We couldn't go in to the classroom at the time because of COVID so the teacher brought a walkie talkie as we went around the building so he could talk to his other teacher and the kids in the classroom. After that my son INSISTED on going to Lionheart. He went there for about two years and what a different this school made on his view of school. My son blossomed at this school. He loved his teachers and all the front staff. I can't say enough good things about Lionheart. As we left on his final day, one of the ladies at the front desk called after him and said "don't you ever lose that imagination if yours Gunnar!"

I said ok can you tell me if you require staff to be vaccinated and they said that was private info. This is not private when you speak to other daycares. I said I'm not sure why I would enroll if you can't share this, they laughed and said ok then and hung up. The oddest encounter I ever had for a daycare. I looked around for a place that did children's art classes, not just something that did projects, but that taught the fundamentals of art to kiddos. Luckily, I found Art+ Academy and it has been great! I have a very happy kiddo now since she has her real art classes. Here's the scoop: 1. Small class sizes. They monitor how many kids are in each class to make sure the student to teacher ratio is always low. The kid's all learn from each other, as well as get a lot of individual guidance to help their skills develop. 2. Classes for kids are separated into small age groups to keep the learn levels on the same playing field. The classes range from 4-5, 5-7, 7-9, and 9-12. It's nice that 12 year olds don't have to be with the 5 year olds. Peer groups help everyone learn better and faster. 3. They also do teen and adult classes, so really anyone and every can take classes if they are interested in them. 4. The teachers, at least the ones I have met, seem to really care about the students. They offer help and guidance, but still let each student do their own artistic styles. They really want each person to believe in their own artistic abilities. 5. The price seems very reasonable for the quality of the classes. If you or know someone who is interested in art classes, I highly recommend Art + Academy.

I really only have a problem with my daughters specific class. I ended up having to enroll my 5…read moreyear old in another program at another gym. I couldn't get her in with a coach that actually would teach her. She was just running basically an obstacle course by herself with no instruction. After 5 months in class, she hadn't learned anything new, so I taught her how to do a cartwheel in our living room in 15 mins. That's when I knew I had to do better by my daughter. The younger program is GREAT if you just want to wear your child down, but my girl was very disappointed she wasn't learning anything. We love the kids night outs and camps, but as far as actual gymnastics for 4-5 yr olds, meh.
