About the location itself, I immediately was aware of how friendly and attentive all the people there seemed to be. The facility itself is attractive, full of light, and has a very positive vibe to it. About the therapy, my therapist knew more about the anatomy and movement of the knee and surrounding areas than I could imagine. He performed a series of massages, movements, exercises, and other treatments explaining at each step what it was meant to accomplish. He was very clear about how to approach the rehab process and answered every question I had. He also laid out a carefully thought out home exercise program that I followed fully. My recovery has progressed very well and exceeded expectations. It has been an excellent experience and I highly recommend VTFC and Larry Grine as a PT.

I know the Office Manager and therapist spend time getting this all approved. I'd like to especially thanks my current therapist Brita who has been patiently working on my knee and back issues for several months off and on . She took over my case when my insurance Cigna became difficult on who was allowed to provide therapy. So she is qualified. Regardless of how busy she is, never fails to greet you cheerfully, checks to see how you are feeling and listens to any specific issues and works on them. She provided tips for homework and very easy finish instructions for exercises. Also no matter how busy she watches each of her patients and makes sure exercises are being done properly and heat and ice are provided. And never fails to say goodbye . I definitely leave better than when I arrive I can definitely recommend this facility and Brita in particular. Located in Reston off of Fox Mill. Very convenient parking. The physical therapy staff is great. The office staff is completely incompetent and will screw you…read moreover. They do not keep track of how many visits you are at, so expect to have to keep track of that yourself (even though the standard at every other place I've gone is that the office staff do this). They notified me that I was over my limit after I had already gone several visits past my limit and instead of charging me the self-pay rate for the non-covered visits, they are charging me the full rate they send to my insurance company. Note, NOT the lower amount they actually accept my insurance company, but the amount that is about 3 times higher. I would not be at all surprised if they intentionally let patients go over the limit so they can make money back by charging them these outrageous prices they can't get from insurance companies. I switched to a much more organized and professionally run clinic and I only regret that I didn't switch sooner after the office staff messed up 3 appointment times.

I ultimately decided to continue care with and in-network provider but getting records from VSI was a pain. They have an online patient portal with mostly empty tabs. I called to request my xrays and they can't upload them so I requested a CD to pickup. The CD wasn't ready when they said it would be and I had to wait 15 min for it. For my original appointment most of the few bins of snacks for patients were empty. Not a big deal, but shows poor management. I used them years ago and had a good experience, which is why I went back, but my opinion has changed

Dr. Bharara gave me a clear diagnosis after years of me searching for answers. He gave me a treatment plan and PRP injections at VSI have been very effective for treating my injury. Dr. Bharara is also incredibly kind and knows how to listen to his patients. I originally went to another doctor at VSI who wasn't able to help my situation, but he knew to direct me to his colleague and for that I am so thankful. VSI is incredibly competent. She is truly amazing, and helped me tremendously without having to depend on medications. She was always on time, prepared, thorough, hands-on, and recorded everything so that treatment was targeted. My progress was remarkable and I credit her as well as my commitment to doing the exercises on my own. Normally, the center is a calm, fairly quiet place to work out. I was there only once in eight visits when it was heavily booked, but still they did have enough therapists. The equipment is good, the parking is ample, and there are a couple of places in the strip to get a beverage or a snack afterwards. I have a few other things to work on, and I will definitely go back to this facility in the future as well as refer others.

I visited for an acute hand injury and the office verified my insurance before the appointment, but no one informed me that a PCP referral was required for coverage. After the visit, the claim was denied and I was left with a $520 bill that was eventually sent to collections, forcing me to go through months of appeals with my insurer and even the Virginia Bureau of Insurance. During that process it became clear that the claim was submitted as a specialist office visit and not coded as urgent care, even though the visit was for an acute injury. The state review indicated the provider could submit a corrected claim for reconsideration, but the billing office never corrected or resubmitted it. This entire situation could have been avoided with basic communication or proper billing follow-up. If I had been informed upfront that a referral was required, I would have simply obtained one. Patients should not have to deal with collections and regulatory appeals because of administrative oversights and lack of transparency.
