for grocery shopping. Off to Vons! Vons is my go to store for deli and bakery items. The olive bar that they have inside the store is amazing . They have little containers that you can put your choices in. The different varieties of olives they have are pre-made, but I use them for various dishes. Plus the olives are great just by themselves too! The deli selection of meat and cheese are my favorite among the different grocery chains. The meats are fresh and delicious. The cheese varieties they stock are the best. The different kinds of bread and styles of sandwiches are always fresh and in stock. They sell and usually have in stock rye and sour dough bread that I frequently seek, that other stores do not sell. The selection of pastries and cake slices is extensive here. All of their cakes and pastries are made in-house and taste excellent. It is making my taste buds run wild now, because I brought home a cheese cake; that probably needs eating right now! I love that if you do not trust yourself or if one doesn't need the whole cake; they sell individual slices. They have so many tasty varieties! The twins eat out of the microwave, but here at Vons their brand of frozen items such as rolled tacos, lasagna, or frozen pizza is very high quality. Sometimes I prefer vegan or vegetarian items, the selection here is extensive. So when I come home from a long day; I know the food I'm nuking is at least healthy. Sort of! Vons has realized that their customers are special and to reward us for shopping here they have lowered their prices. Not on everything, but the specials they run will save us some money. If you download their app you can save even more. I have not done this, but the cashier told me about it. The customer service at this Vons is stellar. The cashiers are very pleasant. They handle all of the groceries with care when they are bagging everything. They offer both paper and plastic if one prefers a choice. I bring my own bags, they do not offer discounts for bringing your own bags; but they should. Was an awesome shopping experience, as always. I love Vons and their brand. I have to start by saying although I usually have a good experience here. However, lately an employee parks in a handicap spot. He does have a placard, but this evening he was leaning on the tailgate taking his break. I am a quadriplegic in a power wheelchair and my vehicle requires a handicap spot for my lift to open up. This makes me feel very undervalued as a customer. I live right by this Vons, I go to the pharmacy and it's convenient. Definitely more expensive than Smiths but sometimes we find good deals. It's always extremely clean and well stocked/organized. Employees are usually very helpful and friendly. I will continue shopping here for now but if this continues I'll be forced to find somewhere else where I am more accommodating. Although I like this Vons, this review is solely for the pharmacy: Simply put, 5 stars is not enough. If I could give 10 I definitely would. I've been a customer of this pharmacy for 12 years now and I cant say enough good things. Nowadays, common courtesy isnt so common. And one may think all pharmacies (and pharmacists) are the same. Not true. Everyone who works here is awesome. They are always friendly, helpful, patient in answering questions and explaining how new prescriptions work, and knowledgeable. And although all the employees are wonderful, I have to give a shout-out to a few in particular: Eric--who seems to know more than my doctor and is amazing! Emily--who's always helpful and patient. Hanna--who is always smiling. Lori--who is great at her job and always goes above and beyond. I've been using their curbside pickup for the last 6 months or so and sometimes shop inside the store. The service is so awful and after my experiences from the past 2 weeks, I'm going to start visiting a different location. Last week, I went inside the store and my cashier was gleefully mocking a woman and her service dog. She then went into detail about how she's been trying for months to get this woman kicked out of the store. The service dog was well behaved, tucking itself in next to the owner, not barking or even acknowledging other people. She made several ableist remarks and had a few laughs at the woman's expense. When I called her on it, she tried to blame the customer she was speaking with, as if she was just humoring them, but she made several jokes of her own. I've complained to corporate but only received the canned "thanks for telling us" reply. Last night was the last straw. I wasn't able to pick up my order two nights ago, so I reordered my items and picked them up last night. The person who brought them out snottily asked me if I wanted my other order too, or if he should go ahead and refund it. I let him know I tried to check in for that order this morning, but it wouldn't let me, hence the reorder. When this happened once in the past, I proactively called the store and asked if they could hold my order until the next morning. I was told it was impossible because their system automatically cancels orders not picked up by 8PM so I either had to come get it in the next few minutes or get a refund. The person unloading my groceries last night basically told me that never happened and I just needed to call the store next time and they'd hold my groceries. There won't be a next time. Pickup service Pros - While shopping the site/app, they show your final total after coupons/savings at all times (unlike Smiths) so you know exactly what you're spending. - They shop quickly rather than waiting until right before your pickup time. - You can generally get your order in 2 hours. -They make sensible substitutions and let you know ASAP so you can get a refund if you don't want it. - For every $100 spent, you get 1 Reward Point, redeemable for cash off your purchase or free items. Cons - If there are specials on anything in the meat department that requires counter service, count on the item being "out of stock" on the site and app. When chicken breasts were on sale, they were marked out of stock so I went to the store and, magically, the case was fully stocked. - The same applies at the deli. They will not not get lunch meat from the deli, despite having it available in the app. They won't even substitute for another kind or the pre-sliced packs. They literally told me they were sold out of all deli turkey. Went inside the store and, would you believe it, the deli is fully stocked. - The pickup attendants are usually (9/10 of them) rude and gruff. -Their pickup time ends ridiculously early. You have to arrive before 8PM or your order is canceled. -Once your order is canceled, you don't get your Just4U coupons (the only thing making this store semi-affordable) refunded/reset. read more

He said that watermelon doesn't come seedless (WTH?). The man was just a real sourpuss and made it very clear that he hates his job. Maybe time to retire! I went to market early in the morning (market was empty), so I would hate to encounter him late in the day...when markets are much more busy and hectic. I was waiting at the deli to order some cheese. Another customer was complaining about the world and the employee empathized by saying "what kind of Jew-sh!t is that?" I, a Jewish person, who was previously minding my own business, spoke up and commented that those type of comments were unacceptable and not nice. Went to complain to the manager, I think her name tag said Shift Supervisor - older with blonde curls, she responded like it was a minor inconvenience. Thought a simple "Oh, I'm sorry" was enough. I was stunned. The deli guy thought it was no biggie. The complaining customer thought nothing of it. Manager treated it like I was overcharged a quarter on cereal. I was just a complainer. After being blown off by the first manager, I was over it - she aggravated me just as much as the bigot deli guy with her nonchalant attitude. I was not about to spend my time teaching the blind to see, so, my dad, who is an old man, pursued it with Kelly, the actual store manager. She said there would be disciplinary action and required sensitivity training. A much more appropriate response from management. Hopefully, those things actually happened. Still - one star for the whole store because of this experience. It's 2019 - they taught us 35 years ago that racist slights were not cool. Kermit the Frog singing "It's Not Easy Being Green." Are they not capable of making the schedule where they can keep the pharmacy open. On their half an hour break they should go clean the bathrooms. I normally buy meat from Whole Foods or a local butcher. However, there are times I stop here and grab a few things. This is is the second container of liver opened from this purchase. Both had this green substance inside. I called the store and the butchers don't seem to have an explanation. it's obviously not edible. I have prepared and cooked liver for years and never seen this. Both containers were frozen and thawed in the fridge overnight. I also purchased stuffed salmon fillets this same purchase, which also spoiled by day 2 in the refrigerator. NO Good read more

As I was contemplating what to purchase, Erika approached me and asked if I needed assistance. I told her I was just looking. She then asked, let me ask you, do use the Vons app? I let her know that I didn't because I was just lazy and didn't want to put in the effort. We both had a laugh and then she asked me to pull it up on my phone. She wanted to help show me all that the Vons app had to offer. After about 10 minutes of taking her time to show me the ins and outs, I was so appreciative of her spending those minutes with me to help me understand how the app would make my life easier. Not like anybody will ever bother reading this, but I have to say this deli has disappointed me at least a half dozen times now, yet for some reason I keep coming back hoping it will improve!!! I normally don't complain but my brother's experience was so horrible at this Von's. About an hour ago or less, he was in line to pay. It was a long line and there were about 8 people ahead of him. When it was his turn, the cashier told him to go to another line. When my brother asked why he just kept on telling my brother to go to another line over and over. My brother said I just want to know why and he just kept on saying go to another cashier very disrespectfully. This went on until my brother said, "What is it? Are you a racist?" to which the cashier replied, "Yes, I'm a racist. Go to another line!" Can someone please explain how this behavior is acceptable? And how someone whose job is to provide customer service is allowed to work there? We have been very loyal Vons customers but we are all so shaken by this. We are afraid to go back. read more

Vons, Safeway, Pavilions...they're all the same right? Nope! This Vons was right across the street from Bachi Burger (where I broke my fast the first night we got to Vegas for the 2012 Olympia Expo & Show). This store is quite large and fully stocked with tons of produce. Nothing seemed out of place. The staff here keeps everything organized and clean which is a major plus. I just had the BEST experience you could imagine with this pharmacy! Eric and Hanna C helped me with my prescription, there were issues with the amount that was due/wrong prescription submitted through the optometrist I saw.. well they took care of EVERYTHING! Eric called the doctor himself and resolved the issue right then and there and I was out of there with my prescription for 1/4 of the price that was originally due, in 15 minutes. If you're looking for a pharmacy that genuinely cares about you, look no further! 10/10 customer service, so friend and SO helpful read more

I certainly didn't drive all the way to Las Vegas to check out a Vons. Although that assertion was made, it just so happened that I was across the street having amazing burgers and fries and decided to pop in to grab a few on-the-road items. I've been a fan of Vons stores. I even have a Vons card, despite that fact that they don't have one here in my hometown. And this one was like so many others. A little touch of fancy, a large assortment of groceries, a nice bakery. Everything you'd hope for in a grocery store. But then... I stopped into the restroom, and that's where it came to a screeching halt. That bathroom was really, really rough. Besides the fact that it was filthy, it was just kinda ghetto. The walls and floor were okay, but what's with the minty green door that was last painted in the '70s? It's like they remodeled the place and left it there on accident. How important is the bathroom in the overall scheme of things when rating a grocery store? Probably not that important. So your shopping experience will probably go unaffected. But get a mop in there and tidy up, wouldya? read more
