Long waiting times and doctors that don't give you the time of time…read more Unfortunately, my appointment took quite a lot longer then I would've wanted. The waiting times were simply absurd, your brought into a room, your nurse checks your vitals, then your just sitting there bored, stare at the wall or something for the next what felt like thirty minutes. Better get a book out or your phone. And then the doctor was super nice. She cared for me of course, that's why I'm giving such a high review despites the problems. Unfortunately doctors here aren't given enough time to spend with their patients. She literally said to me that she just can't spend more then a few minutes with me. So yea overall, it was an okay experience. But they should schedule appointments better and not overwork these doctors and allow more time between appointments to spend talking and discussing your medical history and what's really bothering you. I personally prefer to talk my doctor's ears off about my problems. I have so many conditions it's absurd. Maybe it's just me, but I felt like I wasted my time here. Who knows, maybe I'll find a different primary office to switch to.

Cornerstone family medical is a huge disappointment. They will never call you back. They say they…read morewill, mark it urgent and still no call backs ever. They will also discontinue your prescription without an explanation. Oh, and if you get labs done they will tell you or share your results until the doctor says it's okay. They will make you take time from work to show your labs and tell you keep doing what you are doing. I told the doctor that was a horrible policy to hold the patients medical results from the patients and he said we'll, thats not our policy. As I'm leaving the doctor is arguing with the ladies at the front desk. Its like nobody know what's going on. DO NOT RECOMMEND...

This was my first visit to Canyon Family Medicine. I was impressed with my very first call to them…read moreand was just impressed with my in-person visit. The front office staff was very friendly and professional. I saw Alexis Snyder and her Medical Assistant, Amy. Again, so friendly as if I had been a long time patient. It was such a change from my previous doctors office. There was no long wait to be taken to the back and when Amy said Alexis would be just a few minutes, it was just a few minutes. No long wait time. Alexis listened to what I was saying and didn't just brush me off. This was just yearly check up, ie listen to my heart, check my ears, etc but it was a great experience. I have to get blood work done and they'll do it in office and the follow up for that can be Telehealth or in office. If you are looking for a new doctors office this is it!!!!!

Location: 6402 E. Superstition Springs…read more Worst encounter with medical "professionals" in my life. Wait was long. Felt very rushed while there. Then another long wait just to have to remind them I was supposed to also have an ultra sound...waited another 15 minutes to get that paper work. The following day I went to the recommended clinic for a blood test (may 3rd). I called them back after a week to see if we could go over the results since I had not heard from them. No answer by the way, I left a message. I got a call later that afternoon stating they had not received results from the clinic. But said they would find out and call me back. The next day I got the results myself from the clinic and called the doctors office again (3 times during the day with no answer). Left a message letting them know that I have the results and would like to talk to a doctor about them. Its now May 17th and I am still waiting for a call.

My boyfriend Dave saw him several weeks ago, and Dave couldn't stop talking about what a kind, caring profession Dr. Wade is, especially after he received a personal call from Dr. Wade that week to report the results of a coronary CT. Dave's reaction was, "What doctor calls you with test results himself? This is amazing!" Then I saw Dr. Wade myself for the first time this week for my annual exam. I'm 66 years old, and I have never had such a positive experience with a doctor in my life. Frankly, I avoid going to the doctor and haven't been to one in years. My appointment began with Dr. Wade's medical assistant LaShonda, who has worked for him for more than 10 years; his other assistant, Cindy, has worked for him longer than that! This said so much to me. LaShonda stopped what she was doing to tell me how wonderful it has been to work for Dr. Wade, and then she told me a bit about him, all of which was so reassuring to me since I am nervous about seeing any doctor. LaShonda herself was very friendly and very kind, while still being efficient in taking my vitals and medical history and getting me ready to be examined. Then Dr. Wade came in and was so welcoming! He sat down facing me and spent more than 10 minutes explaining his philosophy of health care vs. medical care, as well as how his practice is run, including that I should always expect a personal call after tests/labs are performed -- whether the results are normal or abnormal, something most practices do not do, which leaves patients wondering if their results were even looked at. Only then did Dr. Wade begin the exam, during which he was so thorough and so very gentle. I expected that I would need a referral to several specialists for dermatology and gynecology, but Dr. Wade performed those exams himself, saving me so much time and saving me the cost of co-pays with two specialists. I am overweight, and I don't exercise, but he did NOT shame me about either thing, but instead was encouraging about the benefits of exercise. Again, I am going to use the word KIND, because that is the memory I carried away. I left that appointment feeling GOOD and feeling CARED FOR, both of which I have rarely experienced following a medical exam. My boyfriend and I can't stop talking about what a gift Dr. Wade is in our lives. I wish I could thank that patient of Dr. Wade's that we met in urgent care -- who, BTW, told us that he has been with Michael Wade for 31 years, and he'd never go to anyone else.
