Kay has become the "go-to" stylist for me and all of my curly friends. We all have fabulous, photo-worthy curly hair now and it's weird (after 30+ years of haiting my hair) to have people stop me at Trader Joe's and ask my what hair salon I use and products, et c. Super in love with the chill atmosphere, wine, and product selection. They also have a nail studio, but I've already got a manicurist near my house. Susan was really helpful just talking on the phone, and my experience with her was great. It was my first time getting a facial, and she talked me through everything she was doing. I loved all the natural products, essential oil diffusing, water she gave me afterwards, there was even a little bowl of nuts. You can tell that she's very knowledgable at what she does. She wound up scheduling me for a makeup consultation where she helped me with some basics for my wedding day (I'm not into makeup). It was cut way too short, much shorter than I requested and I didn't ask in some vague esoteric way that was questionable, but showed a specific reference image with the length of bangs hitting the cheekbones if not a bit more. Isaac does the cut without talking at all or really asking questions and even though I showed the reference image and he took a picture of that image to look at, he still proceeded to cut my bangs to my brow bone at most. I pretended to like it, but I felt ugly and awful about it and I know I'm going to keep feeling this way for at least the two months it takes to even get to semblance of what I wanted. If this is what I wanted I guess it would be acceptable, but this is very much not what I wanted as I had a clear image that he looked at multiple times and yet he cut my hair much shorter than I wanted. A bad haircut is subjective, but it becomes objectively bad when it's comparing the length of what I wanted to what I received. If you want no communication, no talking just sitting in silence, a stylist that will look at images of what you want and completely ignore it to do something else, and a haircut that makes you look up supplements for hair growth, then Isaac is a great stylist for you and this is the perfect salon to go to. I tried to have grace once, but this is completely unacceptable.

I decided on the deep tissue massage because I tend to carry my stress on my shoulders - Shannon really knows what she is doing and does an excellent job on the massage.
