I recently had my 11th child, and had worked with Viv in the past for my 8th, 9th and 10th. I called her 1 week postpartum to be sure we were starting off on the right foot. Vivian was great; offered support, guidance and reassurance, which is what I need in the beginning. It's all about baby steps and consistency early on. Developing good habits and a simple schedule. What you do now will pay off later. I've never met Vivian in person, only over the phone. And she already feels like a friend. I look forward to calling her again in the future when we hit some bumps along the way. Thanks, Viv! read more

Tl;dr: Vivian did not get our baby to sleep through the night consistently and then proceeded to imply that I lied to her, blamed me for being "anxious" and critiqued our parenting. In depth review: I was referred to Vivian 6 years ago. When I had my 3rd child, I was rocking him to sleep for 45 min to get him to nap for 30 min. My baby was 4 months when I reached out to Vivian. During our first meeting, she was at the house at 7am. My impression was that she was somewhat disorganized, but I trusted her expertise. The first week we saw improvements in our baby's sleep. He learned to sleep on his own without contact for naps, but did not sleep through the night. He would wake up and cry and then go back to sleep. We followed her advice to go in if it's 45 min of hardcore crying or 50 min of wave. However, I found that when we did that, the next day Vivian would be very agitated and said "Tina, don't go in. Should I just tell you not to go in period?". This was very condescending and contradictory to her advice. When we follow it, she questions me whether or not I am sure. In addition, she kept iterating t All the while, Vivian would pepper in unsolicited parenting advice. "Don't talk to your baby. Don't pick up your baby." She was aware enough to know that I felt uncomfortable with her comments that she called back to apologize. She said "I don't want to make you feel bad, but I just see that some parents have it too hard if they give too much attention to their baby." I gave her a pass, but more flags came up. I told her that my older kids cry sometimes and perhaps that affects my baby's bedtime. Her response was "Should I go down there and discipline everyone?". It truly was unpleasant to constantly converse with someone so judgmental. I did not hire her for parenting advice. The straw that broke the camel's back is after 3 weeks of trying, Vivian started blaming me for the sleep plan not working. She said "I don't know if you're really not going in at night. Sometimes you say the baby drinks 2 oz and other times 4 oz.. I don't really know what you're doing, but there's something usually wrong with the parents." Babies are not robots and they drink different amounts on different days. It is beyond insulting to imply that I was lying to her about our actions. I called her and told her that I did not appreciate her questioning and implications. It would be one thing if she owned her part and said "In my years, I have not come across a baby who took this long and I'm not sure why". However, she chose to blame her clients. It's so unprofessional. For 3 weeks, I endured anticipating judgmental comments, mistrust, and blame. She apologized for her words and said she'll be more careful with what she says, but it was really deteriorating my mental health especially with a baby who still does not sleep at night. I told her I needed a break. A week later, I cooled off and was done. I don't need to put up with her anymore. My husband tried to talk to her, but was stonewalled and given critiques of our parenting and house cleanliness. She said I didn't take notes (not true, I took them on my phone in front of her as we talked) and she said that our house was messy (we have 3 children under 6 years old - not sure she's ever worked with parents with 3 kids). At the end of the day, you'll get some results, but it comes at a high cost to your mental health. read more

Vivian Sonnenberg - Example of her judgement for having missed a call because I was busy with my other two children. - Sleep Specialists Near Me

Vivian is great. We have twins (who were 4 months old) and I called her after a particularly tricky night where one of them was up every two hours. She was quick to respond - she showed up the very next day, and she gave us a plan for naps and night time. We followed her method closely and within two weeks they were sleeping from 6:30pm-6am. Just over three weeks out they're sleeping 7pm-7am. Vivian was very communicative and responsive and she helps make sure you're following the plan. You have to be prepared to let your baby cry it out, but if you are, her method is very effective. read more

Vivian came highly recommended to us, and we started working with her during week one with our newborn. We were honestly skeptical as brand-new parents, but knowing what we know now, we would recommend everyone work with Vivian! At just 7 weeks old, our baby is sleeping 12 hours at night and taking great naps during the day. We live in Texas, so all of our interactions have been over the phone, but Vivian is truly a joy to talk to. She's energetic, reassuring, very knowledgeable, and gives clear guidance. We've loved having the comfort of being able to call her anytime we have a question or need advice. We are so grateful to be a well rested family, all thanks to Vivian!! read more

Three nights after we met Vivian, our 5 month old son slept through the night. Two weeks of consistently following her advice and he's sleeping 12 hours per night, his naps are consistent, and he's waking up happy. We got to this point thanks to Vivian, quickly and effectively with maximum compassion and minimal crying. If you want a clear, direct path to a happier baby who is sleeping well, call her. Informed by decades of experience, she is the loving, no-nonsense voice of wisdom that we needed. She is invested in her work, committed to your success, very accessible for daytime support, and truly cares about babies and families. read more

Vivían has a gift with relating to babies and understanding their needs. She came to our house early one morning and guided us with how to best care for our baby and how to put her on a healthy eating and sleeping schedule. Our baby slept through the night on DAY 1!!! It was incredible! Vivian continued to check in with us and was available whenever we needed her. She is passionate about her work and truly cares about babies and about us. I highly recommend her! read more

Vivian helped us with our 4 month old back then now 2.5 yr old kid with her sleep magic. Our baby went from crying middle of the night not want to be settled and waking up at 5am to sleeping through the night within 2 days after Vivian visited us and gave her the suggestions for us to follow. And when we ran into the toddler sleeping regression challenge, Vivian saved us again in just 3 days following her recommended schedule. Vivian is always there super responsive. Can't recommend her enough to any parents who are sleep deprived! read more

Vivienne has been amazing help from day 1! She came over when my daughter was 2 days old and has consistently helped me through every sleep obstacle and transition. She is currently 2.5 years old and I plan to call Vivienne tomorrow to chat about her refusing to go to bed at night now as a toddler. Overall she is the best sleeper her age and know it was because of Viviennes help from day 1. Vivienne has a wealth of knowledge and very direct which is what we needed. We love her and recommend her to everyone! read more

Update March 25th, 2025: I contacted Vivian days after the birth of my 10th child. I wanted to be sure and start off on the right track immediately. With a large family it is especially crucial to have a routine in place for the benefit of not only the baby, but the entire family. Vivian gave me a few initial pointers to start off our baby on the right foot, but recommended that I call back when I was stronger and able to follow through with her suggestions. Which ended up being a wise choice. My son is currently five weeks tomorrow and with Vivian's tips, his sleep (night and naps) is already improving, after 1 day. I will continue to follow her suggestions and update the review once he is "fully cooked"! As a sidenote, I fully enjoy speaking to Vivian. It's like speaking to a warm, knowledgeable and caring aunt! Her methods are simple and straightforward. She cuts through the nonsense and most importantly, her method works. read more

After having my 3rd baby I was hoping she would be my "good sleeper". For the first few months of life she slept decently. We co slept and she was exclusively breastfed. But after she hit her 4 month sleep regression she was using me as a human pacifier every 30 minutes throughout the night, and sometimes even having a hard time falling back asleep! Her naps were about 20-30 minutes long, so we were cornered into contact naps so she can sleep. I was exhausted and neglecting my other 2 older kids, and my mental and physical health was declining. I contacted Vivian when my daughter was 5 months old. Skeptical but desperate. Vivian showed up at my house early in the morning. She helped me put my daughter down for her first nap. Miraculously with her method my daughter slept independently for her naps and slept 12 hours that night without a feed!! My life has become manageable because of Vivian's guidance. I'm also able to spend time with my other kids while she naps independently and in the evening when she sleeps. I'm also able to have time for myself. Such a game changer. She held my hand for a month with daily phone calls. Without her I probably would still be sleep deprived. Thank you Vivan! read more

We sleep trained both of our kids with Vivian and I'm glad we did! We sleep trained our first kid at 4 months and our second as a newborn. Our first is now 2 and sleeps through every night, and our second recently started sleeping 12 hours stretches in the night! Its incredible, my wife and I get about an hour or two to ourselves in the evening, and the kids are so much happier and well behaved during the day. Vivian works with you for 3 months, but we saw results after the first couple weeks. She provides guidance on whatever the current situation is, and then coaches you as things progress. After sleep training completed, we felt like we had enough understanding to handle any temporary sleep pattern regressions on our own. She is a baby whisperer and a new mother's ultimate comfort. read more

Vivian Sonnenberg - Look at this lil guy sleeping 12 hour stretches all by himself! - Sleep Specialists Near Me

Updating my review after Vivian recently helped us out with our second baby. Even though we already knew the method from our first kid, we called Vivian again because we wanted her knowledge/expertise just in case. After all, each kid is different, and we weren't sure if the second was going to be as easy to sleep train as the first. Turns out, it was just as easy with our second baby. Vivian's method really works. When our daughter was a little over 3 months old, we called Vivian to begin official sleep training. Our daughter cried a few times the first night and we ended up feeding her once, but after the first night, there were no more night feedings, and she was sleeping completely through the night (7pm-7am) with no wake-ups/no feedings by night #5. Vivian also helped us to tweak our son's bedtime to 30 minutes earlier, so now he's getting more rest at night and being less crazy at bedtime. It's such money well spent, to have a happy, sleeping baby and to be able to sleep through the night ourselves. read more

I found Vivan on yelp. I was curious because Vivan did not have any formal training or credentials. But, there were so many positive reviews and she was local. I ignored the negative ones. It turned out that all of the negative ones were right on target with my experience. I want to share my experience because... 1) It is not cheap - she charged us $960 2) By the time you are looking for a sleep trainer - you are exhausted and really need help. Therefore critical you choose the right person. It is important for a trainer to be someone who coaches you and guides you along the way. A positive support to walk you through all the nuances and can answer questions that come up. Patient and compassionate. Most importantly, available! If you are taking on a new client - be available to answer questions, especially in the first 24 hours. Vivian came to our house last Friday morning. She brought a one-page laminated sheet that she referenced. No handouts or anything to share. Expect to take your own notes. We found her to be very disorganized as she shared her method - jumping around from topic to topic. But, did our best (all 3 of us) to piece together everything she was saying. Her method is a form of CIO. She explains 3 types of crying: whining, the wave, and "hardcore nasty" crying. She told me because my baby was "good" and "nice" to let her hardcore/nasty cry for 30 min and then take her outside to look at the flowers to break - then back in the crib. If she does not respond, increase that time each day. If the baby is crying when waking up from a nap - leave in the crib another 15 more. To keep her awake for 2 hours between naps. Feed every 3 hours. There was not much more to it. Vivan was available from 8 am-6 pm. I found her very hard to get a hold of to ask questions as things came up during those hours. When we finally did, she was not able to explain her method well. We also found her to be patronizing, dismissive, and rude. Example: Question to Vivian: Can we talk through a sample schedule if I am to feed every 3 hours and the baby wakes up at 7 am but naps in 2 hours.... Response to me was that I was overthinking things and I need to relax and if I relaxed the baby would sleep. I told her I was worried my baby was not doing well and she told me to stop being dramatic. If I am paying $960 for a coach, I would imagine they would be available especially over the first 24 hours when things are rough... When I let her know that I was finding support challenging, she said none of her mom's complain. She quickly sent $675 back and "best wishes" and that was the end of that. In less than 24 hours she bailed. No idea how she calculated that amount for a refund. I am shocked there are positive reviews and wonder if she must pay for some of them. But that is my own hypothesis. My friend who went through an organized sleep training jumped in and talked me through it - thank god! And with my friends' help - my baby is now sleeping through the night. I suggested she created a website, do this for her friends a few times around to get some positive yelp reviews, and say she is passionate about babies and viola - she is a sleep trainer. If looking for a sleep trainer 1. Make sure they have a manual they can give YOU to follow. 2. Find someone who has availability at night (the hardest) and during the day. 3. Ensure they are available and the best ways to contact them. Do they have a cell? Can you text? 4. Find someone who follows age-appropriate wake windows - it matters! Hope this helps! Happy to share the method/person I followed if you want to DM me. It has been life-changing and I am so happy I did sleep training. read more

Vivian is like magic! We had already started sleep training our 2.5 month old daughter when we approached Vivian because we couldn't quite get her to sleep 6pm-6am on our own. With Vivian's guidance and direction, we were able to adjust and her suggestions worked like clockwork. As a new mom, it was truly game changing to have her as a resource... the woman knows what she's doing. If you believe in the cry it out philosophy, I would highly recommend! read more

I had Vivian's help from day 1 with my son and hiring her was the best decision I've made as a first time mom. The first few weeks it was about creating good habits, by 4 weeks he was sleeping in his crib with only 1 feeding a night and by 8 weeks he was consistently sleeping 12 hours straight in his crib. I have the happiest baby, and my husband and I get to enjoy our evenings together along with a full night of sleep every night. I cannot recommend Vivian enough- she will hold you accountable about being disciplined and creating structure for your baby. The end result is so incredibly rewarding. Thank you Vivian! read more

We are a very well rested family and I have to give all the credit to @viviansonnenberg . I first met Vivian 9 years ago when I was at my wits end with bad naps and sleepless nights. Less than 7 days after hiring Vivian my 3 month old daughter was sleeping 12 hrs a night and It was a game changer! Fast forward... 9 years ( yep! ) and I knew I wanted to have a sleep coach again but this time I wanted to start right when we got home from the hospital. I was so happy to find Vivian was still working - we hired her immediately. Our son has been sleeping thru the night since about 10 weeks old. I NEED my Sleep... my husband can attest to this. So for us, this is what we prioritized. I cannot recommend @viviansonnenberg enough. If you or anyone you know is in need please contact her! Oh... did I mention she's in San Fran... so it's all over the phone... she works worldwide read more

Our second time hiring Vivian, now for our second baby. She's simply the best and knows babies better than anyone we know. She also helped us figure out a sustainable bedtime schedule for our baby and toddler and now our evenings are wonderful and so peaceful. If we have a third, I'll hire her again without hesitation. read more

Vivian changed our lives. At 4 months old our baby was waking every 2-3 hours, day and night. We were all miserable and it was unsustainable for our family. Within days of working with Vivian our baby was sleeping well overnight and napping like a champ. He was also a different baby. He cried less, ate more, laughed more, played more. "A baby that sleeps is a happy baby," I think Vivian once said to me. She was right! I would add that a parent that sleeps is also a happy parent! I was apprehensive of sleep training, but it's the best choice we made for our family all year. Vivian speaks clearly, provides simple but effective instructions, and has deep respect and love for babies. Don't hesitate to hire her! Your whole family will thank you for it! read more

Vivan is a master in her craft at helping babies sleep peacefully through the night. We hired Vivian at the beginning of our parenting journey with our newborn. Vivian helped us lay the foundation for good sleep habits right off the bat and our daughter was sleeping through the night at 7 weeks (12 pounds). She helped us with product recommendations and educated us on how sleep habits should be for a newborn through their infancy. I highly recommend Vivian and we plan to use her services again with our future children. read more

We hired Vivian to help us with our daughter when she was 5 months old. Our daughter would only contact nap and it was taking us between 2-5 hours to get her to fall asleep in her crib at night because she wanted to be held. We were exhausted! If she woke up during the night, it would be a toss up whether we could get her to go back to sleep in her crib. Within a couple days of working with Vivian, our baby was napping in her crib and able to go to sleep at night in her crib without us holding, soothing etc for several hours every night. She is a good crib napper now and she almost always sleeps for 12 hours straight without any intervention from us. Sleep training has made a huge improvement in all of our lives. I wish we'd called Vivian sooner. Thanks for your help! read more

Vivian is excellent and she can help your baby sleep better! Don't wait to contact her, she can likely help you sooner than you think! We contacted Vivian about 1 month ago when we were completely lost on how to get our 3 month old to sleep more. We were rocking him to sleep, doing contact naps, and trying reflux medications with no success. Both of us were completely and utterly exhausted. We called Vivian on a Monday and by Friday morning she was at our home to get started. Vivian is very sweet and loves babies, but is also clear and firm on guidance with parents. After the home visit, she checked in several times during the rest of the day on progress. The first night was challenging, but on the second night, our baby boy went from 6 PM to 6 AM without any parent involvement! And he has slept through the night ever since then! Naps progressed more slowly, but from the start with Vivian our baby boy was falling asleep on his own for naps in the crib. The length of naps and total amount of daytime sleep took some time to develop, but has vastly improved with Vivian's help. Vivian continues to check in with you, and is always available by phone for questions. A few reviews note that she does not give any handout or notes - this is true. The parents do need to put in some effort and ask any questions you have, but the results are well worth it. I highly recommend Vivian for anyone with a baby that isn't sleeping through the night! read more

Vivian was my life saver!! I truly can't imagine how my life would be without her help. My 3 month old son would wake up every 2-3 hours when I started working with Vivian. After a few days he slept 11-12 hrs.....I couldn't believe it! He was SO happy after his sleep got fixed. Well worth the cries!! I worked with Vivian recently with my newborn and she's also sleeping 11-12 hrs. Vivian truly cares for babies and parents. She understands how lack of sleep can put stress on the entire family and really wants to help. I highly highly recommend her to all moms....she will change your life. read more

Vivian changed my family's life. I am a first time mom & know that sleep post partum is key to a healthy recovery. I was lucky enough to be able to hire a wonderful night nurse a few nights a week to help us through this transition. My daughter didn't nap very much but with the help of our night nurse, she sleeping through the night at around 10 weeks. At the time I went back to work (4 months), my daughter went through the 4 month sleep regression. And then her new habits stuck..., she trained us to feed her in the middle of the night. And no naps in the crib, which our au pair loved :). There was lots of advice online & friends, but at 6 months - my husband & I were exhausted & was referred to Vivian. Vivian put together a plan & called me multiple times a day to check in, answer my questions, & keep things on track. It took some time (7-10 days) for Cameron to be "fully cooked" but it got worse before it got better. If Vivian hadn't been there...I would have given up on this method and tried something new. Since Vivian, my daughter (now 9 months) sleeps from 6:30-7 and naps 2x a day for 1 hour - 2 hours. Everyone is happier, including my baby! She can self soothe & is something she will need for life. It's the best money I've ever spent & honestly.....a great value for what she did for our family. Literally a no brainer!! 5 stars. read more

I am a new mom, based in Switzerland, and Vivian has changed my life! My little one was sleeping poorly, at odd hours of the night and day, crying inconsolably and was generally cranky. Vivian helped us define a rigorous nap/ sleep schedule and guided us to teach our daughter to link sleep cycles at an early age. Our baby is going to bed easily, sleeps 6-8 hour stretches and is generally content! She's still to young to sleep through the night but with Vivian, we know this will happen soon! read more

This review is a long time coming, as Vivian helped me years ago with my now 8 yr old, and has again been HUGELY indispensable helping me with my now 9 week old baby boy! With my older daughter, I called her, desperate, when she was about 4 months old (I'd held out thinking that there was nothing to "do" about not sleeping until babies were 6 months old). I am so so glad I called--she changed our lives and restored sanity! In 3 nights my daughter slept 7pm-7am, naps were no longer an issue (no tears) and she had zero sleep regressions. She is still a beautiful, happy, long, sleeper and a well rested child. I am SO SO grateful that I found Vivian. When I found out I was pregnant in March, I was thrilled but was already dreading the sleep deprivation that comes with newborn life. I reached out to Vivian to see how early she works with parents and babies so that the right habits can be set from the start. She said to call her on day 1--which I did! We came up with a good plan, baby was napping and sleeping in his crib from day 3 on, and at 8 weeks started sleeping 7pm-6am with only very gentle "nudging" on my part. He's been unswaddled totally from week 4-5, has found his hands to comfort himself, goes down drowsy but awake AND, most importantly, is HAPPY. He's napped maybe once or twice in a swing, but the great part is that her method is SIMPLE. No bouncing, no rocking for hours, no pacifier, no swaddle. And the babies love it! This is where Vivian really gets 5 starts, and why I am so grateful. Sure, as parents we all want (and need!) sleep. But, what really matters to us are our babies and children. The difference in my children when they have a good routine and are rested, is night and day. For example, with this baby I had been keeping him up too long in between naps. As soon as Vivian corrected me on this, we literally had almost no fussing during the day, and when she adjusted his bedtime to 7 rather than 8 or 9, bam the "witching hour" fussies were over! When he wakes up in the morning and from naps he's happy, smiling and then ready to nap again in an hour with no or very little tears. My husband and I talk all the time about how this is really a gift to the children even more than it is to us and the rest of the household. The gift of sleep for a lifetime! Vivian loves babies. If anything, I would call this "parent training" rather than "sleep training"! One thing that is important: her advice and her programs are not similar to what you read all over the internet about baby "sleep". There will be some crying--and what I've learned is that that's OK. Frankly, I'd rather have 5-10 minutes of tears for a few days and then a happy rested child forever after that than weeks/months/years of tears and a sleep deprived child and parents. Her's is not a "let the baby cry it out all night" sort of thing--it's thoughtful, tailored to each child and situation and your family, but most importantly it's CONSISTENT for the baby in the least amount of time possible. Truly, the results and the happy, happy children speak for themselves. If you are on the fence (and have gotten to the end of my gushing review!) all I can say is: go for it. You will be so happy you found her! Good luck! read more

I would highly recommend Vivian! I hired her in 2021 for my 6 month old son and recently for my 5 month old daughter. Both times she helped my husband and I sleep train our children. The process was so easy and she walked us through each step with great detail and direction. Both of my babies slept through the night and in their own cribs after just two nights of working with Vivian. Sleep training can be overwhelming, with so many methods online but Vivian can help your family get the sleep it needs! read more

I've now worked with Vivian for both of my children for sleep training. My first was at 4 months and my 2nd was at 2 months. Vivian was there to take my calls and help me every step of the way. My 2nd baby was colicky and Vivian was incredibly supportive during my difficult times. Every baby is different but after roughly a week, both of my children slept through the night and were napping at least 1-2 hours per nap. I highly recommend Vivian's no nonsense approach to sleep training. read more

Vivian is THE BEST and let me tell you why... We had a 3 1/2 month old at the time and my husband got three unsolicited referrals to call Vivian for sleep training when he mentioned to clients and other various people that he had just had a baby. We called her right when our pediatrician gave us the "okay" to sleep train at 4 months - by the way our pediatrician also mentioned that she used Vivian to train both her babies while giving the okay. Anyway, we called Vivian and she picked up right away and started getting to know us over the phone. She usually does house calls to meet your family, the baby and see your house/nursery but can't right now due to the pandemic. She asked lots of questions about our baby's daytime and nap habits, eating habits, sleeping patterns, what we were using for swaddles/sleep sacks, etc and helped us come up with a plan. She estimated that it would take about 2-3 nights for our baby based on what she knew of us and exactly TWO nights later we had a baby sleeping 12 hours a night without crying. Now, you have to be ready for the training, the two nights of crying was hard at times but not awful and it is so worth it. Our baby is 9 months old now, we haven't had to go into her room once over the last 5 months because she goes down happily at 6:30pm and we see her at 7am the next morning with a smile on her face - every morning. Our baby girl Claire seems so happy and rested and we are so thankful to Vivian for her guidance. Through the training process and for a couple weeks following, things would come up and we would get in touch with Vivian to ask questions, she was always available and happy to hear from us or would call me to check in. Vivian has the experience, the attitude, the knowledge and the candor to be the best sleep trainer. We really adore her and still do occasional calls to get advice about other issues (sleeping while traveling, sleep sacks, etc etc) and are planning to work on potty training with Vivian when that time comes. Anybody can work with Vivian and get the same results, you just have to commit to the plan and listen to her advice and guidance. Please just call her if you want to sleep again...you will NOT regret it!! read more

I am so grateful to Vivian. Her method of sleep training was easy to follow and kept me sane while doing it! She helped my daughter, she helped my marriage and she made me a better mother. After my first conversation with Vivian she could hear the growling noises my baby was making and asked what I was doing with her and what our day was like. I showed her pictures of her room and abundance of toys. I had loud Disney music going all the time and I was constantly entertaining her and living in fear of her ever fussing or crying. Vivian told me, "let her be a baby." I was so busy entertaining my child I never let her entertain me or figure it out for herself. And I was missing out on my baby! Now that she has learned to soothe herself and I have made the changes Vivian suggested, my baby never growls or sounds like a hungry dinosaur! She is happy and calmer. And I am happier and calmer ! Before when she was sleeping with us she would claw at her face when she would cry. She was always cutting herself even though I was filing her nails daily. Now that she sleeps alone and through the night she has not scratched herself once. So I know she is happier and feels more confident. Sleep training gave my baby the gift of confidence and Vivian gave me my sanity and my life back. read more

Vivian is really amazing. She knows what babies need and cares alot about them, and provides the guidance we needed to get our baby on a proper sleep schedule. Now she's sleeping through the night (12 hours) which before we were lucky to get her to sleep 9 hours. Vivian sticks with you through the process, because it's not easy to do it alone. Now it's nice to know our baby is less stressed and getting the sleep she needs! It's also alot less stressful for us, knowing we are doing the right thing and we are getting more sleep (the lack of sleep for us had resulted in both my wife and I getting sick). We are doing much better now. So thank you Vivian! read more

Just wow - Vivian has completely saved my sanity as a Mom, and we couldn't be more grateful for her help! Vivian was recommended to us by our pediatrician which was the initial vote of confidence that led me to call her. We hired her to do remote sleep consulting during the COVID-19 Shelter in Place. Initially we were looking for help with our 2 year old who was waking in the middle of the night, but after reading her reviews and completing our initial call, I realized that she was going to be hugely helpful in getting our 3.5 month old to sleep better. This ended up being the game changer for us! I was rocking & bouncing him to sleep so much that my back was killing me, he wasn't sleeping for long stretches, and he would thrash in his swaddle like he wanted out. I hadn't really realized how tough our routine was becoming now that he was waking from his newborn fog. We were all ready for a change. That being said, I was NOT willing to just leave my baby to cry all night, so once I learned about Vivian's gentle, time-based technique I knew it was something we could handle, that my baby would not feel abandoned, and that I wouldn't need to drown myself in a bottle of red wine while listening to my baby scream and scream. This felt right. Not only did Vivian fix our 2 year olds sleep issue in just 1 night, but our 3.5 month old is now taking three 1.5 hour naps a day and sleeping a full 12 hours at night! It's unbelievable! The best part is he is a DIFFERENT BABY! The very small amount of crying we had to endure is absolutely worth it once you physically see the change in your baby. He goes down without a tear, wakes up happy, and is chill and smiley the whole time he is awake. He is an absolute dream baby now, and I'm so glad we taught him the skills he needed in order for him to truly get the restful sleep he wasn't getting before! It really makes you wish you did something sooner. My tip: Be honest with yourself and COMMIT to following Vivian's plan for you. She will tweak it and offer advice if things are off (our baby took a few tweaks and about 5 full days to see consistency, he wasn't a perfect example). At the end of the day I knew that if we weren't consistent and strong, it would lead to a frustrated and confused baby. I'm so glad we committed to it and can't believe how easy it all was looking back! Give yourself and your family the gift of restful sleep, it WILL be the best thing you ever did! read more

We had a mixed experience with Vivian. On the plus side, she truly is warm and really knows babies. She swept in and felt like our fairy godmother. Our baby would not nap independently until we followed her method and now he goes down easily and his naps are slowly lengthening bit by bit. On the challenging front- the night method didn't work for us or our baby. He would sleep one really great night, followed by one agonizing night with 2 hours of crying (as instructed). I believe that Vivian has seen so much success with her method that it's hard for her to believe that our baby truly cried for 2 hours. When replaying the details of what happened we were met with skepticism - we must be doing something wrong. We followed her instruction to the letter. I ended up confused because some of her instructions contradicted what she'd say in the past. At the end the phone calls felt combative and tiresome. It was disappointing to feel like I had to defend myself on our calls, especially after some of the worst sleep we've had. I think Vivian's methods will work for most babies. It's simple (to start) and makes great sense. She'll work with you to make tweaks along the way and is very good at checking in. If you've already tried some form of CIO sleep training and it doesn't stick for your baby, I can't say with confidence that this method will work for you. It's definitely worth a shot if you have a very thick skin for a lot of tears, and a lot of tough love from your sleep consultant. Going into this, I thought I did. But after a full week, I felt more drained and lost about night sleep than when I started. I had no incentive to lie to Vivian, I desperately wanted the help. When we learned that no baby has ever cried as long as ours in her long tenure in this business, it was time for us to move on. Good luck on your journey for sleep! read more

Our son (our first) was waking every hour during the night at 11mo old, wanting to be fed and not taking very long naps during the day. Vivian was recommended to us by friends and we could not be happier! My son was sleeping better on day TWO! Vivian is very straight forward (which is what I needed!) and knowledgeable. Everything she said would happen in terms of his improvement happened exactly like she said. We are currently on day 6 of this new sleep routine and I have yet had to go into his room at night. Vivian answered all my questions, was available by phone or email to help. Also kind enough to call me to check in on my son's well being. My son is now happy and playful and looking healthier. The best part is we are getting sleep now too! We highly recommend Vivian's sleep training. read more

Vivian literally save us, We are from Brazil, and we were having such a hard time, as first time parents and without any family around, we were struggling a lot and getting crazy with our newborn with 8 weeks, until we search on the google and find Vivians name. She was so kind and thoughtful, and make us super comfortable with her techniques and calm voice, and we did exactly like she told us and we had results really quickly and everything became much more easier and light, and make the baby and parents happy and confident. Thank you so much We are really grateful Baby happy=parents happy read more

We are so thankful for Vivian! We moved across the country with our 2 month old and all the change really impacted his sleep habits. We couldn't put him down - he refused to sleep in a crib or bassinet, only on someone's chest. After a few desperate nights, we found Vivian. She supported us with a plan and after a week he was sleeping in his crib for 12 hours through the night and putting himself to sleep for naps. He is a happier, more independent baby. I would highly recommend Vivian to anyone, especially new parents, who need a no nonsense coach who will help calm your anxiety about baby sleep. read more

Vivian was referred to us by a friend after our 6-month-old started waking up on the hour, every hour, during the night. I had tried hacking our own sleep support by following sleep consultants on Instagram and reading blogs. None of this was ever specific enough for our particular situation, and the tips I did try, had no effect. Vivan came in with direct and measurable suggestions based on our specific family's situation. As with any sleep coach, her guidance is only effective if you're willing to put in the work, which after months of sleepless nights, we were. Her service is an investment and not one we took lightly. The fact is, you'll be hard-pressed to find someone with more experience, and a history of success, than Vivian. Additionally, we found that other sleep coaching services marketed their leader in name only. Actual coaching was generally outsourced to other "certified" coaches. This isn't the case with Vivian. You get her full and undivided attention without the risk of being delegated to a less experienced employee. It is worth noting that we worked with Vivian virtually (we're based in Colorado), without any issues. read more

Vivian and her "sleep system" are incredible! We first worked with Vivian two years ago when our daughter was just 4 months old and within 3 nights, we were all sleeping through the night. Not only did Vivian coach us through initial transition and training to help our daughter make it through the night without feeding, but she has continued to advise us and troubleshoot problems through to today. We had such a great experience with our daughter that we decided to start sleep training early with our baby boy at 8 weeks! Sure enough, following Vivian's system yielded results in just a week or so of training. Our now 9 week old son is nearly sleeping through each night on his own (occasionally waking up for a few minutes, but he's able to put himself back to sleep w/o feeding). Amazing. Not only has Vivian been an incredible coach, but she's become a close and very dear friend. Thank you Vivian!!! read more

Vivian is such a blessing in our lives. We're first-time, full-time working parents, and our baby had the well-known 4-month sleep regression. We were so tired and hopeless; nothing we did work. Our baby wouldn't take naps longer than 5-10 minutes and would not sleep at night. We had heard of Vivian's work through a friend, and, after several days of being unable to put our baby down for good sleep, we reached out to her. All we needed is her guidance and support. Her years of experience were so evident. Our baby had his first 2.5-hour nap the morning she came you our house. We were beyond amazed to see his ability to fall asleep by himself. By night two, he was sleeping 12 hours straight. We traveled to Mexico to see family one month later, and everything worked like a charm. We had her support before, during, and after our trip. We could not be happier about our decision to sleep train our child and ask Vivian to help us throughout our journey. read more

Vivian has been so wonderful to work with! We were referred to her by a friend and we are forever grateful. Our daughter was 3 months when we started with Vivian. She was very dependent on the pacifier for sleep and it was becoming a problem anytime she woke up during a nap or nighttime. Vivian came over to our house, talked us through her rules, left plenty of time for us to ask all the questions we wanted, and told us we could call her as much as we needed. We called her a lot that first week and every time Vivian was quick to respond and tell us exactly what to do. She also called every day to check-in as well. The best part of Vivian's plan is everything just makes sense when you think about it. Babies need to learn to sleep unassisted and she coaches you through how to get there. It took our daughter about 2 weeks to get a full 12+ hours of uninterrupted night sleep (she would wake up and talk to herself at 4am for awhile) and another week for naps to extend to 2-2.5 hours each. The best part is that she can put herself to sleep in 5-10 mins in a bright room (no blackout shades needed!) and can easily go back to sleep if she wakes up during a sleep cycle transition during a nap. Now that she is sleeping, she is so much happier, rarely cries, and seems like she's developing faster all of a sudden. I couldn't recommend Vivian more. read more

Do you want to sleep through the night? Then you must want your baby to sleep 12-13 hours per night. Vivian will make it happen. For both of our children, we called on Vivian's expertise. Our daughter was trained at four months, and within a week was sleeping 6pm-7am. She's now almost three, and to this day she has been a consistent sleep machine. With our son at five weeks old, we decided to start him on Vivian's 'baby steps' program. Within two weeks of 'baby steps' training our son was sleeping through the night from 6pm - 7am (yes at 7 weeks)! This has done wonders for all of our sleep especially as we now adjust to life with two children. I would lie if I said I wasn't a bit skeptical at first but wow, Vivian was there every step of the way and delivered her promise. Vivian's confidence, regular check-ins, meticulous assessment (home visit), detailed guidance (over the phone, email, in-person), and thoughtfulness for us as parents as well as for our kids has positively impacted our lives. We try not to boast to other new parents about all the sleep we're getting, but we cannot sing enough of Vivian's praises. As parents we are in a better place physically, emotionally, and mentally, and it's a huge win for our children. All in all Vivian has taken care of our entire family by giving us all more sleep - and who wouldn't want that! read more
