On May 13, 2023 while riding from Las Vegas, Nevada to the State of Maryland I noticed that the cruise control on my 2016 Yamaha Super Tenere ES stopped working. I called Viva Powersports and explained my issue to one of the Viva Powersports service representative's who said to bring my Tenere in for a look. Upon arriving at Viva Powersports I met with the service representative and service technician named Pete. Pete took the time to evaluate my Tenere and he was able to determine the potential issues causing the problem. With that information I will be able to make the repairs. I just want to say Thank You for your professional staff and their efforts towards customer service, when another motorcycle shop told me to make an appointment, even after I told them I was traveling to the east coast. Only a review for the service department. Took my bike here for maintenance and to fix an issue. Ended up waiting at least two months to get it back which is mainly the queue time. They replaced a few parts. That didn't fix anything, so paid the bill and towed my bike home to do it myself. After towing my bike home, found out that they gave me the wrong motorcycle key. Once I started to work on my bike. They didn't even put all the parts back together. Was at least missing 6 bolts and my radiator cap was gone. Also the fairings were put back in a way that they were pushing and bending my radiator. Thankfully the people are nice but that doesn't fix bikes. read more

I bought a 2nd hand 2022 BMW R1250 RT that had it's PDI, assembly, 600 mile oil and final drive break in service and 2 year 1400 mile service performed on in May of 2025, before the owner traded it in for a Honda Gold Wing in Phoenix area. All work on this bike had been performed by Viva Power Sports. Today, I went to have Clearwater Valkerie running lights professionally installed. Everything was wired in place and ready to finally be hooked up to the battery when it was discovered that the original battery was still there and working after 3.5 years, and that whoever installed the recharging pigtail with the SAE connector shoved the battery into its position backwards, pulling the hell out of the positive lead as well as not installing the positive connector jumper wired for jump starting correctly. This bent the eyelet connector at a severe angle, and when the battery was installed again correctly, the electrical eyelet that attaches the hot wire to the battery snapped off, the victim of intense metallic strain from flexing. Evidently, the only one who has every touched the battery installation was the incompetent idiot at Viva Power sports who removed the battery to install the SAE charging plug connector to the battery incorrectly. Completely incompetent, the folks that work on bikes there in El Paso at Viva Power sports. Can not even install a battery correctly without destroying the wiring loom. Full retards, do not buy anything or bring your bike here for service, gross incompetence. I'd vote ZERO starts if at all possible. No common sense and gross incompetence installing something so easily. read more

Less than worthless. On August 14th they accepted my bike for repairs of cosmetic damages from a parked hit and run. Much of the damage was aftermarket (they did not specify at the time that they would not replace the broken aftermarket parts with aftermarket and instead tried to replace everything with stock parts without my consent), and an oil change/chain clean. it's now November 25th, I have had to reach out repeatedly during the course of this process in a futile attempt to get anything done, and yet, not a single part has been ordered..What's worse? They have claimed up to this point to have done an initial inspection, a supplemental inspection, AND a specific internals inspection, yet today when I call for a progress update, they claim they'll need to do an inspection before getting any parts ordered...SO WHAT HAVE YOU ACTUALLY BEEN DOING??? nothing. The was supposed to be done on Wednesday, so it was finished about closing time Thursday, and Friday I was able to see the report and pay for the inspection. The $256 inspection came to $314.33. Additionally, some of the work recommended had been done within the previous month. Whatever work was necessary, they wouldn't fix it anyway, as the bike is over 10 years old. Absolutely the worst service I've ever dealt with concerning motorcycle related issues. I brought in a 2014 Victory Cross Country tourer for a new clutch. I supplied tge clutch, gaskets and fluids. I was quoted $280.00 +. After having the bike for a month, they calked and stated the clutch was in but now a noise was heard in the case. Not rhere when I rode it into the bay!!! I asked them to look at it fast forward to 2 months and not only did they not look at it, it was left out in the winds for a month.. When I went to bring the bike to someone else, they quoted me $500.00! I ened paying $300.00 for a bike that I coukdnt ride and was a disaster. I took it to another shop and when they looked at it tgey saud parts of the clutch basket were instalked improperly... which caused the bearing to fail.. I went to Viva Powersports looking for a Seadoo GTI SE 170 Jet ski. They had two 2024 models on the floor. This is the first place where I've actually seen any in stock. Cameron came to me and offered his assistance. I told him about what I thought I should pay for it. He immediately went to work, finding discounts and rebates, and came back with a price that was agreeable to me. There were no hidden costs, surprise markups, etc. What he quoted to me was exactly what I paid. Cameron was the first sales rep I've encountered that was totally straight forward with a price quote. He went to work preparing the paperwork, etc., got the jet ski ready, and before too long, I was driving away with a brand new jet ski at a fair price. Cameron was great! Sad to say that this local dealerships service department sucks! I bought a 2018 Star Venture and love the bike! The service department is not able to give service nor valid explanations. The service can't even write up a work order correctly! Now, I am a college trained mechanic with 19 years experience and of those I was a service Manager for GM with lot's of training is customer service. So, I think am able to professionally say they suck! I called today because this machine is highly technical and it was beeping but not starting, on line advise indicated I needed a specific number from Yamaha to use as a code to do an emergency start... and the lady that answered in the service department to get some help getting that number was only able to say no, don't know and we can't do that! I then asked for a Yamaha service number and she said she didn't know that either! I would gladly drive 200 miles to get a bike from some other dealership! Purchased an ATV for my son's birthday and after 15 minutes of the first ride it was leaking fuel and wouldn't stay running. Took it back to the shop and was informed it was fixed. Second ride....approximately 20 minutes, same problem and had to take it back to the shop again. I asked for some compensation due to the fact this is a brand new machine and got the feeling I should feel lucky it would be covered under warranty??? They actually said "we're not going to charge you" No kidding, it's only been run for 30 minutes and it's brand new. No regard for the fact this was as birthday gift for a little boy and it's back in the shop in as many times as it's been started. Unprofessional general manager and service counter person. The people that run this place must have a lot of friends leaving a lot of fake reviews. Or maybe they are only referring to the sales department. The service department is absolutely horrible and this is not just by my account. We are big off road people and have a very large group of friends who off road, and all of us are in complete agreement, do not, under any circumstances use their service department. So here is what happened to us, we have a extended warranty on our rzr, we took it into viva to get the side by side looked at due to a leak, they had us leave our rzr with them. Every few days I would call, and was lied to many times that they were waiting for Polaris to respond, come to find out, three weeks later, the claim had not even been submitted, because they didn't have time to take the photos and submit the claim, I was so irritated, we store out rzr covered, always, and they do not have a covered area for their repaired vehicles, so it had been sitting outside baking for three weeks and they did not have time to take photos. Photos that would take five minutes. After my very frustrated phone call they said I could pick up the rzr. I said that didn't make sense, in the middle of a claim, the woman reassured me that it was okay and then they would call me when they got a response. Two weeks later no calls no contact I called again. New woman answered with what I thought was hope. Said no we were NOT allowed to take THE RZR, go figure, and asked us to bring it back. Saying they would do the claim that day and have a response in 7-10 days. We are at 3-4 weeks and still, not repaired. I have to call for any update which all I get is an excuse, "we are super busy". Spoke to the business manager, not just the service manager that I have spoke to many times, he says he will look into it. We will see. We are talking months for a, per the rep, 45 minute job. We thought driving to Santa Teresa to get it fixed was rough, we will never make this mistake again. While everyone is nice, and this I have to give them credit for, it isn't worth it. We spend over 20K on a Offroad vehicle to off road and to be safe. But for the prime of this year it has been in their shop full of excuses and reasons. We also ride motorcycles and ATVs. Let's just say they have lost out business forever Once we get our rzr back we are never stepping foot into that place again. read more

So after reading all the reviews on Viva I have to disagree. I'm not going to speak on other people's experiences, I'll just speak on mine. I was in the market for a new Panigale V4S and informed Clayton, the sales rep of this prior to Viva even receiving one in stock. I got a text message from Clayton the moment a V4S was on ground at Viva inquiring if I was still interested. I returned the text with a phone call and was immediately transferred to Clayton who quoted me a price for the bike that was lower than any other I had received from any other dealer within 600 miles of El Paso. This was an out the door price. Not a price before taxes, title, and other fees. Once I secured financing, Viva pulled my bike off the showroom floor since I was out of town and I couldn't pick it up right away. When I got there to pick it up Scott, Clayton, and Tiffany all worked with me to make sure everything was A ok with my purchase and that I was happy with everything. Tiffany even let me borrow a tinted visor off her own personal helmet since the photo chromatic visor I wanted wasn't in stock. That's customer service! So now I needed to acquire some gear to match my new bike! So I worked my way downstairs to find what I needed. I was help out by Nae Nae and was shown a pair of awesome Ducati Gloves by Spidi. Viva discounted the price on the gloves WAYYYYYY lower than MSRP! I was looking for a Dainese jacket but unfortunately Viva isn't a Dainese retailer but no biggie. I understand how things work and know that Dainese charges a HUGE premium to dealers to even sell their gear. There isn't a huge selection of in store availability but lets be honest. It's El Paso, not that many people are rocking $1000 Dainese leather jackets or even gear in general so its understandable that Viva isn't making that buy in with Dainese or keeping a bunch of gear in stock. Other than Dainese, if you want gear and it's not in stock they can order it for you and have it within a couple working days. Fast forward one week and the Ducati I purchased needed some recall work since it's a 2018 and a brand new model. I was called by Viva and asked when I would like to make an appointment go the recall work. I dropped my bike off with Mike and Jose. Recall Work was done within a day and I was back out riding the next day. I can't speak on other people's experiences but every time I go to Viva I have a pleasant experience. Hmmm...torn on this place. Took my CBR1000RR in for a new battery. They installed a dead battery (barely lasted till I got home, then promptly died). To their credit, they came and picked up the bike for free. But then they installed another battery....also dead. I don't know if the stock on the shelves is old, but this was incredibly frustrating. The staff were friendly enough, if kind of checked out and inattentive (they were frequently talking to friends/family that came in instead of talking to the waiting customers). Finally went to Moto Sage and had a VASTLY better experience. Friendly, knowledgeable, put in an actual new battery. If you're in el Paso I strongly recommend Moto Sage over these guys. read more

As far as the inside is this place goes it has a lot of different brand to choose from. I feel like the jacket selection is very limited. They need to add more leather and take away some of the mesh that leaves you with crap protection. The prices are pretty on point here but honestly you can buy most of those things online for cheaper. As far as the bikes, I was pleased that they had Triumph. I feel like it's always impossible to find a dealer that carries triumph. Parts for my bike are very hard to come by. The biggest down fall to this place is the 100$ an hour labor. That's INSANE. I would never pay that much money an hour for a bike. Ever. Their price for an hour on Ducati and BMW go up too. I'm getting a recall done here next week on my 06 Daytona so I will update this review if it goes smoothly or remove some stars and explain what happened if it went badly. read more

Had a customer that was in dire need of a Kawasaki slave cylinder that Viva had in stock per inventory software. Customer was in for the Leesburg Bike Fest and was stranded. He needed to get back on the road asap to catch up with his buddies. I called the parts department to verify part was in stock. It was; which was great news. I then asked to overnight the part to us. Here is when the train wreck started. The gentleman stated that they do not take credit cards over the phone and that I would have to send a check. A check! I reviewed with him that we are a dealer that has been in business for over 46 years and willing to email over a credit card verification form with photo ID and a copy of our tax exemption form. I reviewed the importance of having the part over night to help get our customer get back on 2 wheels. The gentleman said sorry can't be done. I asked for the parts manager. She was also pleasant to speak to however same road block. I asked to speak to the General Manager as i didn't want to give up yet. The GM stated to the parts manager she was out to lunch. I advised the part manager that my experience with their credit card procedure lacked customer service when dealing with another dealer and would post my review on google so her GM can read how their policy failed us and my customer. Hubby dragged me here so we could get passenger pegs for his back and a jacket, helmet, and gloves for me (which I'm totally opposed to but the things I do for love). The parking lot SUCKS let's start with that. It's barely got any spots available. And when we left some guy was wrecklessy testing out a four wheeler with his toddler on the front driving fast in the already tight parking lot. Real safe. We went in and hubby walked me upstairs to look at bikes I had no interest in. According to him they had a much bigger selection before. Apparently they are remodeling because BMW bought them or something and wants a larger space for themselves. (Whatever!) We went downstairs looking for gear. Hubby already forewarned me the place was pricey and boy was he not joking. Not to mention the selection of helmets were NOT appealing to say the least. Jacket selection was limited and not very much was worth the price (for safety) that they offered. The glove selection (according to hubby) was totally awful. And their passenger pegs were so limited it was ridiculous. They didn't have the pegs for my husbands bike, but they said they could order them. (No thanks.) Horrible customer service. Wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase from these guys. I put a $500 deposit back in January of this year for a can-am for an agreed price. After 8 months of waiting with no follow up from the staff whatsoever I finally get a call from my sales guy Bryan telling me that he had good news and bad news. Good news is your unit is here he said, bad news is the price went up another 3k. I asked "what about the agreed price on the paper we signed for the deposit?". He said that paper wasn't a contract it was just an agreement to order and purchase the unit. So I asked that how come that wasn't on the paper that we signed. He said they don't include it in there but that he's just following orders from his boss. He said they raised the price on everyone who had ordered a unit. Anyways a bunch of back and forth BS with this staff. But like they say " Employees are only as good as their manager". The manager didn't really do much or even felt like he cared.. all he would say is "I understand" but wouldn't do anything about the situation. I have been using viva for quite sometime now. I've even bought my '17 yfz (new) from them too. I love going there getting stuff for my quad. The staff there is always cool with me and I've even made friends there. Their service department isn't bad. I've had only one issue with them thus far and the General Manager Sam took care of it. He was so upset that he personally fixed the problem and handle the issue correctly. The staff always listens to you and will do ask you ask within company guidelines. Like myself, I have a certain way I want my race quad to be handled. They will handle it the way you want as long as you sign the release form when leaving. If I'm at the parts desk. They'll look up the part, and try and locate it within the city to even over the mountain. I was searching for a certain helmet and they found it for me. Was a drive but I got what I wanted thanks to them. When I bought my quad, they were very helpful. I did already know a lot about the machines and sport, but so did the seller which was nice to see. I fortunately bought my quad with cash from them so I can't speak on Financial department a lot but they were nice and took what I offered. There was no fight and this was right when they hit the floor. All in all I recommend this place over any other in the city. If you have issues with service work, it's always best to check before leaving. Motor work is ALWAYS gonna be hit or miss at a dealership. Your best bet is to send it off to a race company to rebuild or fix. Their gear selection is awesome and they always got the new stuff in. Everything from FOXRacing to THoR. I never received a return call from anyone. The receiptist took my number several times. I spoke to several sales people who I won't mention their names. I never a received a return call from any of them. I guess they are t on commission or my money wasnt good enough. I even told the sales people it's a cash deal with no financing. What a joke. Great shop if you need a last resort... I was looking to purchase a new bike. When asking any questions regarding the bike, the salesperson had absolutely no idea. I asked about dampening adjustment on the rear shock. Salesperson had no idea what a damper was and needed to talk to an associate. The associate seemed knowledgeable in racing, however he was the only one in the entire shop who knew anything beyond how many wheels a motorcycle has. Getting into freight and setup, they charge $1000 in this alone. I've never seen this from any shop even in States such as Cali or Florida. My bike has been in the service department for 9 months now. The first 3 months my bike wasn't even touched for the estimate. They didn't even know my bike was there. I've called every two weeks and it's something different every time about why my bike isn't even began to be repaired. I was lied to saying my bike was put on the lift to be inspected for an estimate and I go in 2 days later to check and my bike is still sitting in the same spot and not touched and was even told no they didn't do anything. I called 2 weeks before the New Years and they told me my bike has 2 bikes in front of mine before it gets repaired and will be worked on after New Years. My bike has been there for 9 months how is there bikes in front of mine. I recently called and they say they don't know when it will be fixed. Do not take your bike to get serviced here. This will be the last time I give them my business. I had my bike in there in 2020 and it was in there for 6 months. Worst experience I've ever had. We drove up from Las Cruces with full intention to purchase today or within the next month. We were there 15 minutes browsing and weren't even greeted with a hello, good morning, somebody will be with you, do you have any questions, etc. I finally asked a man standing with another man standing/working there if he could help us and answer some questions. He very unenthusiastically agreed to walk over and chat with us. After a few questions, he printed off an info paper on the jet ski and handed it to us. I very specifically told him we wanted to buy ASAP and asked for prices and or possible specials or deals on 2 different skis. He disappeared in the back to talk to his manager and we waited and browsed. We wandered outside to look at the fishing ski once again and decided if that was the service we received when trying to purchase something from you, we certainly didn't want to see what kind of customer service/care during the process of buying and possible services in the future. I guess we'll get some lunch in EL Paso and head back to Las Cruces and purchase there. I own my own business and would be mortified if any of my employees treated my customers that way; therefore I'm writing this review Incase you would like to know what your customer service looks like from our experience. I have been riding and training new riders for over 30 years and I have never been more serious about staying away from their sales people and management. They do not have the best prices; service is extremely slow and very questionable; and they (current management) have no idea how to deal with problems or issues. Wow! I've been in El Paso or two weeks and came here to shop for my much anticipated KTM Enduro. Well everything started off well as the salesman was new their but pretty cool. I told him that I was shopping and wanted to know the bottom dollar price for the KTM. He said I had to do a credit application to get "serious" numbers so I did. I also did a credit application in line with a place in Santa Teresa NM to compare prices. I literally was there for 1.5 hours and they didn't even run my application. I left and told them to call me with numbers. Long story short they didn't even call me so I called the manager and explained everything to him. Long story short the manager pretty much said "he just works there" so stay away from this place. I'm headed to Santa Teresa in a day or so to buy from them. They had actually gave me numbers and called me six times before these guys could even run my credit!!! They also gave me a great deal on the bike I want. RIP OFF!!!!!! This place is absolutely horrible in every way. If I could possibly leave zero stars, I would. Firstly, the customer service is horrible. We walked in, no one acknowledged us, and we were left on our own to try to figure out prices and the bike that suited our needs. One of the sales people (TONY) was smoking outside IN FRONT OF THE STORE. When we needed help, we had to hunt someone down to get help. That's just the beginning... We found a bike we were interested in (used bike). I sat on the bike and felt it was very comfortable, so my hubby wanted to buy it for me. When we asked the salesperson a price, he spit a number out that was unbelievable. We were asking him questions about the bike (I know nothing about bikes, so this was an extremely horrible experience for me), and the salesperson knew NOTHING about the bike. Everything we would ask, he replied, "I don't know." I would also like to mention, my husband is bilingual in English and Spanish and so was the salesperson. I speak only English. When I would ask the salesperson a question (David was his name), he would reply to my husband in Spanish then my husband would translate everything me. I felt left out and horrible. Wow. We then were trying to agree on a price, and he kept going to the sales desk and taking about 30 minutes at a time. Well, he quoted us a final rock bottom price. We said we were very interested, but we wanted to test drive the bike first. The bike's battery was dead, so we could not test drive it that day and had to wait until the next day so they could charge the battery. We came back the next day, and they actually raised the price on us. They said that because we did not buy it that day, we wouldn't be able to get the original quoted price. I am so tired of getting ripped off by these guys. Went in for plugs for my bike was told I have to use the 20$ yes 20$ plugs for my bike so me being the trusting fool I am I pay 80$ something dollars for 4 plugs go home install them run the bike to check then find out that the 4$ platinum plugs will not only work but make the bike run better. Reading the other 2 reviews i can attest a bit for the sales dept as last yr i was in the market for an 1199 or RSV4. i'll say the sales guy didn't take me too seriously and that was no problem, i was more sight seeing and testing the waters, albeit if i wanted the red 1199s i sat on i could've given a check on the spot. I'm only commenting on this part as my 1 time experience, and isn't accounted for in my star review. I did procure an 1199 Tricolor around April 2014 from a private sale, no problems w/the bike etc. I do all my own mx and no one touches anything i own unless i know you and trust you. shortly thereafter, a recall came in for a simple switch replacement. problem is i live 100mi from the dealership. DeShaun understood this, and after getting nice weather, i coord'd w/him to bring the bike first thing this past Saturday morning, i show up and 5 guys swarmed the truck to help off load it. The ducati tech was knowledgeable, seemed legit etc. He said give me until 2pm, and i asked if he can get the rear passenger pegs off as well which needed more than the std removal b/c of the aftermarket exhaust. He did this, no problem for IMO a reasonable price, i tried a few times but it was looking to be ducati PITA. He also adjusted the chain, updated the CPU etc. Right on queue, 2pm, DeShaun called and said bike is gtg. I get there, and no kidding, bike is done, everything was complete no BS and again 5 guys helped me load it w/o needing to start it. My 4 stars is for the service. Did everything as said, had the part for the recall, everyone was nice etc. My only ding is mechanics hands are not clean like a surgeons so it'd have been nice if a quick wipe down of the grease prints were removed. $25k or $5k bike doesn't matter to me, thats the difference between good and awesome. Also, if the mngr reads this, get your service guys a better office, place looks like a backyard mechanic opened up. Nice big dealership, a box for your service guy isn't professional looking. AND one more thing, regardless of price no one's bike should be sitting outside overnight. The bikes are left outside after serviced. Thank you for leaving mine inside the shop until i came back, but, if you leave your's there for service, out in the elements it goes. read more

Not too sure why this place has a bad review, Sam and Josh did a really good job, we're very friendly and helped me get the SV650 I wanted, and kept me up today whenever new information came about. Really happy with them! Would recommend them to anyone! read more

skip this place if you want to avoid stress and anxiety. 1. salesman didn't know/hadn't heard of the bike I was looking for. I had to point it out to him. 2. they wanted to charge me $295 to test ride the bike which would be deducted from the price if I ended up buying it. if I didn't buy it then they would keep the $295. 3. I bought it. it had a rear brake master cylinder recall which they 'fixed'. left with it with NO rear brakes. had to pump it 4 - 5 times before rear brakes would start to grab. 4. brought it right back so they could bleed the brakes right. was told by the service manager 'that might be something you will have to live with'. they did re-bleed the brakes and they worked better but still not 100%. I bought a $30 brake bleeder and $6 can of brake fluid at autozone and did it myself(its not rocket surgery(I know its rocket science)). 5. I liked the bike so much I wanted a second. they didn't have another on hand but said they could find one elsewhere and have it shipped in. they would call me back the next day. the call never came, I bought one in another city six months later. 6. I ordered the service manual for the bike. they ordered the wrong one. they found the right one but was on back order. I would check on it every so often when I was in the area, 'no, still not in' every time. 14 month later I decide to cancel the order. 7. I am told they cant refund my money because it had been so long???? I was told 'we should have canceled your order and refunded you'. why didn't they?????????? 8. I call the boss man and explain the situation. he says 'that's right we cant do anything about it now. the RO(whatever that is)says right on there that you have to pick up your item in a certain amount of time'?????? I replied that it never came in how was I supposed to pick it up. says he is busy and will call me back. another flunky called later and says 'we found your manual'??????? 9. I go pick it up. it had greasy fingerprints on it, some scratches on the cover and the spine was creased as if it had been opened up flat. 10. I asked if it was a used manual, the guy replied 'no, its just been laying back there for so long'. I call bs because the first one they ordered for me came wrapped in plastic and in a binder which I didn't get this time. 11. I asked how long has it been here. the guy says probably since you ordered it!!!!! great service. NEVER BUYING ANYTHING HERE EVER AGAIN!!! P.S. I bought the manual here because I was getting 15% off the price since I bought the bike there. the savings wasn't worth the hassle. read more

My 2012 Triumph Explorer's side stand bolt broke for the second time which also broke the side stand itself at the attachment point. Also snapped off the left rear foot peg. I called a Triumph dealer in Phoenix and they said there was a recall on the bolt and since that caused the side stand and rear peg to break all would be covered under the recall. Since I'm 500 miles away I contacted Viva Motorsports to arrange for the parts to be ordered and explained the other parts that were broken resulted from the bolt failure. They said they would order the parts and call me when they arrived. Today, after waiting nearly two weeks, I called them and was told the bolt was in but no other parts were ordered and were NOT covered under the recall. I'm a bit disgusted by their ineptitude since this is prime riding season and now I'm going to have to go to Phoenix, trailering the bike to get this done. I made myself very clear when I originally contacted Viva and received assurance that it would be taken care of by both Parts and Service Depts. I asked for a manager but got voicemail instead. I live 100 miles away so dropping in and cornering a manager is out of the question. I wouldn't patronize this place again for love or money. Unprofessional and disorganized...
