History

Established in 1996.

I started this studio as a result from seeking a different, more healthy approach to singing. I was still having problems with my own voice after years of training, and needed to find a different way. As soon as I found the SLS, now IVA technique, I noticed a huge difference in my own singing, as well as with my students.

Meet the Business Owner: Laurie W.

I am the owner and voice teacher at the Vocal Edge Voice Studio! I have over 30 years teaching experience. I work with singers of every age, genre and I teach beginners - professionals. I teach in person and internationally via Skype. I have two studios, one in Hutto and the other on the Georgetown Square. I have a Bachelor of Music Degree with an all level teaching certificate from Southwest Texas State University, 1987, (now Texas State University). I was a Speech Level Singing Certified teacher but transitioned to the Institute of Vocal Advancement several years ago. I am now an IVA Advanced Teacher, Area Rep for the State of Texas and International Vocal Trainer. I am also a Music Executive with PCG Universal, a Nashville based Artist Development Company. I specialize in balancing voices which can be adapted to sing any style of music. Singers will overcome bad habits, sing with power & ease throughout their range, creating a professional sound that lasts a lifetime.
