We had an excellent dinner here, our first night in Pradollano. We had originally made reservations for the whole family but the children were tired so they ate leftovers at our AirBnB, and it was just as well -- this is not a place for small children. Dinner consists entirely of an nine-item tasting menu for 65 euros. Each item was interesting and some were genuinely delicious. We were particularly impressed by the steak tartare, served with dried figs and laced with horseradish; by the salmorejo with olive oil ice cream; by the "fennel stew," really a soup served with a pastry with black pudding, finally by the dessert, a combination of "violet" treats including cake, ice cream and whipped cream. I was a bit worried as the meal began about whether there would be enough substance to sate my hunger, as the initial portions were tiny indeed, But portion sizes increased as the meal wound to a close, including turbot with supposedly pickled peas (the least interesting dish) and "trilogy" of meats from different parts of a young goat (tasty and filling)
Dedicated and friendly service with many explanations and answers to questions, and a nice sound track of quiet jazz
There is a lunch that provides a choice of dishes -- we might try it later in our stay read more
