After Akim altered it, the dress completely lost its shape, he hemmed it way too short, the bustle is off center, the folds don't look anything like the original, and she can't even fit into it anymore. We tried asking for him to fix it or to refund her but he adamantly refused and threatened her if she didn't pay. This dress is unsalvageable and we now need to go dress shopping again two months before her wedding. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy to be quite honest.

When I asked him to schedule a final fitting he absolutely lost his mind and told me this is all my fault, I came too early (when I called to simply inquire they told me I had to come in immediately so I stupidly trusted him and listened). He then told me that if I were to gain or lose any weight he can't do anything about it....this was immediately a massive red flag. I do not know a single woman who has ever been told there will not be multiple fittings prior to her wedding day. All my dress needed was a hem, a bustle, and the top to be taken in slightly. The hem line is completely uneven and you can see the lining of the dress, never mind the hem is too short and you can see my feet rather than having it brush the floor as we discussed. The bustle is off center and looks awful. The top is pulled so tight that the draping and folds on the front of the gown now look terrible and the tips of the dress dig into my armpits where they should not be. The zipper also has too much stress on it now and if I were to actually wear the dress as it is, it would literally pop open during my wedding. It is an A-line gown and he completely took its form away. It looks awful and he charged me $500 for it. When we called and told him the seamstress I took it to the next day was appalled and has to completely take the dress apart to even attempt trying to fix it, and we are canceling the payment, he threatened to call the cops. The man is a narcissistic POS and I am begging all brides STAY AWAY. I will never stop telling people how terrible he is. Obviously his skills were lacking but it's also his behavior and the way he spoke to me and my fiancé. He should genuinely be ashamed of himself. My wedding is in two months and I still don't know if I have to go buy a new gown because of him. He refused to take any responsibility, tried to play the victim and say I'm not being fair to him (try being the bride whose wedding dress is destroyed ????), and then threatened to involve the police. I hope his company crumbles beneath him.

I was very specific about the details--monogram placement, font, and even requested that my name be done in all lowercase. Unfortunately, every item was done incorrectly. The monogram on the scarf was placed upside down (so when worn, it read incorrectly), and both the sweatshirt and pajamas were embroidered in the wrong font and not in lowercase as requested. When I brought this to their attention, I was told the original items could not be corrected and would need to be replaced and re-embroidered. To their credit, they agreed to repurchase the items. However, when I returned to pick them up, none of the items had been embroidered at all--and the pajamas provided were not even the correct pair. At that point, I requested a refund for the embroidery services I never received. I was told the employee present was unable to process a refund. I had to insist on getting something in writing stating that I would be refunded, but I have little confidence this will actually happen. I've since filed a dispute with my bank. Between the repeated errors, lack of attention to detail, and inability to resolve the issue properly, this was an incredibly frustrating experience--especially given that these items were meant for a special occasion. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. The level of inaccuracy and lack of follow-through here is simply unacceptable.

I reached out via Yelp to schedule my wedding dress alterations in advance of my wedding date last September. The day I showed up I wasn't told in advance I needed heels and was told we couldn't proceed even though heels were actually available for this purpose, and nobody told me. The owner did reach out to me to come back and I had to reschedule for another two weeks later as I was already home at that point. I came back to set up alterations confirming that the hem would come up 3 inches to accommodate heels and for it to fit comfortably I would have to lose about 10 pounds. This was no issue. When I came back to try it on I'm not sure why (as it was never explained to me), but the straps were shortened in such a way as you can see in my photos that my breasts had no support and were flattened or the material moved depending on angle of photo. Not happy. They put in a zipper for the buttons which I was grateful for. I had several weeks prior to the day I needed to pick up scheduled as our wedding was out of state. When I showed up, it was not ready, not pressed and I had to wait while they finished. I'm glad I double checked it on my way out or I would've left the state without a dress that was done as I asked for a bustle that was not on the dress, even though I had asked for it and paid for everything in advance at the last appointment. I am not a picky person or hard to deal with when it comes to brides. We had a simple elopement and were very flexible with changes as they came. I find it beyond frustrating that for such a big event, and given the other amazing reviews (which is why I picked this business), that I had nothing but issues. The pricing was great, but Tim seemed to be the only person on the same page as me. This seems like a family business, so I was really bummed this didn't work out. As you can see in my photos, the stomach portion was still loose (with the ripples) and could've been taken in to fit more appropriately. The straps shouldn't have been taken done without the bra area being adjusted to support me. It's so hard to look at my wedding photos because the lack of care to my dress is so evident. The day of my elopement the bustle broke and a button came off of the zippered area. For this reason, unfortunately I would not return or recommend. I was hoping for a much better experience considering how important this was and how understanding I was working with this business despite all the issues that occurred.
