I have been shopping at Coopers since 2006. I dropped a bottle of Coke while putting some in my cart (did not break but a small amount came out from the cap as it was shaken up). I picked up the bottle and looked for an employee to inform them of what happened. A man who works there starts walking toward me and as I try to apologize for the accident he starts screaming. i reached out to them to let them know of my experience but did not hear back. My family and I will never go there again, and I would not recommend it. read more

This is a good small grocery store - very convenient for those who live and/or work in downtown Chaska. They don't have the biggest selection but you can find all of the necessities and then some. Nice collection of Hispanic food items (guava juice!). Prices are not that far off from the big box stores and they have some great sales. My only gripe is that you have to check the produce carefully. I've become wary of buying some stuff because I've been burned by too many bad cartons of strawberries and raspberries. Overall, this grocery store is a huge asset to downtown Chaska. I'd hate to have to run up the hill to SuperTarget or Rainbow for everything. read more

Poor store. It is unfortunate that this place seems to be failing. But it has to do with lack of effort and a staff that could care less. Staff is not knowledgeable. The food is almost always close to expiration or is expired. Produce is bad. Look closely. I wouldn't dare eat from the deli. Ask them to show you an exact date label on their prepared food. Go ahead ask. It is against regulations to not label and date prepared food.. On the actual container! But this way they can sell you old food. They are selling expired meat! Yuck! Prices are not great. It will be sad to see this store close. But they can only blame themselves for not caring and not trying to keep up with the times changes. I stop in this store whenever I'm in Chaska- I love the small town feel that you get when speaking with the employees or when talking with the owners, Gary and Sandy. They, obviously, care a great deal about customer service and treat there customers with warmth and friendliness. You can tell that this store has been a decades long asset to this community and , hopefully, the people of Chaska and surrounding area will realize the gem they have in this local business. It's slowly but surely accumulating organic foods! it's a major step in the right direction! The staff on site most of them have worked there for many years. They're a 24 hour store which is a HUGE plus! it's always nice to have at least one around an area. The other reviewers who are expressing their disgust are most probably the customers who come in to create problems and often steal from coopers. I've seen it and it's just a despicable thing to do. The people who work here are friendly and professional. All said, Coopers is always improving, I'm proud to have coopers in our community! read more

I've lived near Cooper's for 16 years. I have shopped there on and off during this time but usually only for a few items that I have run out of and needed. The reason I didn't go there for my major shopping was because the store unfortunately appeared to be barely hanging on by a thread. This resulted in not the freshest of produce and meat products and some items that were expired. The prices are higher than the big stores by a little and yet you can find some bargains there too and they do offer a 5% discount on Wednesdays. So now, the good news! I have noticed an increase in the amount of shoppers there lately. I have also noticed that the produce is so much better! I have bought some meat there and haven't been disappointed at all. I hope this is a lasting phenomenon for Cooper's as I do so love having them nearby. I think with the increase in revenue that we will see a bit of a face lift to the interior eventually but for now I'm just happy to have a place to go downtown without having to drive up to Target or Cub! I also am so much happier supporting a local store rather than the Big Box ones. I have done all my grocery shopping there for the past 2 months now and have been very pleased with everything. read more
