Walk in. They had availability, no wait time for my visit. The receptionist inquired abt the services I wanted. I wanted a spring look. She asked for a picture. Julie was my nail tech. She is great! Julie is patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She explained the Hard Gel, which I appreciated. We chatted a bit. This is my first time visiting the salon, and will recommend them & Julie to others. She kept pushing additional services and when I would politely decline she would stop talking. It also felt like her and the other staff were complaining about me but I couldn't be sure as I don't speak the language. As for the pedicure, I couldn't have done a better job myself. Viva nails is amazing. It was my first time here and I will definitely be returning. I had a dip manicure with Ruby and my nails looked really good. She got the shape the way I liked and really was precise and took her time. I also had a gel pedicure with Tery, and it was so relaxing and she really took good care of my toes. The massage was great and I'm a flight attendant, so I stand on my feet for 10-12 hours a day, and my feet felt great and so did my legs. I highly recommend Viva nails. The owner and staff are wonderful! I work nearby and on a whim went in with only 40 minutes left of my lunch hour and asked if they could do the impossible: a pedicure and manicure and get me back to my work by 1 o'clock. She took on the challenge and pulled it off!!. I had a beautiful pedicure and manicure. I don't think she left anything out and I was back before 1 o'clock and thrilled with everything!! I did accidentally leave my credit card and didn't know where it was for a few days, but I was able to retrieve it. I'm highly disappointed in this place. They scammed the hell out of me. I got my nails done with CLEAR polish. I asked for gel and the guy doing my nails told me he was going to do polish bc they're both clear and it doesn't matter, which made me very upset because I type a lot and polish was going to chip. On their menu a simple manicure is $30 and he proceeded charge me $40 AND made me pay and tip in the middle of my appointment before he had even finished! Who does that?? I ended up not saying anything and seeing if they would hold and sure enough my thumb nail immediately chipped the next day at work. All my nails were uneven and different shapes too. I came back to get it fixed and a gel manicure is $45 so I should've only paid $5 extra because I paid $40 yesterday. They charged me $20!!! Just for them to paint my nails with clear gel that took not even a minute. Poor service and even worst customer care. I never had problems with my acrylic nails lifting or breaking before when I was doing my nails some place else, I decided to go to viva nails since is close to my work and it's convenient for me but I will never come back to this place again. Two days after I my bails got done, one nail completely fell, I came back there, they fixed it for me, they didn't charged me but they did a poor job on it, what I didn't complained about it and still left a good tip for the girl. A few hours after I left ANOTHER nail fell and I came back on the next day and if the first time they did a bad job the second one was even worst and I still tip her again! The nail that she redid the nail polish came off and I got two other nails lifting that I had to glue it. When I came back to them to complain about it they refused to give my money back, they wanted to charge me for a new fix and they refused to even take them out for free, saying it had passed one week my appointment! This is the worst experience I ever had in a nails salon, lack of customer care, and extremely low quality work executed by 3 different nail techs. I had two people that work with me that told me to NOT go to Viva nails and now I know why. I extremely DO NOT RECOMMEND this place! Follow the pictures of the nails: one glued back with press on glue, one that lifted, the other one that was "fixed" so bad that the nail polish came out, and the last one just an exemple of how she poorly redid the nail with thick lines, lack of finishing the fail correctly and you can see all the glue around the diamond! $108 dollars I paid for this that was a completely waist of money and my time. read more

She made a small mistake of putting a kid with someone else instead of who they requested, but the whole time I was there they were so mean to her going on and on. I never have had to write a negative review, however .....My daughter wanted her nails done before a trip she's taking. We went in and I told the woman specifically, "she would like teal with a happy face, short & classy please." I left my daughter and took my littles to eat. I come back and my daughter had crazy long nails. I proceeded to ask when paying what all the charges were for. She said my daughter had a short nail bed and she had to put an extender. I asked my daughter if her nails were what she wanted, she said "no, I asked twice if they could shorten it and the lady said no this is prettier." At this point I'm upset they are straight hustling us. I asked them to fix it because we didn't want long. A man working there proceeded to say this is why the parent is asked to come in (obviously he was not there when I initially came and spoke to the woman.) He tried throwing $5 back at me. I said look I don't want my money back. I just want it fixed. The pictures I provided are the finished product. $100. I can't even believe this costed us $100. In addition to this while fixing it they weren't aware I know their language and she called me an "idiot and that we asked for long nails not short. In addition to some other silly things." I'm writing this as I'm sitting in a different nail salon closer to my house and regretting it. Viva Nails is hands down the best nail salon in Nashville... I've literally never had a bad experience there. The staff is friendly, if you make an appointment they always prioritize you over walk-ins (unlike some of the other money-hungry places that try to squeeze people in and make you wait 20 min past your appointment time) and they always do a wonderful job. Seriously, don't go anywhere else... I wouldn't trust any other salon with my wedding nails, vacation pedicure, etc! Go and enjoy! read more
