Once in the wash, the machine cracked our windshield - there was zero damage prior. Upon exiting, we stopped and showed the employees the damage. They had us submit a claim form and said they'd get back to us. Fast forward, they sent an email stating they weren't liable and went into a diatribe about how this is how "tempered glass works" (Windshields aren't made of tempered glass, they are laminated glass). When I pushed back and told them I expected them to fix it or pay our deductible they refused.I contacted my insurance company and they said that the deductible is $250 and it could potentially raise our insurance rates if I file a claim. They refuse to take responsibility. I have contacted the Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and will make sure to tell everyone to NEVER EVER TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO ECLIPSE CAR WASH OR ANY OTHER CAR WASH THEY OWN (they own many). Buyer beware - this is NOT how you do business.

My truck was always turned over to me in spotless condition, inside and out. The new crew is more interested in getting your vehicle done so they can pick up their tip. Quality service has become a thing of the past here. Makes sense, because it was taken over by a GM dealership owner! See, pretty much everything the Government Motor Company (GMC) touches, turns to crap! So upon close inspection of my "brand new" Toyota 4-Runner, the truck came out of the detail shop with scratches, that weren't there when it went in. I told him I had the coupon, what my car was and when I'd bring it. He told me it would take 2 hours-no kids, pretty clean car. I gathered my ride, planned the pickup time (I had to be at court later), and dropped it then. First off, when you go to the garage, it's not entirely clear where to pull it in (across from Jimmy Johns, "Reserved" entrance). Found that, but then I didn't know how to open the gate. I called Rocky at the Wash, but was holding up all the traffic. You have to push the button and the operator will open it. Ok, that's done. I get there but the owner, Rocky, wasn't there. I left my keys in the drop box, assuming he knew the appointment. Fast forward 2 hours. When I called, he said it would be ready at 11:45. After getting my ride to take me up there again, I hand the coupon for a DETAIL over, "that'll be $12.50", "huh?", and turns out all they actually did was wash the outside. What?! Called my ride, he turned around and came back to get me. I wasn't going to miss this opportunity for a good detail! I called again at 3:30 and he said I could come get the car. After hanging out at Starbucks for a while, I headed over. They insisted it was ready. Check out the photos, was it ready? $125 detail job ready? I planned my whole day around this, as I don't work downtown. The outside wash/wax gets a 4.5/5. There were still very dirty areas related to the outside but they were inside doors. But this is an expensive detail! Wax job was lovely, however. The inside left a lot to be desired. Mud was still in a few spots on the seats (when I got home I wiped it off with a cloth...), dirty cup holders, dirty door handle, dirty glove box, etc etc etc. See photos. Who would pay $125 for this? Not me. I'll be back to my regular General Grant Car Wash for a $20 wash/wipe and splurge on the $50 express detail which is much better than this! Maybe I didn't leave it long enough, maybe because I had a coupon (I told him I was reviewing), maybe they didn't like my car or I didn't look rich enough (I have $$ to spend, folks). I have no idea. For those that work downtown, you might have a better relationship but new-comers, I'd go somewhere else.

The kids running the wash were offended when I got out and swore while looking at my$60,000 truck stuck in a car wash. I did not swear at them. The manager finally showed up and we got the truck out unharmed and the equipment unharmed.. this is what I was concerned about. The manager pulled out a pressure washer and they sprayed the soap off the truck. I asked for my money back since the truck did not get washed. The manager came back after talking to the district manager, gave me my money and told me the issue was user error and never to come back again. I have probably done 1,000 or so car washes in my time... I know how to go thru a car wash! When I told him I could not believe he was blaiming me he told me to leave the property or he was calling the police for trespassing. Ridiculous! I have talked to a few managers of car washes near me to figure out the issue. I was concerned because I got new tires only a week before, which I also told this car wash. I was told new tires can be more sticky especially on the sides. You have to be lined up exactly straight as to not have an issue. My local guy says they also grease the first so many feet of the rails so the vehicles will definitely run in straight. This car wash in Mt Vernon has a very quick turn into the carwash. I even backed up and tried to make sure I was getting lined up well but I do not think they had me lined up properly. One thing I can tell you is it was Not User Error! I asked the manager for the district managers number. He would not give it to me. I gave my number so he could call me and no surprise no phone call.
