I have asked their service/sales reps REPEATEDLY to stop knocking on my door. I have a phone I'll call them if I have an issue with my service. Actually, I may call to cancel since they can't seem to follow a simple request and keep coming back to try to get us to add more services/upgrade. Oh, and their doorbell camera quality is great .

My zmodo camera that is only 1080p. You can clearly see the palm bush with its individual leaf tips. The picture is nice and clear.

A soliciting salesman came to my house and told me all about Vivint. I currently didnt have a security system, but I had security cameras made by funlux/zomodo, 12 of them around and inside my house. I use the funlux/zomodo app to monitor these cameras and pay around $40 a month for a 7-day cloud storage for each camera. I'm very happy with my cameras and wasn't looking to replace them but I was interested in other security features such as an alarm, glass break, and the tracking spotlights. The salesman preached the POE aspect of their system and emphasized it's not Wi-Fi at all. When the tech comes to install, I found out it's POE with a Wi-Fi bridge. The salesman preached about the quality and clarity of the camera being 4K. My zomodo cameras are only 1080p high def and we're a much better picture than vivint's 4K cameras. I will attach pictures to prove this case. I only signed up for a glass break, inside motion detector, doorbell camera and two spotlight cameras with active tracking via spotlight. The spotlight was terrible. It didn't track anything, it would light up and then just track to one direction and stay there. When an event would happen under these cameras and the doorbell camera, I was unable to load events at all because the hub had a bad connection to the AT&t cell phone tower. It always had a bad connection over the course of days that I had it until the day it got uninstalled which was today. When you try to watch anything live, if there is a person in the video it will start buffering to where you can't even watch it live. The system for me overall was terrible. A lot of these issues that I mention above could have been fixed if they would have installed a complete POE system or an alternative option would be to make sure that they're AT&t cell phone tower connection to the hub was a good or better connection. A complete POE system is a system that is completely hardwired. A POE system with a Wi-Fi bridge is not a real POE system. As I said a lot of the problems I mentioned above could have been fixed if the hub had a better Wi-Fi bridge connection to the AT&t tower. Some of those problems could be a better picture in the camera. I'm not saying the camera isn't capable of a 4K picture, in my case it wasn't even 1080p high definition because the Wi-Fi bridge connection was so bad. That picture can get a lot clearer with a much better signal. I would have been able to load events as well if the Wi-Fi bridge connection was better than bad. I will attach a picture showing the AT&t connection was bad. Vivint needs to make sure that their signal with AT&t and Verizon towers are compatible before they even try to sign someone into a contract. I live in Florida, per my contract I had 3 days to cancel via written notice. The system was installed on a Saturday and I had a letter printed out and mailed out priority Express at the post office at 8:30 Monday morning. The contract specified that it had to be postmarked before the end of the third business day. I made sure I had that taken care of on the first business day. I did not waste my time calling Vivint to try to let them come fix things because I had only 3 days. Not to mention, the tech that did the professional install did not ensure I had a fully functional finished product when he came and installed it. In my opinion Vivint had their chance to make sure I was a happy customer the first time. After I mailed out the cancellation notice, I did call Vivint that same day to set up the cancellation as well, the customer service did not hear a word I said and only kept trying to schedule an appointment for late in the week or the next week to have someone come out and fix it which was past the cancellation date per the contract. These people know what they're doing and do not care about locking people into contracts when their systems are not suitable for the customers needs whatsoever. After I continue to tell them no to scheduling a tech to come out and fix the issues, I was told that once they get the letter someone will contact me. I got a text to schedule a system pull to move forward in the cancellation process. I had to check out within a couple days of that text to do the uninstall. This would have cost me $122 a month. The $4,000 for the equipment, The equipment is not worth $4,000 and is greatly overpriced. Only the purchaser can put value on the equipment per the peace of mind it would give them if it's fully functional and does what it's supposed to do. Make sure you look at the pictures below. I clearly marked vivint's cameras and zmodo cameras near the bottom left of each picture. I thought that a company like this would make sure that the product your purchasing is at least stable and somewhat functional before the tech leaves from the installation. I guess I thought wrong.

We previously had a home security system with Monitronics which changed their name to Moni and now has changed to Brinks. The transition to Brinks appears to be less than smooth. Rather than updating our existing account they started a new account which meant we had to also make sure the old account was gone so they wouldn't bill us for both accounts. We got the system on a house that is not our primary residence. Because of that we needed to make sure the equipment was sent to the house when we would be there. We arranged for it to arrive on a Monday. When that Monday came we received notification that the equipment shipped and would arrive Thursday. That didn't work since we had an installer coming on Wednesday. After receiving the run-around for awhile we finally got someone who knew what they were doing and recognized Brinks had messed up and overnighted us the equipment so we could get it installed on Wednesday. Our installer, John Morales, was exceptional. He came early because his earlier job didn't show. He called first to make sure coming early was ok. He installed the panel, deftly troubleshooted a problem, and got all the wireless sensors talking to the panel. We had quite a few sensors from our old system and a fire alarm which he also connected up for us. He tested everything, then he showed us how to use the panel and the app on our phones. The installation was 5 star. Some of the other issues make the overall experience less. Overall, I think Brinks made the process of ordering, setting up our account online, and activating the system unnecessarily complicated. Thankfully, they have good people, like John Morales, working for them.

I wish I would have read these reviews before getting into a contract with brinks. You deserve a 0 rating. Unfortunately leaving poor reviews don't seem to bother brinks but be sure I will go on the community Facebook page and hopefully I can stop at least 1 person from getting conned.
