The cleaners themselves were kind and accommodating when the move had some complications (as often happens, moves are hard!), and they did a good job of cleaning the apartment. I met three cleaners who worked for ~2.5 hours while we finished our move. Later that evening I received an invoice for nearly TWICE the amount agreed upon and a judgmental email from Jessica. She stated that four cleaners had spent over 11 hours cleaning the apartment, that it was in "very bad condition," that I had misrepresented how much cleaning had to be done, and that they'd have to replace and repair equipment as a result of cleaning my apartment (later she told me that this included new rags--apparently this cleaning service expects to keep their RAGS pristine). I am not here to defend the cleanliness of my apartment upon moving out. Most people are aware that move outs mean messes. When I called Jessica, assuming that the bill must have been some kind of mistake, she became downright condescending. Jessica told me that the apartment was in horrible condition, and that the workers had taken photos of both the apartment and themselves to prove that four of them had been there, which seemed like an unusual thing to do. She said that I should have known that they would bill me by number of hours per person (thus the claim that the job took 11 hours), and that they would increase the cost based on the "condition" of the apartment--a completely subjective concept that should NOT be the basis of billing. Jessica told me that I had not been forthcoming with my initial description of the apartment, that in her "five years in the business" she has never seen any company operate differently, and went to great lengths to tell me how slovenly my living space was. I'm sure everyone enjoys being judged when paying for cleaning services. I may not be "in the business" but I have worked with other cleaners. Every other company agrees upon a rate and sticks with it. Not so with Eco Clean Madison. This is NOT normal, no matter how many times Jessica repeats that it is. When I pushed back, Jessica refused to listen, talked over me, said I was "talking in circles" and "overwhelmed" and refused to listen to my legitimate complaints. This is NOT customer service, and honestly it came off as downright sexist. Later, Jessica sent me an email with 18 photos of my apartment that the workers had taken. One wonders how much of those stated 11 hours of work involved "documentation." I am sure Jessica will respond to this review with similar condescension, but potential customers should be aware that they will be dramatically overcharged and then SHAMED by this company's employees. A cleaning service should expect to encounter dirt. Otherwise their services would not be needed. There was no initial quote for an additional oven charge, and more importantly the original quote did NOT state a number of workers on the job -- so Jessica's claim that "4 workers took over 11 hours" to clean the house and that I should be charged for that extra labor is completely bogus, and evidence that this company will do whatever it takes to swindle customers out of as much money as possible. Bottom line: **DO NOT use their move-out cleaning services.** Expect your home to be creepily documented, your quoted charge to increase by hundreds of dollars in the bill, and their manager to berate you if you dare to question any of it. This is a terrible company -- at least as represented by their front end employee. There are many other cleaning services in Madison that will do the job thoroughly, fairly, honestly, and without treating their customers like garbage.

I do not mind the $100 for the service call and maybe ~ 10 paid minutes it took to say we need a new faucet, but I DO MIND paying 50 minutes X $2.00/minute = $100 for a friendly discussion!! They called 3 hours into the window saying they would take a picture of the valve and replace it tomorrow. Wednesday. When I cannot do it. I could have rescheduled for Thursday, but I decided to cancel and give someone else a try. Hopefully someone who values their customer's time better.

We used these guys after buying a Groupon/Living Social voucher. There were some problems initially…read moretrying to make an appointment due to a wrong phone number and e-mail but I'm not sure if that was Living Social's problem or Class A's. Once we got the appointment set up, e-mail communication worked great. On the day of the service, they were over an hour late after the time set up. This might not be a problem for return customers but for an initial customer, I usually do not like leaving my house open to people I do not know. Just like waiting for the cable guy, there's nothing worse than waiting for people at your house when there's other things that need to be done that day. Once they arrived though, these guys really did a good job. The voucher we bought only including one person for two hours. They actually came with a team of four people and stayed almost the entire two hours. We had them clean our kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms. I was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and service. We have a flat top stove that had gunk built up from it which had been near impossible to remove. They were able to remove almost all of it. They even cleaned our toaster oven! Overall, they did a great job cleaning and were very friendly. I would definetely use them again.

We hired Early Bird Painting to paint the trim and soffits on our 50+ year old house. We previously…read morepainted the siding ourselves last year but never got around to doing the trim (due to extensive peeling on the soffits and damage to some of the wood trim that needed to be replaced). Early Bird did a fantastic job and they were able to do it quickly. They gave us a bid back in June but I didn't get back to them about scheduling until the last week of October when I was fully expecting we would have to schedule for sometime next year. When I got back to them, they were able to get us in the very next week (we got lucky with great weather in November), and they completed the work in about 1.5 days. My husband and I were also working from home due to COVID and their work was so quiet that it did not interfere with video calls. TL;DR: Overall, Early Bird is a fantastic company to work with, and you should definitely give them a call when you need professional painting done. They did a wonderful job with no mess. The once forest green trim and service door are now a gleaming, smooth white; the peeling soffits and damaged areas of trim are looking fresh and well taken care of. We plan to keep them in mind for future projects.

Your people were supposed to show BETWEEN 7:30-8:30 and they showed at 7:25 and wanted to know where my nephew was EARLY. It sounded like I wanted to cancel? No. I was pissed because all of a sudden we were given a time limit, 2 hours, that morning for a move out clean! Are you serious? You're people left within 10 minutes, don't lie. You did not wait until I texted you back because I was mid flight like I told you I would be. No one ever said we wanted to cancel!
