I ordered a bottle of a limited edition whiskey from Scotland. The distillery in Scotland outsourced the shipping to Vista Spirits and Wine who in turned outsourced the shipping to one of the worst shipping companies in the world. GLS shipping who is a trash company with a 1.3 rating. I reached out to Vista and got a person who acted concerned and said I will personally handle this and get with GLS shipping since I had tried to deal with them for 3 days! He said I will get back to you. Crickets from him. SHOCKER (said with sarcasm). I also reached out to the distillery in Scotland to tell them how incompetent Vista was and they should rethink using them. It is extremely disappointing that this company has been selected to fulfill orders for **Shay Cognac**, given the consistent issues I have encountered with them. I placed my order well in advance--on **April 27**--to ensure timely delivery before **Mother's Day**. The package was scheduled to arrive at an **Amazon Locker** near my home at Safeway on **May 5**. However, upon checking the tracking details that day, I saw that the package had actually been delivered on **May 2**, yet I was never notified of the delivery nor provided an access code to retrieve it. I contacted **Vista Wine and Spirits** and spoke with **Lucas**, who informed me that I should have received the code via email. I explained that I was never notified of the delivery nor given any access credentials. Lucas then stated that the manager at **Safeway** should have the code. After speaking with the **Safeway manager**, I was informed that they are not provided codes for **Amazon Lockers**. Lucas then said he would contact **UPS**, as he did not have the code either. I asked how long it would take because I was still at Safeway waiting. He assured me it wouldn't take long. However, after waiting some time, I called back, provided my information again, and was placed on hold. While on hold, Lucas called me from a different number, only to inform me that there was nothing he could do--he still didn't have the code and that **UPS** had to provide it. This company had no issue charging me **$116.99**, yet every order I place with them is met with unnecessary complications. Now, I am left without the product I specifically ordered for **Mother's Day**, and they refuse to expedite a replacement. This is completely unacceptable. This is my **third** order with this company, and each time, there has been a problem with receiving my purchase. Their **lack of accountability, disregard for customers, and failure to provide reliable service** reflect very **poor business practices**. Sold and shipped defective bottles of Le Portier Cognac. Every bottle I received, the corks broke into the bottles. One of the bottles cracked upon opening. As I bought a few bottles, four months had passed until I opened the bottle that cracked. I tried to get a replacement and was told no. They said their "policy" doesn't allow refunds after 30 days. I explained and provided receipts that I bought a few bottles. I didn't know I had to chug them immediately in order to secure a warranty. So, I asked to see this "policy". After reviewing the policy, there was no mention of 30 days. They told me the "policy" is case by case. So basically, whatever they feel like that day. Terrible customer service, terrible craftsmanship and a nonexistent "policy" they use to justify their poor products. read more

This is a great little liquor spot because they have a lot of craft beers and just about anything else you can think of. Oh and the prices are absoluty affordable which i always love and the older guy that works there is so friendly. I thought Bevmo was pretty affordable for a mom and pop this is the place to buy any type of alcohol. This place is a tucked-away little gem in a Vista mini stripmall next to my favorite Circle K gas station. The variety is good, which outweighs the the slightly higher prices. I assume it's family owned because the different men that work there all look related. I will always be grateful for this little place being open the day of the massive blackout. They were letting groups of 2-3 people in with an employee wielding a flashlight. Since there was nothing else to do except drink with loved ones that night, I sure was glad Vista Wine & Spirits was open when nothing else was. Thanks guys! read more

They don't adhere to the posted hours. I've noticed this MANY times. Don't swing by on your way to work for a Red bull or the like. If you'd like a little something at the end of a long day, be sure to get there at least 15-20 minutes before posted closing hours. Thursdays are the worst.
