Well I wasn't expecting this place to be so small but you have to make it work. I thought they would have a mass amount of craft beer but was I wrong! They did have some decent beer like Belching Beaver and Latitude 33 but the prices were sky high!!! I wasn't impressed at all and probably will not be back. What ever you do don't go there to fill a CO2 container, weight it first if you do. It take them multiple times to get it filled hoping you won't figure it out. And then when you do question the fill issue, some of the family that works there make you feel like a pile of shit for noticing. Now if you want your typical addictive shit from a liquor store, its all there. I will say, there is one guy who works there who is genuinely a nice person, the rest are fake and want your money. read more

This has been our neighborhood local store for many years. Fair prices and kind service - great variety!

Located next to the U-Haul and across the street from the Massachusetts trolley stop, this liquor store is easily accessible and has ample parking. I remember coming here as a kid when it was still called San Altos Liquor to buy licorice and Mexican candy. The same guy still owns the location. Of course, everyone thinks their neighborhood liq is the best so I can't say I don't have a bias but you can find everything you'd expect from a liquor store here. Also great for those times you run out of milk or need stamps. They also make keys. Open until 11pm every night except Sunday, when they close at 10pm. read more

I came for a CO2 refill, and at $3.99/lb, and being close to my home, that's. It bad. The first refill I left feeling as if it felt the same as when I came in. Granted I haven't filled in a while so I didn't think much of my 5# tank. When I came home I weighed it and it was almost the same weight as empty. I called back and spoke to Eddie who told me to come by and he would take care of it. Upon the second fill of my one and only bottle, it was an instant difference. He made sure it was full for me. On top of that, for my trouble, he gave me a beer- complimentary for me coming back. That's how business is earned: building a nice rapport with the locals. This place is great. huge selection of beer and liquor, and even has a walk in beer cave! Great selection but BY FAR the WORST prices I've seen at a liquor store around Lemon Grove. Some of their high end liquor is HUNDREDS of dollars more expensive than what competitors are charging. So... unless you like bottom shelf stuff, I wouldn't bother stopping in. read more

I am incredibly impressed with the selection and the customer service, equally! I love the secret beer room they didn't have a specific beer I was looking for, and he said come back Thursday it'll be here. I chose a beer I'd never tried, drank one and didn't like it. I called and he said bring it back. He exchanged it for a six pack of beer I know I like, despite my having drank a beer out of the six! That's how you make customers and keep them loyal. We live nearby and this place has saved us many times! They carry everything! They have a wonderful selection of craft beers and spirits. If the don't have it and you want it, they will get it for you! They also carry everything you could possibly run out of. Just last night I ran out of vegetable oil and they carry it!
