I am filing a complaint against Vit Car Service regarding unfair pricing and unprofessional behavior. I have been using this car service regularly for over one year and have consistently paid between $18-$19 for the same trip. Today (March 18, 2026), I was charged $25 for the same route without any explanation. When I questioned the price, the dispatcher told me, "If you don't like the price, don't call us anymore." I find this behavior unacceptable and unprofessional. Customers should be informed of any price changes in advance, especially long-term customers. Dispatch needs to be honest about having available cars and ACCURATE wait times. I called a car at 8:02 am, dispatcher told me five minutes; the driver showed up at 8:20. No apology and then drove like we were sightseeing. Meanwhile I'm trying to get to work. He drove 15 miles per hour the entire time, even on the highway. read more

The Worst In The Bronx! I missed work today because of VIT Car Service. Called at 8:45am - ten minutes later no one showed up nor did I receive the usual text message confirmation. Kept calling, line was busy all morning. I gave up at 9:37am. Sadly there are no other car services in my area or reliable transportation so I have to rely on VIT. I've never complained before, but they do keep you on hold for much too long and most of the drivers don't understand English whatsoever or directions to simple destinations. This is a very unprofessional cab company with rude drivers. I took a trip from my place to work, which is a $15 trip, so i gave him a $20. this con artist gonna charge me $2 changes back. I tell him I usually pay $15, he's gonnalook at me and say it's not a $15, say I'm lying and peel off. This is a trip I've taken often with better cab companies. I call the base to complain, one guy agrees with me about it being a $15 trip, he puts me on hold, another guy answers and all of a sudden it's a $17 trip. That whole operation is full of crooks. People, you're way better off with Uber or Lyft, do not use VIT unless you want to get ripped off. read more

I called this car service tonight to ask what is the price to go around the block, now as you know in New York City it is vitally important once you park your car for you not to remove it if so you will not have a parking space and it is very hard to find parking. The car service quoted seven or eight dollars to go around the block and return. After doing this action, once the driver came to drop me off back to my Destiination he decided to quote a price twice the amount. I notified him of what the dispatcher stated And he decided to go back-and-forth. After contacting the dispatcher, he decided to change his statement and say you need to pay twice the amount and I asked him why is that when he stated what was supposed to be given. Now as you know in my post, I'm very honest open and playing when it comes to businesses and I want to be forthright with working with this company. As you know it is mini car services in New York City and this is not one I would recommend because they can't be true to their word. If they give you a price that make sure you have just that amount to give to that driver. read more

This so called "car service" is absolutely ridiculous. They don't come when they're supposed to, their dispatcher puts you on hold and doesn't offer a valid explanation as to where their lazy and incompetent drivers are. When you hang up they assume that you've been picked up when you're just frustrated that they have put you on hold for four to five minutes while you wait for a taxi that doesn't come. This is EXACTLY why the taxi apps continue to acquire service because they get the job done in a much more efficient way. VIT you are an absolute disgrace. read more

I used this service for the first time ever and I'm very disappointed with the people that answer the phone. The first guy that answered, I asked if they took CC, he said yes then put me on hold and left me there. Then all of sudden a text comes into my phone telling me that a cab will be there in 3 minutes...remind you I'm still on hold. Nor to mention that not once did they ask where I was going, which also meant they didn't give me a price. Then a car shows up and the driver, although very nice, attempted to guess a price. After I got in, I had to get right back out because the driver didn't have the CC device. Then I called back so they could send another car with CC capabilities and again, they still have not asked where I was going and left me on hold again. When the guy (different from the first one) finally came back, I had to quickly ask for the cost of the trip. I told him that the first guy put me on hold without even asking and I was rudely told "we stopped asking people where they were going". Terrible service! First time I called them they took me to Brooklyn instead of Wall Street. The driver was totally lost, unapologetic and I was late for work. I decided to give them a second chance and called them again. This time the driver showed up late ( went to pick me up at the wrong address) and then took me to midtown instead of Wall Street. Once again I was late to work. Every time it took more than an hour and a half to go from Morris park to Wall Street. This is a trip that on a Saturday I can make in less than 45 minutes driving myself. Called the company to complain and they could care less. Four stars because there isn't always a cab available but that's only about 10% of the time. The other day it was freezing I called Unicar twice and was waiting in the cold for twenty minutes and the cab never came despite calling twice. However, when I called VIT the cab arrived in less than two minutes. When there is a car available theyre always fairly priced and fast. Will always be my favorite cab service. read more

At around 3PM, I hailed cab on the intersection of Waters Place and Easterchester Road. This cab driver stopped and I got it. He asked where I was going and I told him (another address in the Bronx). He said "no. Im not taking you. There's too much traffic on the highway." I asked him "are you denying me service and kicking me out?" He said "yes and you can't prove it because I didn't call the base". I wished him a horrible day and proceeded to call the dispatch. After being connected to someone log in my complaint, I was hung up on TWICE. I called again a third time and spoke to Pedro who told me that the only way to file a complain was by calling the main office. The point of this review- cab drivers who don't want to drive through traffic are in the wrong profession. This driver and the company don't care about customers if they can refuse service to customers that they pick up outside of a medical clinic. Also, they are brazen in their actions because they feel that there are no consequences or proof of their acts. I love VIT. They always get a car te in five minutes or less and the drivers are always courteous and professional.

I was a customer of this company since they start offering their services. Since yesterday I officially decided to use a different company. I know the President Annie who is a hardworking and serious individual but her system is not really working, let me explain. It was decided that the cab drivers accept calls without knowing the destination but based on proximity to the call. I worked in Mosholu Parkway and I was using their services for my errands but most importantly to go to work. After the changes the drivers refuse to take calls that are not on the perimeter of the base. If the drivers take a call and then they realize if farther than 10 minutes they call the base and claim that the customer never came out. I was freezing waiting for that cab that never showed up. Then I called the base several times the line was always busy and the cab drivers would not take the call while using the application. When I finally spoke to the dispatchers they claim that I never went outside and the car left. To me this business has no respect for peoples time. I think you should not waste your time with this company. I hope the base improve because otherwise I little by little customer are going to choose another company with respect for those that are the heart of the business...the customers. read more
