Big change since my last review. The awful interim manager is gone and a previous manager, Yitzel, is back. She has gathered an awesome staff in the office: Lucia, TJ and Yacxira are excellent with the customers and always available to answer questions and help us older residents with problems with the app and other stuff. The maintenance staff is is doing a great job and the complex is looking much better. It is amazing how much of a difference a good manager makes. The only negative is that when the interim manager was here she took away the chairs from a nice shady spot where residents would gather and talk and she also took away the chairs from the dog park. I think she hated people relaxing while she had to work.... : ) read more

I would like to update the review I posted this past Friday, June 26th. Today, Monday, June 30th, I walked into the Volare leasing office extremely frustrated because my washer had not been fixed on Friday or over the weekend. I did not recognize the staff in the office, but I proceeded to express my frustration about the ongoing delay and how tired I was of waiting. The ladies at the leasing office calmly informed me that it was their first day working there and that they had no prior knowledge of my situation. Their supervisor, whom I also did not recognize, politely asked me to lower my voice and explained that it was her first day as well. She assured me that she just wanted to help. Despite this, I did not calm down and ended up storming out of the office. About 30 minutes later, I received a phone call from the new supervisor, who apologized once again for the poor experience I had with the prior staff and informed me that my issue was being resolved, exceeding my expectations. This was the first time anyone from the leasing office had followed up with me and provided a clear status on my maintenance request. I would like to sincerely thank these amazing ladies by name: Itzel, Lisa, and Nae. They remained professional even when I did not, apologized for issues they were not responsible for, and most importantly, made me feel heard and taken care of. *sigh* here we go again. Things have gotten worse 1. Had an Amazon package stolen from outside my front door. Contacted the front office and was told to just specify in my delivery instructions to deliver it to the office or lockers (I already have my instructions set to that). Then was told "There's nothing we can do, you can contact Metro." I understand porch pirates are a problem even in nice areas, but this on top of all the other crap is really infuriating. 2. Constantly dirty surroundings, CONSTANT. The stairs and hallways always smell like dog poop/urine. The elevator often has mysterious sticky spills and stains on the floor and occasionally will be cleaned but usually after many days of it looking and smelling like a dirty bathroom. People let their dogs poop everywhere, and sure office staff may act like they care when you contact them to tell them the rocks in front of your assigned parking (that you pay an extra $25 a month for) are so stinky from dog poop that it makes you want to hurl, but yet nothing is being done. 3. Terrible phone reception! Why are we paying $2k+ and we can't make successful phone calls in our homes because the people we call cannot hear us?! I have contacted my carrier, I've changed devices, and interestingly, I STILL have the problem, and only in my unit and not when I'm out and about in other areas of town. Safe to say it's not my phone or carrier that is the problem. Not saying this is something Volare can control because there's a LOT of people packed into this small part of SoHibut thought this was important to note- because if you really need to work from home or use your cellphone in your unit- you probably need to get a lined connection like we're in the early 2000s. *sigh* okay, rant over. The few nice things about this place are some of the staff is nice and they do cute lil things for the residents like when Santa Clause came for the holidays, and I do love my unit but, I'm absolutely planning to leave when my lease is up. Customer service is extremely poor. I renewed my lease, however, I was assessed a month to month charge. The lease agreement was for $1461, however, the month to month charge was $3,392. The lease doesn't specify how much the month to month amount will be, they just assess any amount they feel like, which $3392 for a one bedroom under 700 sq feet is predatory in my opinion and no where close to market rent. Even though the agreement was signed, I needed to contact the office to manually make the adjustment back down to $1461. Keep in mind, the cable bill and utilities added another $200 to that amount, when I was advised that typical charges for utilities were around $50 a month. Once they manually made the adjustment, which took a few to days to adjust, I made the full payment on the 5th, 1 day late. However, the amount wasn't adjusted until the 3rd and the amount was still incorrect when I viewed it on the 4th. I went back into the system a month later and it reflected a late fee of $242. They insisted that the late fee was based on the month to month amount which was generated on the 1st of the month, however, the system didn't reflect a late fee until after I made my payment. What doesn't make sense is if the late fee was assessed as of the 1st, why didn't it reflect that on the amount due. If the amount due was corrected on the 3rd, why was I assessed a late fee $242, which is the month to month late fee. That means the system wasn't adjusted to reflect the correct amount. There was obvious miscommunication and an error on their part in regards to the amount due, but no courtesy was given to waive any late charges. Esme the branch manager didn't provide any assistance or clarification and she was extremely rude saying that it was a courtesy that they didn't charge me the month to month amount even though the lease was signed. Furthermore, it took them over a month to address not having hot water in my washing machine. Dogs urinate in the hallways and it smells like piss. The place looks nice on the outside since it was recently painted, however, that doesn't reflect on the service you will receive once your a tenant. I don't recommend leasing with them, I will not be renewing next year. read more

My experience at volare has been horrible from start to finish I'm definitely not renewing my lease . To start off I was not given the right unit/model on my move in day I had toured and picked it out and Kayla was my leasing agent .. Luckily I had extra time to move out my other place , but if i didn't I would have been screwed all for their mistake, I wanted to remain and stay positive even though it was a horrible start of my experience because my move in plans where completely ruined .... . I'm almost done with my 12 month lease and the pet poop/ pee here specially in my building (5) has ALWAYS been an issue . No matter where I look residents/staff don't clean or take care of the building it's smells like pee everywhere all the time it's embarrassing. I'm almost out of this place anyway, but they decided to pick me and charge me 150$ pet fee for not picking up after my pet??? (Because one of their workers saw me ?) When I'm one of the only few people in this building who do clean after their pets , it's the easiest thing in the world to do and I will never understand why some people don't , I even buy my own pet bags because they DO NOT provide them, I burly see any I'm not the type of person to write reviews and I always try to remain positive but this was the last straw for me. I should have said all this when the lady in the office said "oh, why did you decide to not renew with us ?" There you go Horrible experience Don't waste your time here . read more

I loved living here for the first 2 months. It was quiet, peaceful, and it's a great neighborhood. Things have just gone downhill from there. There's a constant smell of marijuana, it's messy, the management team is unreliable, etc. The "heated" pool wasn't heated all winter, and when your ac is out, they'll have you wait a few days until they fix it. They're not the nicest people to work with and I definitely will not be renewing my lease. read more

I'm not one to leave reviews- ever. This time was different. Kayla and Emily today were absolute rockstars (Wayne is amazing too, but it was his day off) throughout all the frustration for the last week or so of the new technology that rolled out and different apps to use them for. They tag teamed helping me out and sat with me until everything was situated within my account. With every apartment complex, comes complexities, they handled it with poise and grace, compassion and patience. Can't thank them enough! I left feeling a huge weight off my shoulders. Not to mention the apartments are stunning. Thank you again to Kayla and Emily (Wayne too!) I will say- cleanliness around/ my building in specific can be better that's why I'm giving 4/5 but that's a maintenance/ownership responsibility but overall fabulous experience from front desk read more

Absolutely the most horrible place I've ever lived! Where do I even start....,, office staff are the biggest you know what's ever!!! They change staff & keep gettin worse!! They're so fake friendly & literally after u hand over ur $1,000's of dollars they switch up on u & give u attitude. Every neighbor or sum1 I talked to at the pool all say the same thing, almost no one renews their lease, they just want outta there. They charge for pest control but don't spray outside the Apts, they said they only spray at the pool, so how much $$ do they get every month from residents just to go to a quick spray at the pool, they're pocketing tons of $$. My neighbors in other buildings had horrible roach problems. Pools are always closed, they always are doing work on them but wait every year to do it at summer when they had 3 other whole seasons to do the work. They don't even have a pool co that comes & cleans (probably why the dept of health closes them down) Everything is broke, empty or dirty in the pool bathrooms, I've been several times & there's no t.p. I'm so happy I'm outta there!!!!!!! read more

To get into my apartment I'm constantly hoping over dog feces, and garbage. If you go to building five where I am in the community, you will notice that there is trash everywhere, inconsiderate neighbors, trash, their porches, where it can easily be seen by people walking by. It just doesn't look very nice. It looks like a section 8 community. I've lived here almost 10 years, and I am moving, it's going down the drain. The front office is absolutely terrible very rude.I've been asking for help with my lease for over 60 days, and they haven't gotten back to me. I'm so ashamed of where I live. It's dirty, and unsafe. My neighbor, and myself recently had our cars almost stolen here. They have no real security. The gate is pretty much always open. Save yourself the stress, and do not move here. They want to get you locked into a lease, and then after that they could care less about you. When I first moved here 9 years ago the community was amazing it's sad to see it go to this. Make sure to look at the back buildings when you're on a tour. They keep the front clean to reel people in, but if you go in the back by building 5 you can see what I'm talking about clearly. I attached photos of the overflowing poop the grounds keepers continue to quit because they can't even deal with this community. To get to my house I have to hop over dog food, and feces that neighbors have left on the stairs. When I have guests over I try to tell them to just focus on me, and not pay too much attention to all the garbage, and dog feces. It's very embarrassing. read more

Leaving after about 3 years. Nice enough place but the quality of tenant has declined and complex damage has risen. Pools are out of commission a lot apparently due to tenant misuse. Maintenance is awesome and are on top of trash but there's only so much they can do. two words,, security cameras. ; ) Otherwise its apartment living. Comes with its issues. P.S. Totally agree with Ryans noise between floors assessment. if the downstairs neighbor lets his door slam my whole floor shakes.. and the upstairs girl never sits down.. constant clopping about. ; ) read more

I am very happy that I found Volare Apartments! I needed to QUICKLY find a 3 month lease that would allow dogs. I am moving from out of state and waiting on a new home being finished in the Las Vegas area. Without the incredibly warm, friendly, understanding and highly professional and efficient leasing staff I would not have been able to do it! Kudos to Liliana, Echo, and Esmeralda After living here for 2 weeks I am very happy with everything here at Volare. The grounds are secure and beautiful. I enjoy taking my little doggo on his 3 times a day walks. It really feels like I'm walking around a mini neighborhood and not an apartment complex. Management supplies numerous doggie waste stations with a never ending supply of doggie poo bags! That in itself is amazing! I am really enjoying my stay here at Volare and as a new to apartment living resident I am so very pleasantly surprised! read more

I have been a resident at Volare for years. This is a delightfully quiet and respectful community, my fellow residents are warm and friendly, and the level of value I experience living here is unmatched. When I return home, I feel genuinely happy. All staff members have always been warm and genuinely have shown me that they want to provide the sort of experience demanded from a resort. None of my many prior rental experiences come close to the bar that Volare sets. read more

Good: Great management, quick and effective maintenance, extremely good pest control. The pools are beautiful, the fire pit is cool, the volleyball court is nice. Neighbors are relatively friendly, great highway access to the entire south side of the city. I can get to Summerlin in 15 minutes, I can get to Henderson in 15 minutes, I can get to the strip in 15 minutes, and you're about as close to LA as you're gonna get in Vegas. It's great. Bad: I've seen rent go from $1035 to $1350 in three years for a one bedroom apartment with no garage. I know this is a nice place to live, but those prices are good townhome to even older single family home territory, and nobody likes 10% year over year rent hikes. Except maybe the giant real estate company that own this place - those people are too greedy for their own good. Also - all bills are unbundled. YOU are paying for: electric, gas, hot water, cold water, garbage, an electronic billing fee, trash, sewer, and mandatory cable. So expect your monthly bill to be your rent + $250. The gate also has trouble opening in high wind and may snap close and hit your car... So be careful with that. Fun facts: sometimes one of the neighbors took their dog out in the hall to pee right next to the entrance of the hallway, so that was always a nasty smell. I should've told someone about that one. Also if you have an apartment that faces one of those awkward indoor gardens, you'll have the joy of hearing one of your 24 neighbors having a loud house party at 1am every other week on a work night. Besides that, upstairs neighbors frequently disturbed my sleep - the insulation between different floors is really bad, and there's lots of rattling and shaking when people just do normal people things. Curiously - I could also hear when my upstairs neighbor opened up a tap to the bathtub, directly above my bedroom, and of course late at night. Overall, probably the nicest apartment I've ever lived at despite everything. read more

I was late on rent one day. They made me pay $85 late fee and then posted $75 legal fee on top of it. I wish they cleaned hallways as fast as they come up with extra fees - its embarassing to bring friends over. Also maybe learn how to fix issue with noisy neighbors as efficient as charging me TWO fees. read more

The main pool is often out of commission and most of the ladies in the rental office are rude! The front gates have been open for months with no email explaining why. Very dark at night, most of the lights designed to illuminate the complex have been burned out for the four years I've lived here. I could go on but I have better things to do...these folks have no shame! read more

I typically don't write reviews but when it comes to a company advertising their business as a professionally managed luxury community this is far from that....place is extremely dirty and poorly managed. I received a disturbing call from the Property Manager Yitzel who neglected to return my call after several request made to her office staff regarding a refund that is owed to me. She proceeded to provide nothing but excuses and disregarded the fact that she had been purposely avoiding my calls stating they are extremely short staff as a result of me not receiving a call back from anyone out of that office. No accountability taken for her actions at the Property Manager or the actions of her team. Check out Prosper 89 or Ariva Apartments if you are looking for luxury. The staff there actually cares about their future and current residents. Its really sad to see how much the industry has changed over the years to where we just employ anyone in leadership roles who clearly lack leadership skills. We have family who live in a freestanding townhouse in Volare. Amazing complex! Full gym, concierge services, volleyball, and swimming pools. My aunt's home is beautiful with hardwood flooring and stainless appliances. It's very quiet and fronts a residential side street. read more

If you are looking for a gated community don't move here. The gate has been broken for over a month. This is one of the reasons me and my girlfriend moved here. The downstairs neighbors are noisy as hell! Constant fighting with endless door slamming. We can not wait to move out. I am so over this place. read more

I stay at the Volare and I made a really stupid mistake. I left my keys somewhere and was locked out of my apartment. Lucky for me the maintanence guy AZ drove 45 minutes to help me get in the apartment and keep me from staying the night in the car. AZ was incredibly generous in what he did taking an hour plus out of his day and he deserves the best. read more

The review after mines focuses on the interior, which is beautiful. It's the people in the front office that need some additional customer service training. I'm speaking from my personal experience, not just the experience of relatives upgrades. The front office just called my husband and was rude. Really think twice before moving here. Don't allow the pretty inside to fool you. We haven't moved in good and we're experiencing these things. read more
