Seasoned pretzels from Von Hanson's. Larger container & lower price than at your local brewery.
Lisa L.

You know when you go to local breweries and you buy those tasty seasoned pretzels? Well, I was craving them one night and learned that they sell them at Von Hanson's so away I went. They sell those flavored snacks in a larger container for a lower price so I stocked up I can pack them along to my next brewery adventure. As it was my very first in a Von Hanson's I strolled around to see what else they had to offer. While I did not purchase anything else that day I did see multiple delicious looking items that I am pretty sure I will be back to try. Customer service was top notch and served with a sincere smile. While my pretzels and I did not require carry out service I did witness the another customer receiving assistance with their order to the car is please keep that in mind. Please check them out and grab a container (or two) of those seasoned pretzels!

The brats are the best. Cant go wrong with any flavor. I have always liked the wild rice one- although Im not sure if they stopped making it or if its just seasonal. The breakfast burrito is also amazing. They have cry baby craigs hot sauce- if you know you know.

They have a deli, vast meat selection, and hot food to order! They also have lunch specials so there's really never a bad time to come. Everyone who works here is so friendly, willing to offer help, suggestions, and food pairings. There is a small seating area inside but tables available on the front porch as well! Every visit here for us is a treat, but there are a few items that are consistently at the top of our list. I am absolutely obsessed with their pickle roll-up pasta salad. It's uniquely delicious and has that perfect tangy, savory balance that keeps me coming back for more. Their honey dill smoked salmon is another personal favorite; it's incredibly tender with a beautiful smoky flavor and just the right hint of sweet honey and dill. My husband is equally in love with their maple glaze smoked salmon - it's sweet, rich, and perfectly smoked. And for a quick, satisfying snack, his go-to is always their turkey jerky, which is packed with flavor. Beyond the specialty items, their fresh meats are simply unmatched! We've bought many of their steaks, and they are consistently fantastic (highly recommend their NY strips and tomahawks when you feel fancy). No matter how we grill them, they always turn out incredibly moist and juicy. But the real star in the grilling department I think might just be their brats. Seriously, the casing on these brats is perfection - it crisps up beautifully on the grill, creating that satisfying snap with every bite. I've tried brats from so many places, and none come close to the crispiness and flavor of theirs. The quality, flavor, and unique selection here truly make it a standout. This isn't just a butcher shop; it's honestly a culinary destination! A definite must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-notch meats and delicious prepared foods.

It's gives off a modern whiskey house/southern rustic vibe. Plenty of indoor seating and a cute patio with an indoor/outdoor bar top. I have eaten here 3 times in the past few months and my experience has been the same each time, wonderful! My two favorite meals are the Smoked Chicken Wings and The Pile sandwich. The chicken wings: I'm the type to always sauce up any wing I get. Pig Stuff's wings will come out dry rubbed with your sauce in the side. At first I was hesitant but now I know why! Their dry rub is fantastic! The flavors are Smokey, savory, and salty - easily eaten on their own. The meat is very juicy and falls off of the bone! (8.5/10) The Pile: this is a sandwich consisting of brisket, pulled pork, Mac & cheese, and coleslaw. It's a monster of a sandwich and could definitely make a mess but OMG it is tasty! The sandwich comes with BQQ sauce, but who needs it when you have the juiciness of the pork, smokiness of the brisket, creaminess of the Mac & cheese, and the tang of coleslaw! It's almost hard not to finish this sandwich. (9/10) Another favorite are their fries. Fresh, crispy, and well seasoned. You can also get them as garlic parm fries where they drizzle their wing sauce across the top - YUM. (8/10) Lastly, the service here has always been impeccable. You're greeted with a smile by everyone. I have yet to meet a server or bartender that wasnt engaging. Looking forward to coming back around!

The prices are higher than I'd expect: $4 for a tray holding maybe a pound and a half of tomatoes - not special heirloom varieties, but just regular beefsteak, roma or cherry tomatoes. Some tables offered herbicide/pesticide free produce (but is that even noteworthy these days?). This is so small it's more of a farmstand than a farmers' market, but it's still nice to browse if you're into that kind of thing. There was one meat purveyor, one stand for Great Harvest Bread Co. in Minnetonka that handed out delicious and massive samples of bread (that suckered me into some impulse buying) and a stand with homemade soaps. Everyone else sold produce. No array of crafts, jewelry and clothes at this market. The other nice thing is that the produce appeared to be truly locally-grown produce (in contrast to the pineapple vendors at the downtown Minneapolis market). I do know that Mike's Sweet Corn is grown just a mile or so away. It's fun to visit, but I wouldn't count on buying any serious veggies here.
